You start to feel the warmth from time you contact Geoffrey over email/whatsapp in your planning/booking phase. Sometimes so much that it starts to feel too good to be real. But as soon as you are greeted by friendly drivers at airport, you are bound to love Tanzania.
I took a 6-day budget camping safari (Serengeti, Ngorongore, Manyara, Tarangire) and a one day Arusha national park trips and loved every moment, especially in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It would not have been possible without our driver/guide Issac. He is polite, knowledgeable, extremely skilled and has some stunning knack of spotting animals one finds hard to see using a HD binocular. I recommend him very highly! The experience gets two notches higher if he is your guide. He knows exactly what to expect, when to go, where to look. The way he swung by the cheetah off the road, breathtakingly good!
Although I was on a camping safari, Geoffrey was very accommodating to put me on reasonable groups in a couple of different legs and ensured that minimum time is lost in transition. All the staffs were great. The services – food, sleeping tents, hotel everything is very reasonable. The Simba campsite at Ngorongoro was gorgeous.
A word of caution – If you are on a weight watch, do not go with Action (the chef)! He is a wonderful cook and will ensure that you gain 1 kg/day of your trip. He can make an array of food items to cater your needs. His onion soup, beans and green vegetables are a must have along with some glorious sweet pineapples from Tanzania.
I remember Emanuel meeting me the very first morning and saying, ‘all we want is that you leave with a big smile on your face at the end of the trip’ and boy did I!
I highly recommend Meru Slopes for a trip to Tanzania – specially the northern circuit.

Asante Sana!

5 day safari
5/5

My friends and I went on a 5 day safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. Geofrey was very helpful in accommodating our plans, even when one of our friends fell ill and couldn’t come with us. Our guide and cook were excellent and the quality of the safari exceeded our expectations.

Geofrey and his men are doing everything they can to make your safari a success

I had a great 5 day safari in Tarangire Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Our driver was experienced for 11 years. He had a degree in biology and knew a lot about the animals. Because of him we found the Leppard who is very difficult to spot. He has a hawks eye and sees everything. He knows where the animal can be and takes you there. We saw al the big 5. The Rino we only saw in a far distance. Their numbers are few. Our cook, the chief, was a very good one. He provided us with all we needed. The car had a rooftop that opened. Six seats, you always sit near the big window. Because of the rain our host booked us a room to sleep in for 2 nights in stead of the tent we were supposed to be in. We we very glad to have had this. The tents appear to be not always resisting the rain. We noticed that a little bit in the last night, when we stayed in a small tent at Simba campsite in Ngorongoro. The waterbuffalo and zebra often come to your tent at night and in the morning. And our first night was in a tent with a normal rooftop above it with private bathroom outside at Sunbright campsite. I think we got a special treatment, I don't think it's standard you get a room instead of a tent when it's raining. I can highly recommend Meru Slopes to everybody and will happily come back to see for instance the Lake Manyara!

Nothing But amazing
5/5

- 3 friends and I went for the 3 days safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had 1 night at a hotel in Arusha before the safari, 2 nights in lodges, 1 night in a tent camping site and finally a night in the hotel after the safari. All of it very comfortable and neat.
We had a very experienced driver who took us trough the parks in the best possible way. We knew the good spots to see animals and he was always in contact with other drivers to find the animals we we were looking for. We saw the most amazing things thanks to him and maybe a little luck. Those goes hand in hand.
- On our tour we had a cook with us who made amazing food for us 2 times a day plus a lunchbox. He was a good guy always in a good mood and made us very happy with all this amazing food.

We are nothing but happy and thankful for a good trip and a very easy planned tour thanks to the staff of Meru Slopes!

5 days / 4 nights Lake Manyara, Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti

We had an impressive journey in a group of 6 people. The travel planning was uncomplicated and reliable, a prepayment of 15% of the travel price really fair. Our driver Isaac was very reliable and made sure that we could observe all the important animals extensively. Our chef has conjured even on the campgrounds still a 3-course menu with plenty of choice. Tents, mattresses, sleeping bags and plenty of drinks were catered for. We enjoyed the trip with very nice international passengers and would always go back to Meru Slopes.

Trip of a lifetime...
5/5

The overall experience with Meru Slopes has been very good. From the initial communication with the company's owner, Geofrey, to the day to day schedule of the safari. Our driver and guide, Spear, was a wonderful person. He was able to find the "Big Five" and was very pleasant to be around. The cook, Eric, was simply amazing. The daily food was great, and the variety was surprising for the remote conditions we were in. Overall, this trip ranks as one of my top trips and it was thanks to the smooth and quality service of Meru Slopes. Thank you!

We had 4 days safari tour with Meru Slopes. Everything was excellent. Geofrey answered all my questions before tour. We were met in Arusha airport, than we spent 1 night in Arusha Inn hotel. After safari we were taken back to Kilimanjaro airport. All this services were included into trip. When we arrived to Arusha, Geofrey gave us his assistant and helped usto buy Malaria prevention tablets. Camping was good. We had more than enough food and water. Our Driver guide did his best for us to meet lots of animals.

Outof this world
5/5

The tour was great. The driver and the cook were really good at what they do. The driver got us some exciting views on the animals, and the cook fed us afterwards to complete the amazing experience. We saw countless lions, cheetahs, zebras, guiraffs and so on. After 4 days, I couldn't believe that I just witnessed all that, many times being only inches away.

The hotel where you stay at before and after the safari could be fixed up a bit, but you don't care, since you still are under the impression of what you saw. They also picked us up and drove us to the airport.
