Exciting instructive Pilansberg Safari Day
5/5

It was a pleasure and privilege for me to had Alex Freire as my guide.
He offered me an inspirational, practical and motivational overview about the history, culture of South Africa. Beyond of that he is an experienced Safari Guide. He understands his craft and showed a great passion for the animals and the culture of this country. I was the first time in South Africa making such a Safari Trip. The chance to see the big five just 2 hours from Johannesburg in one of the country's most popular wildlife areas Pilanesberg Game Reserve was a wonderful experience for me. Set in an ancient volcanic crater, this well-stocked reserve has a dramatic landscape that
supports a wide variety of plants, animals and birds. As I said, this was a kind of appetizer for me and if God wills I am going to come back with my family for a longer time.
Everything has worked well, the booking with getyourguide, communication, the time speed.
It was a great experience and relief during me business trip.

Amazing game drives, great guide - 19 days of wonderful
5/5

Planning our trip with Alex Friere by email and skype was part of the fun. He created a 19-day African holiday that fit us perfectly - our interests, time and $$. We were taken care of from pick up at the airport in Johannesburg to Kasane and Chobe National Park in Botswana, through to Victoria Falls and then to Durban and up to Kwalazulu Natal reserves, and finally to our drop off at the airport for our flight home. We enjoyed wonderful game drives (by boat and truck) from Garden Lodge in Kasane and staff there were great-wonderful hospitality. Accommodations in the Drakensburg, Durban, St. Lucia, Kosi Bay and Tembe were all different and all lovely - always good food, with kind and hospitable staff. We hiked in the Drakensburg. We snorkelled - saw wonderful colourful fish. Canoed African style. Enjoyed lots of bird watching and always saw game. We did see the big five - leopard sighting was lucky! And so much more - the wildlife watching was truly amazing. Alex was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide and very supportive of us as amateur photographers. His travel plans and arrangements were flawless and gave us options along the way, with time to explore, chill, even shop. We did not know that we could have a private, made-for-us safari and we are so glad to have found Unique-Safari.

Excellent choice for Safaris in South Africa
5/5

One of the best tours I have ever done. The guide Alex Freire is a sensational person who knows a lot about the subject and loves what he does, which is something very important. I had the opportunity to see animals very closely and it was a great experience. Ideal for anyone wanting to do a Safari in Johannesburg. He speaks fluent Portuguese as well as German and English. The company does other very interesting tours as well (including for Namibia and Botswana, which I want to do in the future). I recommend you check out the Unique-Safaris website and facebook.
