Amazing trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe with Extraordinary Journeys
We had the trip of a lifetime, thanks in large part to the easy communication with Jamie at EJ, who quickly got the sense of exactly what we were looking for. We stayed at six different places and she nailed it every time (though of course we had favorites). I had worried that three back-to-back safari destinations would be too much, but each was quite different from the other and we could have continued much longer. Jamie was patient with our extended questions and changes of plans and happily accommodated some less standard requests. The service on the trip was wonderful and we met wonderful people throughout. Highly recommended.

It was the most Extraordinary Journey of my lifetime!
My daughter, a DJ in Atlanta, Georgia, loves giraffes. One of her listeners sent her a link to Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya. Thus began my journey to Africa. I have traveled extensively in my 69 years, but never to a place so different from all I know. I was out of my comfort zone and needed some hand holding! After several months of researching various “safari” specialists, I was led to “Extraordinary Journeys “, and Jenny Salentine. Jenny quickly understood my needs and concerns. Within a couple of days she had put together a fabulous itinerary for me and my daughter, which included not only a stay in Giraffe Manor but also a ring side seat to the Great Migration! She also led me to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where for a mere $50 you can adopt an orphaned elephant! Then, while in Nairobi, we were able to visit the Elephant Orphanage during feeding time and get “up close and personal” with the baby elephants. Amazing!!
From the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi, someone was there to meet us. This was extremely comforting to me. I had expressed to Jenny my concern about the physical requirements of a safari because of my age …although I am in pretty good shape! In each of the three “camps”, Jenny arranged for our tent to be the closest possible to the main lodge. We were so well cared for in each of the camps that it felt like we were visiting friends! The food was amazing! The guides were fantastic! Everyone, in every camp was delightful and so willing to provide anything we requested. And, twice, while on Safari, I was contact by the local representatives in Nairobi, asking if all was well and did I need anything. Again, very comforting!
Our trip to Africa was an “Extraordinary Journey”. I have never been anywhere where I have felt so profoundly, the magnificence of God’s creation. It was a life altering experience. Thanks to all at Extraordinary Journeys for making in possible.

Magical trip of a lifetime!
There are no words to express our level of gratitude and satisfaction with Dania and the amazing staff of Extraordinary Journeys. From our first conversation expressing our hopeful "wish list" of our Africa experiences until we arrived back in the US, this trip was an effortless, all insecurities erased, trip to a magical wonderland. Within days, Dania had the entire trip planned, our wish list and so much more completed. Nothing was left out, from personal guides, greeters at airports, internal flights within Africa, helicopter transfers and accommodations booked in the most beautiful romantic places we have ever stayed. We travel a lot, but nothing has ever compared to the magic we experienced in South Africa, Zimbabwe and the islands of Mozambique. Our safari time at And Beyond Leadwood Lodge was surreal. Multiple encounters with leopards, lions, rhino, giraffes, hippos, elephants and more all while surrounded in pure luxury and beauty. Staff, service and food amazing here and everywhere in Africa.
In all of our travels around the world, nothing has come close to our Africa experience. This 13 night journey, thanks to Extraordinary Journeys ,allowed us to experience a trip of a lifetime, surpassing all our hopes and wishes. There was not one glitch in the entire trip, Extraordinary Journeys thought of everything! A heartfelt thanks( even though we did leave a piece of our heart in Africa) we will be traveling with EJ again

One of the best experiences of my life
Extraordinary Journey did an incredible job with booking my trip. This was a birthday gift to myself, my best friend and I went on this amazing trip and I was very happy. extraordinary Ethiopian adventure
Our adventure in Ethiopia was perfect from the beginning to the end. Our guide, Ermias Tamiru, was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and fun! In just 12 short days we were able to see much of the country and certainly many of the highlights. We were able to enjoy historical monuments and museums as well as natural hikes and cultural markets. I would not change a thing. Lara Ray did a spectacular job of setting up the tour, keeping us informed and helping us to be prepared.

Extraordinary Journeys took care of all the details so that we could relax and enjoy our Tanzanian adventure. They kept our interests and budget in mind as they planned our trip, in the end giving us more value for the money than another well known tour company that we talked to.

Best Adventure Yet
My husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a magnificent vacation to Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, and Kenya planned with help from Extraordinary Journeys. We travel frequently and were very impressed with the thoughtful planning from this company. They had every transition so well thought out, arranged the most beautiful and luxurious places for us to stay that were optimal for viewing the animals we wanted to see, and made every effort possible to make this a special trip for us while ensuring we got to do everything we wanted to on the trip. We appreciated the fantastic communication regarding every last detail both before and during the trip, which in speaking to fellow travelers can sometimes be hard to come by with some other travel companies. Exceptional Experience Start to Finish
The trip to Rwanda and Kenya was exceptionally well prepared and executed. The staff at Extraordinary Journeys has direct hands-on relationships with local guides and tour operators providing the most VIP experiences for customers. The pre-departure call was critical and every detail is reviewed: air, hotels, itinerary, add-on experiences... everything! The quality of service is the highest I have received and therefore the safari itself was beyond my best expectations. The guides (Anderson in Kigali, Loyce at the Rwandan gorillas, Gladys at Mara North Conservancy) were the best. The timing was perfect: exactly the right amount of time for each experience. 100% satisfied!!

Exceeded Expectations!
Our trip, led by John Moody of Extraordinary Journeys, was just that - extraordinary. From the planning stages to our return home, we were well taken care of. We have traveled extensively, both on our own and with tour groups, and this trip was superior in terms of customer service, attention to detail, and accommodations. Of course, being on safari was a huge highlight, and we could not have been more impressed with the people we met and the thrill of spotting wildlife, from herds of elephants to a solitary cape buffalo.
