Great company, great value, great trip...
Meru Slopes were fantastic from start to finish. I booked the 5 day budget safari with them and had my expectations exceeded at every step. Communications with Geofrey before arrival were easy and comprehensive, airport pickup and accommodation before and after the safari were exactly as promised and the trip itself was superb. Our driver and guide, Jacob, was very professional, entertaining and extremely eagle eyed, identifying wildlife before we could even pick them up with binoculars. I don't think he missed anything during our game drives and he made sure we got every last minute possible out of them whether starting at dawn or ending at sunset. Our "stomach engineer" Moshi was also excellent, making sure we always had plenty of quality food (including vegetarian options if preferred). Based on my experience, I strongly recommend Meru Slopes and I hope to be back with them for future trips.

An unforgettable experience with Meru Slopes. Would highly recommend to everyone!
We are a family with a 10yo girl. After careful comparison, we decided to book a 4 days/3 nights safari tour with Meru Slopes including Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks.
The company arranged hotels for us before and after the safari in Arusha which was really helpful. We got picked up from Kilimanjaro airport when we arrived and sent to the hotel directly. The driver even agreed to take us for a tour in Arusha because we wanted to buy some souvenirs. We didn’t need to worry about transportation etc at all in Arusha.
Our Safari guide/driver Douglas was very experienced after working as a safari guide for 15 years. He could answer all our questions about animals and got the amazing ability in spotting and recognising animals. Once in Serengeti, he spotted a cheetah from an unbelievably far distance. He stopped the car for us to take photos whenever we asked him, without any complaints. He knew the best place to stop to have a good angle for pictures. We had lunch in the picnic areas in the parks every day and the food prepared was always delicious. He asked us at the start of the tour what we would like to see the most and then would particular look for those animals for us. In the last day of our tour, the car broke down but Douglas and the company immediately arranged a private car to send us back to Arusha and then next day to the airport.
Thanks a million to everyone in Meru Slopes for giving us an unforgettable experience.

Asante for this great safari experience!
Booking our 8-day safari tour with Meru Slopes was the best decision! Why? For the following reasons: excellently organised; best safari guide/driver (Benson) who ensured we saw the most animals on our tour; best chef (Dula) who ensured we would become "strong as lions" with traditional food; flexibility within the trip - we decided to shorten the safari and go hiking for a day (with William, who is also a super guide!) which was immediately re-organised!
Conclusion, I can only recommend Meru Slopes, not only for the above, but also for the people!
Asante for the great experience!

Excellent Safari w/ good comfort and very well-educated tour guide
The communication with Geoffrey via WhatsApp was always very friendly, direct and immediately. He also arranged an extra transfer from another hotel and and an special transfer.
Our tour guide Daniel was very familiar with all animals and plants visible in all 4 national Parks we visited. He was spotting animals not only by direct observation but also taking into account tracks, prey and typical sorrounding. He had a very good feeling where to find the rarest animals and was always providing interesting extra information - thanks to his university education also with a scientific-biological level.
Our chef for the Safari, Moshi was also outstanding regarding quality and also quantity of the food he served. Especially his soups were really great and are to recommend. Taking into account we were doing a camping Safari, his fulfilling of extra requests and the permanent provision of vegetarian options was excellent.
Additionally all staff was very friendly and humorous.

Lovely and great time with Samuel
I joined a 4-days/3-nights camping safari to Serengeti/Ngorongoro/Tarangire. I was already in Arusha, so I didn't book online but through an intermediary. I paid in the office of Inn safari Hotel, they work together with some safari companies.
I can highly recommend this tour, espacially with our guide and chef.
Samuel, the guide, was very much engaged to make us happy. He was a bit calmer than other countryman which I really enjoyed! I felt very safe in his car. He has a good eye and acknowledge for the nature and a big love for his job.
Also we were so lucky with Gadi our chef. In these 4 days I ate more different things than in the rest of the two months in Tanzania :D and it was always very tasty - chakula kizuri!
Asante sana Gadi and Samuel for the time with you!

Magical
We went on our Honeymoon with Meru Slopes & Tours for a 8 day Safari. 5 stars is not enough, I would give you 100 stars if I could! We did our Safari with Jacob, who had been not just our guide but a real friend. The service given by Meru from the very first contact has been more than 5 stars. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, local Masai tribe, local village tour and the Materuni Waterfalls and coffee plantation. Every day has been like a dream and we had the best experience we could dream off. Jacob does everything to spot the animals and has eyes like a robot. All accommodations were beautiful and of a high standard. Great and delicious lunches and amazing dinners. I would like to once again thank Meru Slopes and Geoffrey for the great experience and a special BIG BIG thank you to my friend Jacob (Jambo, Jambo bwana). All the best ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The best safari experience I could have asked for
A truly wonderful experience having a safari with these guys. To start with, our guide/driver Florian was the best that someone could ask for. Very experienced, friendly and willing to give us the best safari experience that someone could get. He knew what time he should be where avoiding safari jeep queues and seeing the most action. He was really obsessed that we get to see the Big-5 (which he finally accomplished). Our cook, Gadi, took really good care of us. We had the chance to experience the true local cuisine and his food was very tasty. Geofrey, the tour operator, was very friendly and willing to answer our questions before we book the safari. Don’t feel worried if he doesn’t reply instantly after you send the booking deposit. This safari agency is 100% legit and everything will go as planned. We picked the 5-days safari but we traded the Lake Manyara Day with the Materuni Waterfall day trip as 4 days around Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti felt enough. Due to budget limitations we chose the camping safari which I highly recommend as you get to sleep really close to the animals and it’s probably the best part of the trip. Highly recommended to choose this tour operator!

Tanzania's wonderful nature, wonderful animals, wonderful people
I thought I was just there to enjoy the animals and the great outdoors.
But in fact, I had a very memorable time thanks to the guide, Waziri, the chef, Buga, and all the participants, all of whom were wonderful people.
Waziri was a professional. He carried us on a steady drive over difficult roads, looked for animals in the distance, and taught us so much. Chef Buga cooked us delicious meals every day. Soups and pizzas cooked over a charcoal fire were a luxury. I never thought I would be able to enjoy such delicious meals in the great outdoors.
I enjoyed it so much that I would like to join a safari tour again someday, but I will never forget these members. Thank you so much for beautiful Tanzania and Tanzanian people.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end
We are so happy we chose Meru Slopes for our Safari! First off, Geofrey has always been extremely reliable, accommodating, helpful and so quick to answer our messages. Then our guide, Douglas was so much fun, great spirit, extremely knowledgeable and happy to share his knowledge, was a great and safe driver, very respectful of nature, we could only do a 4 day trip but were so lucky to be able to see the big 5! Also our chef, Bagu was exceptional, made us truly delicious meals, put a lot of care into them and was very sweet and also great fun!
I had read great reviews on this site which is why I chose this agency and even with all the reviews, the tour honestly exceeded my expectations. I strongly recommend Meru Slopes, you will be in the best of hands!

Unforgettable experience thanks to Meru Slopes
We are a couple and booked a 6-day private camping safari with two nights Serengeti, 1 night Ngorongoro, 1 night Tarangire and 1 night Lake Manyara. We had such adventurous, interesting and wonderful 6 days. Of course, a big part play the national parks with their beautiful landscape and all the wild animals living in them. However, what made our journey exceptional and why I am also so glad that we chose Meru Slopes as a tour operater were our guide Robert and chef Buga. They both made it their mission that we have a great time.
We loved that Robert chose rather lonely paths and calmly spotted animals there instead of chasing other jeeps (of which there can be a lot in Central Serengeti). Also, we really realized how much fun he had on the safari and that he really is a friend of the animals - which is always nice to see that the guide enjoys the wildlife too. Robert called the Serengeti his „second home“, and we really realized that. He knew every street and navigated perfectly (which is not obvious!), furthermore he drove very well making us feel always very safe even though we saw a lot of accidents and breakdowns during our journey. When there was a small problem with the car, he quickly repaired it by himself. Also, when we had questions about specific animals or whatever - he gave answers like Google would. When he was overwhelmed by a question of ours, he was not too proud to take out his „African wildlife“ book and search for the specific information - not just saying something vague like other guides would. And - as it can be supposed - his English was superb, in some discussions even better than ours. As a surplus, he was super funny!
Buga, our great chef, always ensured that we have a delicious hot meal for dinner as well as lunch (a lot of other companies do not offer this). Compared to other adventures like this where you have to be afraid of diarrhea, with Buga, you can even eat the raw stuff like salads or whatever - which was great. He even spoke English and was always in a good mood, which lifted us up even early in the morning.
In conclusion, we had an amazing time on this safari and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you !
