Absolutely wonderful, provided everything promised and more!
Mohammed was a great guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable about the animals, parks and the region. Yohanni was a great chef. Tanzanian and western foods were delicious. Mohammed and Yohanni were hosts. The safari exceeded my expectations!

Great safari trip
We were really lucky with spotting the animals. It was soo incredible to see lion and cheetah cubs! The food our chef Gideon made was really good and that he took care about my friend and me as vegetarians was so nice. Our driver was Lobulu and he brought us save through the whole trip. We booked the safari with Jerome who answerd all our questions quickly. Overall we had an amazing safari with nice people in our group and lots of animals that we spotted.

Safari trip of a lifetime
We want to extend our biggest thank you to jacob and buga who made our safari memorable. The entire team at Meru Slopes were so helpful and so accommodating, if you’re still hesitating between different tours, we wholeheartedly reccomend them with no hestitation. We had dozens of quotes from different companies and Meru Slopes were the most accommodating in term of budget and itinerary.
We took a 4 days-3 nights package with them in mid-May. We wanted to see Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Our itinerary was very well planned, nothing to stress about on our side. They came to pick us up from the airport the day before and offered accomodation for the night. We paid a 15% deposit before to confirm and we finalized everything when we got to the hotel. They helped us get free card sims (which was such a nice thing to do) and helped with the whole set up as well.
While other tours offered boxed lunches and sometimes dinners, Meru Slopes went above and beyond and provided us with hot (and amazing!) meals throughout the day. Bouga (our cook) is unmatched and his food was so tasty, we often wanted seconds. If you book with them, definitely ask for Bouga as a cook.
Our driver and guide Jacob was amazing as well. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, he is very knowledgeable in all the animals in the park and he will answer any questions we have. There was a water bottle in our seats every morning and electricity in the car (even though sometimes it didn’t work as well). They also offered wifi but that wasn’t working as much either so don’t expect a strong connection.
We slept two nights in lodges and one in tents when we were supposed to do one in a lodge and two in a tent, so that was very nice surprise.
As a disclaimer, whether you book with this company or another, please be mindful of the Masai village tour. Not in a way to discredit the villages and the people, but more as a critique of the practice (that is widely done by many other companies). Before booking our tour, we made sure to ask that we do not do it, as we believe that people should not have to sell out their cultural practices in order to make a living. We wanted to support in other ways, but it was surprisingly part of our program even if we didn’t ask for it. We love learning about different cultures but in a way that is ethical and that truly supports the lifestyle of those people without them having to monetize on it. So unless you insist on doing it, we would recommend against it, and instead, look for programs that directly help the villages and their people (whether that’s with money, buying their creations as souvenirs, or supporting the preservation of their traditions and culture in Tanzania). One of the things we wish we did was get more knowledge of the Masaai tribe and other tribes in Tanzania prior to our trip, to make sure we knew how to best support them while we were there. So we definitely recommend getting informed beforehand.
Overall, if you were like us and were hesitating between the million tour companies and wasn’t sure about this one, book this one! no regrets!

The perfect 4 day cultural and safari experience
Nick room is on a hike and coffee tour to Materuni waterfalls where we enjoys the natural beauties of the Materuni has to offer and then we had 3 days of safari game drive with Jacob who was very knowledgeable and did his absolute best to check off all the wildlife we wanted to see which we were extremely lucky to check every animal we wanted to see off our list in 3 days. Our private cook Salim who fed us very well breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We also had a very clean and well maintained vehicle for our game drives with free wifi, power outlets to recharge our camera batteries and phones and an electric cooler!
I will definitely be recommending Meru Slopes to any friends of family that want recommendations and if I come back with my children when they grow up enough to appreciate the experience.
You will not regret picking Meru Slopes.

Absolutely perfect trip!
Gift is a perfect tour planner. He went through the itinerary with me few months before the trip. Making sure everything is good.
He able to deliver what he promised to us. Impeccable service!
Salehe is a very experience safari guide. We managed to see a lot of wildlife thanks to him. He will try his very best to make sure we are able to see different wildlife in the trip. Wonderful trip and memory we had in Tanzania.

Safari 3 days
My girlfriend and I did a 3-day safari in April, through Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Meru Slopes. We decided on this company after writing to more than 20, because it gave us more confidence due to the good reviews it had and it gave us one of the best prices, taking into account that it included more things than others that were a little cheaper (but almost without reviews) .
The safari was spectacular, we managed to see 4 of the Big 5 and the guide-driver Florian made an effort to ensure that we were comfortable and saw the greatest number of animals. The cook (Dula) made us some very good and copious meals (we couldn't finish any of them), and with some typical Tanzanian dishes. Both friendly and very pleasant.
It was a great success to have chosen MERU SLOPES.
We are only left wanting to have done one more day in Serengeti, which I think is worth it.

Amazing Safari guide, Great Safari company!
I did 6 days safari with Melu Slopes. From pickup until end of tour, everything was very well organized. We are very lucky to see big fives at one tour. Of course plenty of animals and big migration.
Florian is very professional guide with good driving skill. He told lots information of wildlife and Maasai culture. We learned a lot during this trip. He always tried his best to discover wildlife and show us with patient. So happy to have a guide as him
Also, the price is affordable, especially I am a solo backpacker. I really have had good time and enjoy the safari. High recommend!

Amazing 6-day Safari with Meru Slopes - cannot recommend highly enough
My partner and I did a 6-day safari with Meru Slopes and it was an absolute delight. We were recommended the company by a friend who also had a fantastic 10-day experience with another guide. Our guide, Douglas, brought with him a wealth of experience, great humor and stories, answers to all questions and immense care for our safety, wellbeing and wishes throughout the trip. Meru Slopes as a company is very responsive and takes care of you from the first second. We were picked up from Kilimanjaro airport and had a night in their very cozy inn in central Arusha before the Safari started. The Safari itenary was perfect, and Meru Slopes’ guides know the parks extremely well, such that Douglas was able to get us to see all Big Five and more in the three parks we visited - Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro - even though we came during the low season (at the end of the rainy season in April). Meru Slopes is also highly flexible and adapts to the seasonal needs - we were scheduled for camping but ended up staying in very nice and centrally located lodges in camps for a few of the nights because of the rains. Throughout the safari, there is a cook who travels with you and cooks excellent food three times per day. Our cook, Rashidi, was an absolute star and provided varied and filling meals under any conditions. Meru Slopes’ vehicles have great amenities, power plugs in the front and back, a fridge, and even free WiFi in the car. The ability to join up with other people to form safari groups is another great component of what Meru Slopes offers - it allowed us to meet wonderful people for the trip and also makes the price extremely fair. I would go with Meru Slopes again anytime and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Great service, great price
I just had a safari with Meru Slopes in Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro crater and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Florian, our guide, was very knowledgeable and could spot animals from miles away. Yoanna, our chef, spoiled us breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. And all this great service at a very reasonable price! Can sincerely recommend Meru Slopes

amazing adventure - 7 Day Safari Tour
We did the 7 Day-Safari Tour as a group of 6 persons.
Our guide Samwel was always very concerned about the well-being of all.
It was an incredibly beautiful adventure with many impressions and breathtaking experiences.
We spent 3 of 6 nights in tents. The tents and the campsite were really ok. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fine.
If you want something more luxurious, you can book accordingly.
We would highly recommand this tour.
