Excellent experience of Masai Mara and Uganda!
Having researched several possibilities for a Kenya/Uganda safari, we chose Mamaland because of the prompt detailed response and the price. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed a 15 day Masai Mara/Uganda safari (including chimps and gorillas). The whole experience was wonderful. We saw more than we expected - the big five but also The Migration in Kenya! The chimp and gorilla trekking are highly recommended. It's hard to put into words that moment when you are standing a few feet from a silverback! We opted for budget- moderate accommodation and in fact most places were much better than we'd expected. The food was fine and as a vegetarian, there were no problems as there are a lot of vegetables and eggs. We had two different guides (which wasn't what we'd expected) but it worked well. Both Ahmed and Moses were brilliant! We were well looked after and both guides made sure that we saw as much as possible in the time we had. Be aware that your guide is with you for the whole day (including meals) - this is a great way to get to know them and your chance to ask questions about what you've seen and what you're expecting to see. Some of the drives were long but that's how you see so much of the country and how people live day to day. Aside from the animals and birds, we enjoyed walking around the villages where we stayed. We took the opportunity of going on walks with the local guides at the places where we were staying - they explained the natural environment and also introduced us to locals who explained their way of life - try to take a few crayons/ balloons for children. We visited two schools - it was fascinating to see how people are trying so hard to provide a basic education.
We had a couple of breakdowns with the vehicles - but locals seem to be able to fix things quickly and this was an experience in itself - another chance to wander around and take in what's going on day to day!
If you get a chance to go white water rafting in Jinja - go for it! I was reluctant but it was an experience of a lifetime.
We changed a couple of the accommodations (which in hindsight was probably a mistake). Go with what the professionals recommend - you'll love it!

great experiece
Just returned from our Uganda safari with Mamaland. We really enjoyed the iternary they arranged. They assigned Moses as our guide and he was perfect for us. He is modest but very knowledgeable with respect to the animals and Ugandese culture and history and a very pleasant man to spent the safari. The different accomodation Mamaland arranged not very luxurious but everything needed (toilet, shower and a good bed) was available and all had a great view. Visiting the gorillas in Bwindi was the highlight of our holiday but also QENP and Lake Mburo suprised us with the number of animals. We can really recommend Mamaland safaris if you are planning a trip to Uganda. If you can arrange also Moses to be your guide i am sure you will have a great time.

Great experience for travelers on a budget
Safaris can be quite expensive, but if you're traveling on a budget and still want some quality wildlife experiences Mamaland Safaris will deliver.
Our guide Dona made sure our three days in Queen Elisabeth Park were action-packed with still enough time to rest in between. His skill in game spotting made sure we were able to see almost every animal on our list without looking too long. We only missed the elusive leopard.
The Pumba Lodges where we stayed were basic, but clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and were able to cook up some delicious food.
Absolutely recommended!

Mamaland Safaris is a great tour operator
We really enjoyed the Safari though Uganda and Rwanda with Mamaland Safaris. Our guide and driver, Moses, was extraordinary. With his skills we have been able to find many safari animals. As well he helped us very good with any questions and obstacles on the way. Since we haven't had so much budget, we were is most of the cases very happy with the accommandations. All great, thank you!

Mamaland Safaris are the best!
I had a great trip with Mamaland Safaris! It already started with a nice welcome when I arrived. I stayed for 1 night at the place of the owners ( a very nice and friendly couple :-)) and after a night sleep and a very nice breakfast the safari started. Throughout the trip I stayed at perfect accommodations at very nice places with superb views. Mamaland Safaris arranged it very well! I had a lot of nice gamedrives and everything was possible.....if I wanted to change things (routes, extra gamedrives, other parks, etc) it was possible too and they arranged it for me on the spot. My guide was also great and had a lot of knowledge about the country and all the animals in it. All and all I had a fantastic trip and I will recommend Mamaland Safaris to everyone!!

Great and unforgettable time in Uganda with Mamalandsafaris
If you want to feel a little touch of Africa- so you should book with Mamalandsafaris Uganda, despite the fact that you always will be a tourist and be treatet as a tourist. Moses Wabwire, our guide, read every wish from our eyes and was always polite, helpful and respectful. In addition he acted very professionally and his profound knowledge about Uganda, its nature and people was a treasure for us tourists. We loved all places and accomodation like Kidepo NP, Murchison Falls, Budongo Eco Lodge, Pumba Lodge, Apoka Hostel Bandas (very lovely place with animals coming very close like elefants, zebras, warthogs etc.- great great experience!!!Bwindy NP was one of the highlights when we met with mountain gorillas deep in the rain forest. Great accomodation there as well- Gorilla Mist Camp...Too nice to be real...Great views.. Unforgettable. Despite all of that beauty we should never forget how people live there, what their life is like and do something...help somehow...By the way.. we always felt safe and welcome...Friendly service everywhere.....While writing this I could start packing again.....

Perfect 2-week private safari tour through Uganda!
We (couple, 31 and 35 years old) did a 2-week safari through Uganda with Mamaland Safaris. We started from Entebbe and spent the first day at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, drove all the way up to the northern Kidepo Valley National Park and went on to Murchison Falls National Park, did the Chimp Habituation in Kibale Forrest, visited Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Ishasha Plains and finally went on the Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi Forrest before going back to Entebbe.
The tour was perfectly organized and I would do it again the same way. Approximately three months prior our vacation, we contacted Anna from Mamaland Safaris who responded immediately and set up a great schedule containing all the things we wanted to see and do. She was very flexible in changing accommodations and routings at our request. She also sent us copies of the (highly expensive) Gorilla permits in advance. We always had a very good feeling concerning this tour operator.
Upon arrival, we spent one night in a guesthouse in Entebbe and were welcomed by our wonderful and passionate tour guide Moses the next morning. He took an amazingly great care of us during the whole tour and shared his incredible knowledge about the country and its wildlife. Due to our routing, we had some very long drives, but always felt really save in our car (4X4 with pop-up roof) and enjoyed even the bumpy and dusty roads. All lodges and guesthouses were booked and we did not experience any problems there. Also, all activities (game drives, spotlight night drives, boat safaris, chimp habituation and gorilla habituation) went per our itinerary. During our tour, we learned a lot about the country's culture and people and enjoyed the excellent hospitality everywhere. We were also really impressed by the variety of Uganda's landscapes and wildlife and had numerous unforgettable and very close encounters with the animals. It was really one highlight chasing the other!
Mamaland Safaris is an excellent tour operator. I strongly recommend them and would definitely go on a tour with them again!
