Everything was perfect. We saw the Big 5
Everything was perfect. The two drivers from the airport, the 2 drivers for safari and the chef were very good. As for the safari, we saw the Big 5, and that was thanks to Samuel. He searched for the animals, and when we found them, he got us closer so we could have a better view. Whatever we asked for, he found it for us. Every day, he cleaned the car, helped us with our belongings, and explained everything about the animals and the parks. He was always smiling and definitely made the safari experience even more unique and perfect. Almachius was very helpful, we had excellent communication, and he assisted us in booking the safari with Meru Slopes. Asante Sana

They are amazing
We booked a 6 day private custom safari. We were picked up from the airport in Arusha by Fidelis, who told us some basic and important words in Swahili and general information about tribes in Tansania. After finishing all payments at the meru slopes office with Jerome they gave us a ride to our accommodation and managed for us to get some homemade food.
The next day Asantaeli, our guide, picked us up and we started the safari. The national parks we visited were: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. It was just amazing. We saw many animals and Asantaeli answered all our questions about them. We even saw a pack of hyenas hunting successfully. The lodges were all very comfortable and clean with very nice staff. The Hhando Lodges was serene. We will never forget the sunset at the Camp (Heritage Camp) within the Serengeti. The provided food was plenty and delicious.
The last day we spent with Jerome and Nickolson, who showed us the local food markets and shops in Arusha. We also went for a small hike up a hill and looked at the city.
This whole experience was perfect and we are very thankful.

amazing experience
We had a delay and our flight was move to another airport. Thanks to Gift Tembo we always felt secure and everything was perfectly coordinated. We were talking by WhatsApp and he organized our pickup in the new airport.
Regarding the tour, our driver and guide Nuru was amazing, he manage to spot animals so far that for us were just a small pixel. We sae the big 5, ugly 5, serval cat, a lion eating, leopard and cheeta hunting( but failing )... Was an amazing experience. Also he was telling us a lot of information about the animals, the big migration, geography...
Finally our chef Yohane prepared delicious local food everyday. He even made homemade bread! Was so taste that i had to ask for the recipe and he gave to us. Also he was teaching us some Swahili words and he had a great sense of humor.
If you have the opportunity ask for them in your tour!

Dream Safari 2024
We were in 5 days safari with Meru Slopes. They are super helpful and reliable, we didn’t have to worry about anything during our adventure. Our contact was Gift. He helped us with all the arrangements and immediately answered all the questions we have had. We felt very taken care of 😊
We are especially happy about having Nuru as a guide. He spotted every animal on the way that nobody else could. We saw all the big 5 🫶🏻 He has a lot of knowledge and told us a lot of interesting stories ( his English is really great). He is also a really skilled driver and super nice person.
A big shout out to our cook Yohane as well. He stayed with us all that time and prepared us delicious local breakfast, lunches and dinners. We even had everyday at lunchtime fresh baked bread made by him! And he taught us some Swahili :) we absolutely recommend them - there is no better choice. Thank you guys for an amazing experience and a lot of fun and laugh 😊 Asante sana !

An unforgettable experience.
We had an amazing trip with Meru Slopes.
From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, Meru Slopes took care of us. Nixon was the driver from the airport, and made us feel welcome in the country. He took us to a small lake which was very beautiful and gave us a taste of what was in store for the next few days. Later that day, we met Almacheus, who went through the trip planned for us in detail. We got a good brief about the trip, before it all started the following day. The trip was carried out as planned, where we had unforgettable experiences. We encountered some challenges on the way, but these were handled in an exemplary manner by pleasant and professional guides.
Our guide was Robert. A very skilled driver with good experience. He is a pleasant person who contributed to a good atmosphere throughout the stay. Joining the team was chef Gidion, who prepared very good food. The food was always served with a smile. Gidion is also a great person.
Our stay in Tanzania was fantastic and we would recommend Meru Slopes to everyone.

5 star experience with this tour company
I just came back from Tanzania and booked Kilimanjaro climb and 6 days safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.
What can i say? WOW!!

everything exceeded our expectations
We had an amazing experience on our safari trip with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris—it was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. From the planning stage, my point of contact was Gift, who was incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions, often responding within 24 hours. I ended up modifying our plan about 9 times, and each time, Gift was patient, accommodating, and ready to assist. I really appreciated the upfront pricing—Gift proposed a fair price from the start, unlike some agencies that start high and expect negotiation. This honesty and transparency meant a lot to us.
During the trip, everything exceeded our expectations. We got to see the Big Five, which was a highlight, and our driver-guide went above and beyond to meet our needs. He adapted the tour to help us spot specific animals, communicating with other drivers and finding the best viewing spots for photos. He also shared interesting insights about the animals, which made the experience even more memorable.

Phenomenal operator - the guide was brilliant
My wife and I just finished an eight day safari trip for our honeymoon, and it was the most incredible experience ever.
In the months leading up to the trip, Gift Tembo was in constant communication with us via WhatsApp, answering all our questions and helping us prepare for the itinerary he had put together. He was super responsive and very helpful.
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver Victor was waiting for us. He picked us up, drove us to our hotel, and then even offered to give us a free tour of Arusha on our first day since we had nothing scheduled. He took us to some tourist destinations and then even organized a tour of the local market for us. He was fantastic and such a joy to spend the day with.
And finally, our safari guide Florian was spectacular! Every single morning he was ready for us where ever we were staying. He was warm, knowledgeable, funny, and knew exactly where to find every single animal. He has the entirety of the Serengeti National Park memorized. We got to witness things like a lion dragging a zebra carcass right by our truck, and a leopard cub and its mother walking right next to us. It was a breathtaking experience. More importantly, he was so welcoming and kind. We cannot recommend Florian enough. If you are booking with Meru Slopes, you should request Florian as your guide.
This was one of the greatest trips we have ever gone on and we can't thank the team enough.

Experienced tour operator that loved his job
We did the 6day tour in October with our guide Jacob (Jacobo) in tarangire, serengeti and ngorongoro crater.
We are extremely thankful to have had such a great guide that taught us a lot about the nature (animals, trees, tanzania in general). In addition he would not only drive us around but also be on the lookout for animals with his own binoculars to help us find them and also take into consideration what we were hoping to see.
