Amazing experience
The safari with Meru Slopes was a great experience. Animals and landscape are stunning!
The five-day tour across Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro left little to be desired. The guide Andrew drove the jeep very safely and calmly through the roads of the Serengeti and was a pleasant guide. He spotted the animals immediately at long distances and told us interesting details about them, but also gave us the necessary peace and quiet to marvel at the natural wonders.
The cook, Moshi, was always in a good mood and prepared delicious food. I missed more traditional Tanzanian food, but "tourist" food is probably part of the activity and important for other tourists.
The tents were in very good condition, the sleeping bag warm and the mattress comfortable. The sanitary facilities were also good and very clean! Electricity in the car did not work, but there were always free sockets in the camp. The transportation back to Arusha worked perfectly and the driver was already waiting for us.
What was missing: Toilet paper, or rather I hadn't thought to bring any with me.

professional, well organized and good food
We booked a tour with Meru Slopes for a 6 day private safari and were more than happy with the time spent. The tour was very well organized from the beginning, our guide Douglas was very helpful and showed us the best places in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara lake so that we saw much more animals than we expected. He told us a lot about the country and animal behaviour. The meals were cooked by our chef Gidion, which were always delicious and diverse. Booking with Meru Slopes will give you an unforgettable experience and the company takes very good care of their clients and offers fair prices.

Amazing Safari Tour!
This was a last minute trip for me but it was not difficult at all. They responded in a very timely manner and was able to personalize my schedule and was very accommodating. From the moment that I arrived in JRO Airport, everything was all set up and flawless. I did not have to worry about anything. My tour guide Andrew and chef Moshi were amazing! They were very friendly, informative, fun and very helpful. They made my experience even better and others in the same tour would also agree. Not only were they very well experienced but also prioritized safety as well. Moshi is a great cook and every meal was very delicious that I was looking forward to every meal. Andrew is a very experience guide and he has so much knowledge of the animals and their behaviours that he was always able to get us the best views. They are very passionate with what they do. And on my last day of my stay in Tanzania, tour rep even came to my accommodation to check up on me to make sure everything was great. It was an unbelievable experience and if paired with Andrew and Moshi, I can guarantee it will be the best experience.
I would definitely recommend booking with this tour group!
Thank you guys for amazing trip that I will never forget!
Asante Sana!

Very professional, serious and with very friendly staff
We have done the safari with this company on the recommendation of some friends and the truth is that it has been incredible.
They are experienced and very professional people. They prepared a fantastic tour for us and the hotels were very good.
There are many companies that offer safaris but the same cannot be said for all of them.
Special comment for our guide, Juma, recognized in 2023 as the best safari guide in Africa. The truth is that he was very kind, always looking out for us and with his experience he made our adventure unforgettable. Thank you very much Juma, Geofrey and your entire team!!!

The perfect tour operator. World class customer support.
There are 100's of operators to choose from. How do you choose? Our choice was fairly easy as it started before we left the states. Almachius Audax was the coordinator. We really chose due to his responsiveness and flexibility. This lasted from before we booked, after we booked and upon our return. Nice job!
Once we started, our guide, Douglass, was brilliant. We were very naive, and he provided a great overall education. As a guide, he was able to maneuver to great locations and vantage points. You could not ask for a better guide. The days were very full. We got up at 5:50 am and wrapped up with dinner around 7 pm. Exhausting and rewarding.
We are fairly picky eaters. Our cook, Sarehe, tailored the meals and every meal was fantastic. This was icing on the cake.
We went to multiple parks. All were exciting and all were different. It was amazing how plentiful and how healthy all the animals were.
You cannot go wrong if you go with Meru Slopes.

Best week of our lives
Last July we, 2 persons, did a private 7 day / 6 night safari with Meru Slopes. This was hands down the best week of our live. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti (with great migration), Ngorongoro and Lake Mayara.
We booked directly with Meru Slopes and all contact with the owner Geoffrey was smooth. I've done over 10 inquiries with different companies for the same safari and Meru Slopes gave us the best price. Also a positive: you only pay a deposit up front, the rest you can pay in their office when you've met the driver and are already picked-up. So no need paying thousands of dollars up front before even meeting anybody.
A guide/driver can make or break your safari. Our guide Robert definately made our safari. I highly recommend him! He goes above and beyond to give you the best experience. He's also a very kind person and an excellent guide. He made sure we saw the big 5 and always tried his best to give us a good spot to see the animals. We would love to go back to the Serengeti with him in the future. Thank you Robert giving us such an amazing experience, we will never forget all the effort you put into making it the best week of our lives.
All the parks we visited are amazing and worth your time. But the Serengeti is a special place. Try to spend us much time possible here. And when the great migration is happening, don't skip it!
We booked with mid-level lodging but all the accomodations were way above what we expected. Special thanks to Ang'ata tented camps, at which we stayed three nights in the Serengeti. They were awesome!
I think Meru slopes gives a great value for money. And another thing to keep in mind, they are a fully Tanzanian company! This way you support the local people, and not some big British or Indian company.

Unforgettable safari experience with Meru Slopes
We booked a 6 days safari trip going to tarangire national park, serengeti and ngorogoro crater. Meru slopes picked us up at arusha bus station after a long drive and brought us to the hotel. The next morning we met our tourguide Douglas, he really made our trip more special. We felt safe in his car, could ask him anything about nature and every day he served us a freshly cooked lunch with a glass of wine with an amazing view! All of the lodges we stayed during our trip were amazing as well, clean rooms, nice beds and good food. We were lucky to spot the big 5 on our last day which made our trip complete! Defenitaly would recommend doing your safari trip with Meru Slopes!

Great experience with a great team
I am very happy with my Safari experience with Meru Slopes. They are a locally owned company that provides a great safari service. I can just say thank you to the entire team: Salehe, Buga Dance, and all the great guys I interacted with: Nico, Herman, Nuru, and of course Geoffrey and Emanuel. The tour was very loyal to the description. We visited Tarangeri, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We camped at Serengeti hearing the lions roar at night. And all in all the experience was totally worthwhile and I can highly recommend it. The team goes beyond expectations regarding service and I think it couldn’t be better. They even helped me to coordinate another tour. On the Safari, there was plenty of water, some sodas for the first few days, and wine for the nights. The food prepared by Buga was delicious and very varied. He even considers if you have any allergies and adapts the dishes to that. I have a very sensitive stomach and I did not have any issues with the food. It was nice to have always warm food, especially after the game drives (I saw other companies providing just lunch boxes). I appreciate Salehe that he made the effort to see all the animals we were interested in, and we got to see them all big 5. I loved the hotels before and after finishing the Safari and the food provided there was also quite tasty. Also, it was great that they provided wifi while in the car.
I chose Meru Slopes after comparing different companies on Trip Advisor. My criteria were price (going on a budget), having an AMREF doctor, that they provide the equipment for sleeping in the camping area, and that they include visiting the Maasai village for a more local immersion. Unfortunately, on my trip, there was no visit to Maasai and the team tried to compensate me with a visit to local markets in Arusha. Maybe some points for improvement is that it could be a bit more informative (give more details about the places, animals etc). Also, keep in mind that they sometimes mix people depending on the number of Safari days and this may cause mild logistic delays and that the mattress/sleeping bags are also mixed from camp to camp. Take toiletries with you (a camp did not have toilet paper/soap) and warm clothes - especially for Ngorongoro night.
Finally, I advice you not to forget to tip the driver/cook, etc. They may rely on it as I understand that they receive a very low part of what you pay.
Thanks to all the team.
