Quest Horizon is a big family that makes you feel like you are a part of it.
The organization was adequate: we had everything we needed, they were on time, they were professionnal.
The people were great: the guide was friendly, the communication was easy.
The food was incredible.
I went to Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park with Quest Horizon. The people were always great, the service was adequate and the overall experience was amazing. The guide really worked hard to make sure we see everything we wanted.

More than just a safari
During my stay in Africa, I went with six friends on several safaris (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti) with this company and I cannot recommend it enough. The guides know what they are doing, they lead you to the best places to see animals but they also listen to you when you want to go somewhere else. The cooks are incredible and the food is delicious.
At the end of day, the staff at Quest Horizon Safaris were more friends than staff members!

An unforgettable Safari organised by a superb team
Hard to fault anything about this trip. Naiman was super communicative and was very flexible when we had to change our dates. The airport pick up went seamlessly. The accomodation recommended and booked was good and very comfortable. We stayed a night at Mount Meru in Arusha at the start of our trip which had a lovely pool and gardens. That evening Hajid our guide came to meet us to introduce himself and discuss our safari. A nice touch. He arrived punctually the next morning and was a safe driver who was very good company answering lots of questions along the way. We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The Ngorongoro Farm Lodge was sublime. Beautiful big rooms, fantastic food and beautiful well kept grounds and pool with a wonderful welcome. Angata Tented Camp was an unforgettable experience with good food, attentive staff and listening to the animals at night in the surrounding wilds from a super comfortable bed. Impressively we even had a proper flushing ensuite toilet and hot shower!
The real hero of the trip has to be our guide Hajid. He went over and above our expectations. He found everything we wanted to see and more. He took us to great spots to view the great migration and in our comparatively short trip he found us around 25 lions, 3 cheetahs, rhinos, a wildebeest giving birth, lions mating, hippos, hyenas making short work of a carcass, jackals, bat eared foxes and any number of birds. Even before we even entered any of the parks he found great herds of giraffes and it was not just the animals. When I expressed some curiosity about the metal discs at the end of tree trunks being transported by a lorry, he stopped to ask why they did this (prevents termites). He told us so much about local life and also took us to visit a Masai Village which was interesting though a bit expensive - bargain heavily if you buy anything. The beaded item I bought for US$4.00 started out at US$30!
On our last day we were taken to the Coffee Lodge in Arusha for lunch. It was a very good meal and a nice way to end our trip. Naiman's brother came to get feedback which I thought showed how good this company is and how much they care that their clients are fully satisfied.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Quest. Their quote came in as the cheapest quote on Safaribookings.com but in no way was this reflected in the quality of service, standards of accommodation and it was really great value for money.

Unforgettable
The trip lasted 8 nights in total. Emanuel was waiting for us at the Kilimanjaro airport when we arrived. He took us to Christina House for the first night. There they treated us first class. The food, typical of the place, was very rich. We went to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Serengeti. In the serengeti we stayed at the tented camp Serengeti Heritage for four nights. It is in the middle of the serengeti, surrounded by animals that pass meters away from you. To leave the tent it is necessary to warn the guard by means of a walkie-talkie to escort you to the dining room. At night all animals are heard and very close. The attention in the tented camp is exceptional. The food very good. The great migration is a unique spectacle. Then we went back to Arusha for the last night where Emanuel took us to eat typical barbecue from there, spectacular. The truck is a very comfortable Land Cruiser, there is plenty of space for the legs and has a refrigerator to store water and beer. It has a lifting roof so you have a 360 view. As for Emanuel, our guide, I only have words of thanks. Always smiling and well predisposed to everything we asked. He showed us all the animals we asked for (including the big five) and explained in detail the behavior, feeding, etc. of each of them. When the safari was over, he took us to have a few beers in a pantry (that only guides or locals go) in the Serengeti watching the sun go down, incredible. We were able to see lion and cheetah hunts. Lions mating. I will definitely go back and ask that the guide be emanuel again. Thank you very much.

Good Experience
Tanzania is amazing, and my guide was very friendly and informative. The accommodations and food were excellent. There are only two reasons I did not give this five stars. The first being the truck had five separate mechanical issues within two days in the middle of the tour. The guide did his best to make sure it had limited impact on my experience. I expected some kind of issues given the road conditions. Its part of the adventure. I thought five was too many and the vehicle should not have been on the safari. It was a private luxury safari and the company made no effort to compensate me for the inconvenience, not even a souvenir or something to show their regrets. The second is I was taken to a few shops and felt pressured to spend money. If I wanted to leave before I bought anything I was sent back in with some excuse of the truck needing a rest or something stupid like that. Very tacky. These are minor issues and the animals and landscapes were amazing. I saw everything I came for. Unfortunately, the issues described prevented me from giving them five stars.

10d Tarangire Manyara Serengeti Ngorogoro migration private couple. Fabulous highly recommended.
Fabulous and recommended to everyone we know. During enquiries Naiman was excellent and responded quickly and accurately, arranging our tour according to our preferences. We wanted to visit the major parks but also catch the migration during a river crossing which was in N Serengeti during our visit. Payment of deposit directly with follow up completion is ok and worked.
Accomodation was at Tanganyika lodges which exceeded our expectations and was excellent value for money. Food at lodges very good and reasonable prices for alcoholic drinks too. Packed lunches decent. No hot drinks or table cloth for lunch, fine by us, just bring a flask and fill up in the morning.
We had a private couple tour due to our preferred itinerary. Highly recommended as Steve our tour guide and driver could tailor the entire experience to us. Vehicle was the standard long Landcruiser, same as every other tour, except it didn't have fripperies such as phone charging points for each guest. Fine by us! The vehicle was reliable, we even helped pull out another tour's vehicle which got stuck.
Steve is very experienced and was lovely and perfectly pitched throughout. He just knew the land and the animals and knew when to wait and when to move on.
Parks were superb, loved Tarangire and Serengeti central and north. Would love to return to west and south.
Price wise this company is competitive compared to others for similar products and delivers an excellent experience in the animals, accomodation and overall safari enjoyment.

Awesome safari adventure with excellent, highly professional service
This was our second trip with Quest Horizon, They organized our 12-days safari trip to North Tanzania in 2017. This year we decided to go through Southern Circuit visiting Mikumi NP, Ruaha NP, Udzungwa Mountains NP and Selous Game Reserve. After excellent experience we had last year it was clear we would go with Quest Horizon again. In fact it was Naiman who told us about South Tanzania parks and encouraged us to consider going there.
We spent amazing 12 days on South Tanzania safari trip enjoying abundant wildlife. Not too many tourists go there - which creates ideal conditions to watch animals in their natural environment.
Everything was perfectly arranged - as during our previous trip. Our Northern Circuit guide could not go with us this time (he got malaria) but the new guide - Kazungu - was equally excellent.
Once again I can give my full recommendation to Quest Horizon. Whether you are an experienced safari traveller or novice, whether you want to go for 3 weeks or 3 days - just get in touch with them. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent value for maney experience - 3 Day Safari on Taragire, Ngorogoro and Manyara
Traveled to Tanzania in a group of 5 and did a 3-day Safari to Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorogoro. We were traveling on a tight budget but also were looking for quality in this experience.
We did extensive research, exchanged lots of emails with dozens of tours operators looking for the best price before choosing this company. This is not an easy process, there are a lot of tour operators, some of them gave us very high quotes and felt harassed by some companies that emailed us everyday trying to close the deal.
Naiman, the company owner, is a very professional and honest. He offered us a great quote for the Safari, similar to other companies, and after reading the online reviews about Quest Horizon, we decided to go with them and it was the best decision that we could ever had made. Great costumer service, he met us at the hotel on the day before to brief and greet us and after the safari to check how the safari went and seeking our feedback.
The Safari was a great experience, beyond our expectations. We were really impressed with the quality of everything. You have a mini-fridge, power sockets, pop up roof in the jeep. We didn't get any mechanical issues during the trip.
The driver/guide Rashid was excellent, very knowledgeable, careful driver, great animal spotter. We appreciated the fact that he did not take us where all the others jeeps were, avoiding the “traffic”, so we had some encounters where there was just us and the animals. We learned a lot from Rashid and had lots of laughs with him.
We really liked the place where we camped for 2 nights, Twiga, we were not expecting to sleep as well as we did. We could enjoy the pool after safari and had a mini market where we could buy some wine for dinner.
The food was amazing, we really gained some weight on this 3 days. The chef is extraordinary. We never expected to eat such great food on a camping safari. He prepared us breakfast and dinner to eat on the campsite, and we took lunch boxes when we went to the parks. The last day instead of lunch boxes he offered us a late lunch at the campsite before we drive back to Arusha.
This was an excellent value for money experience, we fell very grateful and can't thank enough to Naiman, Rashid and the chef, for taking such good care of us. Book with this company you will not be disappointed.

excellent safari experience. i highly recommend it.
short review: quest horizon safaris was excellent. i highly recommend it.
long review (for those who might find it helpful): make sure when you choose a safari operator they conduct the entire safari in a pop up canopy 4x4 jeep. Do not go on a bus/truck, it is not suited to safari.
also be sure to pick a safari with a good itinerary. why would you want to waste time at villages etc? Serengeti is the jewel, you want to spend lots of your time there. I had 48 hours in serengeti, a day in ngorongoro and a half day in tarangire. A total of 6 nights. That itinerary is great, with no waste.
Yes your safari guide will make a big difference to your experience. I was very lucky to get Manuel. He is the ultimate safari guide and a true gentleman. He worked hard so i could see the best sites and shared lots of information about the animals. Count yourself lucky if you get him as your guide.
The safari itself was excellent. It ran without a hitch. I would recommend it to anyone.
This company is owned by locals which seems to make a difference. They set an itinerary without taking me to places that aren’t worth going to. And they were responsive to all my questions before I booked/arrived.

Could not have been better! Our tour guide Stephen was amazing.
Many weeks ago I was asked about this holiday. It took me 6 months to type it up and this is what I had to say:
An amazing adventure made special by a great tour guide going beyond and above!!!
We have booked a 8 day Safari with Quest Horizon after enquiring over a dozen of operators. The main selection criteria were Rating, price and quick response to questions with willingness to accomodate changes.
We have certainly not regretted the decision.
I would like to summarise the tour as following:
- Little did I know
- Listen to your guide
- The wildlife is amazing
In my opinion the most important factor that makes or breaks a safari is a qualified and knowledgeable tour guide.
Our guide (Stephen) let me repeat (Stephen) went well beyond and above what anyone would expect even if it meant longer hours for him. Every suggestion he made was spot on and well worth doing.
Always and I mean always go with your guides recommendation.
Some of the places are a hit and miss if it comes to seeing very rare species like the black rhino but always and I mean always go with the recommendation of your guide.
It was so worth going on this safari and I would ask definitely for Stephen again.
