A safari to remember for the rest of my life
It was my first time in East Africa, and my first time doing a safari. I found Beacon Safari's by chance online. It was a very last minute decision I made to travel, as I had a few days off in-between changing jobs. From initial email to Robert the owner, and to arriving in Kenya, it was only 3 or 4 days! Robert took care of all accommodation, meals and transfers included in one reasonable price. The camps he selects are the best, not only in quality but also in experience. John the driver was invaluable, he had lots of knowledge of the areas we visited as well as the wildlife, and he worked hard to make sure we saw the Big 5! I would definitely go with Beacon Safari's again.
The best tour operator I have ever been with
I had wanted to go on a safari since I was a boy and had never been to Kenya before.
I therefore did a lot of research on which company to use and chose Beacon Safaris. Robert answered all my many questions quickly and comprehensively. His suggestions worked out brilliantly and these, together with the enthusiastic guiding and driving by Anthony, made sure that I saw far more than I expected. Indeed Anthony took on my requests as a personal mission to fulfill and fulfill them he did.
The 8 day safari worked like clockwork and my wife and I felt safe and secure the whole time.
I cannot recommend Beacon Safaris highly enough and this is the easiest 5 out of 5 I have ever given.

Short April Safari
Everything went well from the pick-up to the drop-off and all in between. The service and lodge were both excellent and we got to see many amazing animals thanks to our top-class guide Anthony who really tried his best throughout the trip. The Mara itself looked great and it was a privilege to spend even a short time there. I would certainly love to see it again in the not too distant future.

3-day Kenya Safari - Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru
My 3-day safari was full of fun and I had a great experience! My initial flight was cancelled and I had to book another flight to Nairobi the next day. Robert changed the itinerary immediately when he was notified. John, my safari guide, took extra miles to ensure that I had a great experience. And I did! John is also very knowledgeable and accommodative. I highly recommend Beacon Safaris and John! By the way, I went during the rainy season and saw the big five, including the elusive black rhino! Thanks, John and Robert!
The safari was magic, and our guide (Kenneth) has a lot of knowlegde, always smiling and helpful.
It was a wonderful holiday.
A lot of driving, but when we arrived at the park every mile was forgotten.
And all the magnificent animals.
Our guide (Kenneth) is a very nice, polite and smiling man.

9 Day Magical Kenya
My husband and I just returned on Sunday from Africa and are already missing it. At the end of May-June 6th we were with Kenneth and had the best time. We visited Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli, and Tsavo (east and west). Each park was wonderful in different ways, and Ken did an amazing job of telling us about the parks, animals, and getting us to amazing spots. We saw SO MANY elephants, zebras, giraffe, hippos, Topi, Impala and even several Lions. The best was seeing two leopards, a herd of Rhino, and a few cheetahs. I even left my Ipad at the hotel in Nairobi and Robert and his team were able to get it back to me! Robert was quick and responsive with emails and the itinerary was great. Some of the hotels were only okay, but that was due more to a constraint on our budget as opposed to their planning. If you can spend a little more to stay in a place better than the Voi Safari Lodge, I would. I would (and already have) recommended going to Kenya and using Beacon.

Safari lived fully up to our expectations due to excellent guide Antony
The reservation process with Beacon Safaris went smoothly, feedback was swift and complete. The Toyota Landcruiser used for the safari was only one year old and well maintained.
The tented camps, where we stayed during the 7 day safari, were luxurious, clean and the food was good.
Our guide Antony was punctual, friendly, very knowledgeable and a safe driver.
We truly had a great safari and can heartily recommend him as well as Beacon Safaris.

Beyond our expectations!
My husband and I booked a safari trip, but also requested a few add ons. Robert did a great job organizing everything on our trip and came to greet us at the airport and say bye before we departed. Our driver Ashton was fabulous ... Always on time, informative, friendly, and even helped us sort out a banking issue. Had a great time and my next trip to Kenya will be handled by Beacon Safaris again and hopefully we'll get Ashton again.
Highly recommended!

3 Day Masai Mara
Booked a last minute 3 day Masai Mara trip with Beacon Safari. They were absolutely wonderful. Did a great job of building a custom safari around what we wanted. Namely all day safari drives instead of just a morning and afternoon drive and a more camp like resort. We went with IIKeliani and we were the only people there for 1 night and there were 2 other couples there the other night. The camp was wonderful and took care of all of our needs. Beacon Safari and David our amazing guide were top notch. We saw 4 of the big 5 only missing the Rhino. David seemed like a lead guide out there with other guides always asking him where to find things and which direction the animals were moving. Seeing a cheetah eating a jackal in a tree was amazing. We were the only ones there. David made sure we got all the pictures we wanted before informing the other guides of where this was. We were also the first to find a male lion napping on the Mara and a family of 3 female lions and their 6 baby lions. Just an amazing experience overall. You should book with Beacon if you want an amazing experience. I will be booking with them again on our next safari.
Great experience
Just came back from a 3-day safari in Masai Mara with our friendly guide Anthony. It was an awesome time; saw lots of animals (no leopards or rhinos, though) and had a great experience. Robert was professional, quick to respond to changes in our itinerary and quick to respond to our inquiries. Anthony was friendly, always smiling and knowlegeable about the park, the animals and Kenya in general. Sad to see that so many animals seem to have disappeared compared to 20 yrs ago, but would definitely recommend safari to anyone, especially with Beacon. We stayed at the Sopa lodge, which was luxurious, had great food and drinks! Relaxing to come back to after a day of driving on rough terrain :)
