Above expectations Safari
The service provided was very good from the beginning when I reached the company. They were always responsive and arranged everything I needed for the Safari. The guide was very good and they provided vegetarian food during the tour. I would definitely recommend, especially considering the good value for what they delivered.

With Meru Slopes dreams come true
We booked a budget six-day safari with the Meru Slopes company, which included Tarangire NP, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara.
The whole tour was perfectly organized, and we highly recommend the Meru Slopes team to all of you who are interested in experiencing fantastic adventures! All the arrangements for the trip were made, and what Geofrey had promised was fulfilled.
Our guide was Benson, an amazing and knowledgeable guy, who is also an excellent driver. He told us a lot about Tanzania's flora and fauna, and shared with us some very interesting information what life looks like in his country. The two nights spent in the heart of Serengeti, when 4 giraffes visited our campsite, were simply unforgettable.
As for the food, it was unbelievably delicious, and all the meals that Richard (our chef) prepared made us crave for more:).
To sum up, the Meru Slopes made our dreams come true, so we would like to warmly thank the whole team (and our co-travellers) for all they have done for us!!! Asante sana, Benson, Richard, Emanuel, and Geofrey!

Magical Moments - Amazing Safari - Excellent Experience - incredible Service from Start to Finish
First of all we would like to say THANK YOU to all of the Guys from Meru Slopes - especially to
Geoffrey, Emanuel, Benson and Richard!
It was definitely more than we ever expected!
Review:
We have booked the Kilimanjaro Trek to Mandara Hut and a 6 Day Camping Safari (Trangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro, Lake Manyara).
It was perfectly organized from the day of arrival to the day of departure.
Therefore it should be made particular mention to the Service.
The Crew from Mero Sloopes was very good and professional, from the pickup/drop off (Emanuel) and the preparations for the safari (Geoffrey) as well our Guide (Benson) and Chef (Richard).
Unforunaltey regarding the bad weather we had no view to the peak of the Kilimanjaro - therefore the tour was not worth it for us.
But our Safari was amazing! We were a group of five people and for this time it felt like we were a little family. Our Guide Benson had over 10 years of experience, and he knew everthing regarding the Flora and Fauna. We saw countless animals, including the big 5.
Our Chef Richard was also excellent! For the meals he prepared for us in only one word needed - DELICIOUS.
Conclusion:
Lake Manyara was our last Day and to be honest it wasn’t so good. We also visited a Massai Village. But there we felt uncomfortable.
We would recommend the other natitional parks especially Serengeti and Ngorogoro.

More than I ever expected
Such a nice trip! It was above my expectations. We booked the tour via e-mail. There was a little communication problems sometimes because of the english level of the guy who emailed us, but it all worked out in the end.
Tents and food was really good and the safari tour was amazing. We went to Serengeti, The Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Manyara National Park. Manyara was on our last Day (out of 5), and to be honest it wasn’t so good. But the other 4 days in the other national parks was amazing! We saw everything so close, and we even managed to see The Big 5! In Serengeti we saw two lions hunting down a wilderbeast in the middle of the day! So cool!

Amazing Safari, Great Tour Guide, Delicious food, Professional service
The service we got from the guys from Mero Sloopes was very good and professional, from the pickup/drop offs and the preparations for the safari (payment and stuff). The only bad part about that was the Hotel we stayed before and after the trip, it was very mediocre (especially the restaurant).
Emanuel, our Safari Tour guide, was amazing. He had 14 years of experience, and knew exactly where we should be at what time and where the hiding places of the animals were. We had a great opportunity to see a leopard feasting on a wildebeast in the tree. We saw countless other animals, including the big 5 (although the Rino's we saw only at a distance). Only negative point I can think of is that he did not always explain his knowledge about many animals until we asked for it, I would've liked him to show more initiative in explaining all that he knew (which was a lot!).
Prosper, our chef, was also very good! He prepared meals for us on campings that blew most other meals we had during our entire holiday out of the water. I'd say one of the best aspects of the trip was the great food!

It was a awesome experience.
It was great to be on Safari with Meru Slopes. We knew it was a budget Safari but they gave us much more than what we expected. The driver/ guide Bernhard was very knowledgeable and so kind. He drove us to all the best places on our 5 day safari. We saw all the wild animals. We couldn’t imagine any better. Of course we slept in a tent but it was not a problem for us as we were prepared for that. Isak, the cook, made us a great meal every day. I can only recommend Meru Slopes and would go with them again.

We had a great time in Arusha
We joined 4days safari tour, visit Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro, and Serengety. We enjoyed safari tour without trouble. Meru slopes respond flexibly. After the safari tour, we'd like to visit Moshi to see Mt.Kirimanjaro. But we had enough time. Then, Meru slopes arranged a tour to visit kikretowa hot springs. In the end, it was a day well spent. We can see Mt.kirimanjaro and had a kirimanjaro coffee on the way to the hot springs.

More than we expected. Incredible four days, three nights.
This review is coming almost a year late (whoops!). A friend currently in Tanzania asked me for a safari company recommendation because she knew we had a great experience and that reminded me that I never wrote my review - so here I am!
Our group was from: Mexico, Spain, USA, ages 25-30
PROS:
- I loved Geoffrey's communication. He was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp and accommodating to our ever changing plans. We had a group of 7 of us, coming from multiple countries - a lot of our schedules changed constantly and Geoffrey was always helpful and reassured us his team would make it work.
- Hotel the night before and after the safari was basic, but good. They had laundry services which was great as most of us were coming off some traveling. Hotel breakfast was fruit, coffee/tea, bread, eggs if I remember correctly.
- FOOD while on safari. Our cook was a magician! Multiple, delicious courses, always had coffee/tea. Very impressed. Best part: one in our group had a birthday while on safari - we told Geoffrey before hand. So they arranged two complimentary bottles of wine (tbh the wine wasn't very good, but we were still impressed), and our cook made a delicious cake with our friend's name on it. Our guide told us of a "perfect spot" to surprise her, and brought us to an area where we could get out of the car, watch the hippos, and sit on the grass to drink the wine and eat cake. We would have been happy with the extra wine, but the fact our cook made a cake from scratch in the middle of Ngorongoro Crater was impressive. An extra mile on their part. A definite highlight for all us.
- Logistics: everything went very smooth. Picked up straight from airport. Geoffrey had our bus tickets booked for us and waiting when we arrived back after safari - very helpful for us. They made multiple trips for us as some flew out and some bussed out.
- We got into a small car accident at the end of the safari (keep reading on why this is a pro...) -- was not our guides fault - another vehicle came fast around the curve on the wrong side of the road. Our guide's first worry was us and offered to get us a new ride back to the hotel from another safari company while he dealt with the accident. Luckily, we were not in a rush, and didn't want to leave our guide with the mess so we stayed and waited until vehicle was ready to drive again. This added many hours onto our trip and we arrived back late. When we got back, Geoffrey gave us complimentary dinner from his hotel's restaurant. This might seem small, but our guide's professionalism during accident and the complimentary dinner were just small extra acts that showed his team knows customer service.
Price: tbh, I forget the exact price we paid. But I did do a lot of research prior and we were happy with our total. For most of us, this trip was to finish off two years living/working in East Africa. We were all on a non-profit sized budget.
CONS:
- Our cook rode with us (obvious and expected...), but without actually having a seat, which we would have liked to know prior to going on the trip. The safari vehicle had 8 seats - our group was 7, plus driver and cook (9), which meant the cook had to sit on a makeshift seat in the middle of the back and created a very squished and uncomfortable backseat. Nothing could have changed this, but we were told having 7 in our group was fine, when really it meant we took the cook's seat. Our cook usually stayed back at campsite to cook, but was in the makeshift seat on long drives to the parks and between campsites.
- We really liked our guide, but he could have been more loud and vocal about what we were seeing. He generally only talked when we asked a question.

We had a really good experience with Meru Slopes. We visit Tarangire, Serengeti and Crater Ngorongor
We had a really good service, and our Guide was great. The first night we stayed in a very beatiful place, and second and third night we slept in campsites, Serengeti and Crater, which were also really good.
Our cooker was also great, and all the meals were perfect every day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maybe picnic lunch was not as good as the rest, but acceptable.
The jeep was also good, and our guide used to clean it every day.
They pick us up at the airport and bring us then back to the airport.
I would clearly recommend to choose this agency, and I am very happy with the trip they organized us.

Everything was perfect.
Everything with Meru Slopes was great; the Kilimanjaro trek and the safari, all the staff working in the company, guides and chefs for both trips... They told us the first day they'd try to make us feel at home while away from home, and they certainly did. Looking forward to go back to Tanzania with them; even if we usually don't travel with tours, it was one of the best trips of our life. Thanks everyone at Meru Slopes.
