Face of Africa were excellent! They guided us to the top of Kilimanjaro, 10/10 recommend.
We did Kilimanjaro (Uhuru peak) with Face of Africa guiding us. They were absolutely phenomenal! Extremely helpful, very cooperative, great food and guided us to the T.
They were extremely well prepared from the get go, from arranging pick up at the airport to taking us all the way to the summit. They had 4 guides who managed us (a big group of 8 with varying experience) as we needed. The food was excellent on all days, the safety precautions were on point. They were extremely friendly (taught us a few songs in Swahili), helpful, and experienced. Some of the guides had made it to the summit 200+ times so we were in good hands.
I felt very confident in our guides Oscar, Florian, and Valence. Abi was a great photographer + guide, Mudi was a great chef, Joffrey and Kevin were our porters and extremely fun. 7 out of the 8 of us made it to the top, all thanks to Face of Africa. Highly recommend them if you plan to do Kilimanjaro or the Safari.

Face of Africa will arrange everything for a Tanzanian adventure including safari, treks and tours
I went on a custom 12 day safari with Face of Africa to Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ndutu Plains, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Hamadi Ningaa of Face of Africa arranged everything: airport transfers, guides, safari vehicles, permits/entry fees, top notch lodging (tent camp, resorts, hotels) meals, box lunches. Best of all were the safari guides! All were incredibly knowledgable about the animals, birds, habitats and people of the area. I can’t say enough good things about them, especially Sam and Saif who I rode with the majority of the time! It’s still surprising to me how they could spot tiny animals and birds that we couldn’t see, patiently answer questions, drive 10-12 hours a day over rough, dusty roads AND make repairs to the vehicles for 12 days straight. All the guides were careful to get close enough to the animals without disturbing them or their habitat like so many other safari companies do.
I stayed a few days extra in Tanzania before and after the safari. Hamadi arranged for some wonderful extras for me. Prior to the safari, Hamadi arranged for a guide to show me around Arusha and the surrounding area for 2 days. Justin took me for a hike to a waterfall, visited a small coffee farm, saw the Maasai livestock market, the central market, the Cultural Center, the Snake Park among other things. Hamadi also arranged for 4 days/3 nights of hiking on Mt. Meru after the safari with a guide, a cook and porters. Both the before and after safari adventures were fabulous. Knowledgeable, friendly guides who really know the area, the people and culture and are proud to show visitors their beautiful county.
If you are going to Tanzania, I highly recommend Face of Africa. Contact Hamadi and tell him what you’d like to do and he can arrange it. I was really glad I used Face of Africa for all of my adventures.

Safe, experienced, ethical, guides and a company you can trust.
Face of Africa Adventures is an outstanding and ethical company. The service and quality of the experience are great. I book large group tours with FOAA and the experience keeps me coming back and has made me a loyal customer. This is the kind of eco-tourism outfit I want to support.
The driver guides take care of your safety and know the animals' behavior and habits so you can get an incredible experience. Drivers in some other companies chase and harass animals. You will not see this with FOAA. They respect and protect wildlife with best practices, ensuring you a terrific experience without jeopardizing the welfare of the animals. The guides have an encyclopedic knowledge of birds, mammals, reptiles, and ecology. You will learn so much about what you see, increasing your appreciation and joy in the experience.
I love working with FOAA and have run four tours with them (more to come). I lead nature drawing and journaling trips for groups of around 20 people. When I book with FOAA, I know we are in good hands and I can concentrate my work on teaching observation and drawing skills and that the logistics are handled. I trust and can rely upon Hamadi Ningaa, the business owner to take care of my group and to treat us well. On every tour, he has delivered a great experience at reasonable prices. He also has helped me rearrange the trips to save money without jeopardizing the experience. FOAA also has contingency and backup plans in place should something unexpected happen so I need not worry about logistics.

Hamade took care of the details, each day was better then the last.
The guides were knowledgeable and patient with our group. Each day contained new and exciting adventures. Each night we were welcomed at amazing accommodations. The entire trip was like dream come true. With all the details taken care of, I was able to sit back and enjoy every minute. The entire team of Face of Africa made me want to return to Tanzania and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to go on Safari.

Terrific experience, knowledgeable, kind and capable guides!
Face of Africa and its guides made me feel safe, cared for, and free to eye witness big time Nature. Thrilling! They were kind and caring, always fulfilling special requests. Their knowledge of the wild life was simply astounding. Immediately they were friends upon whom we could depend. The accommodations selected were as awesome as the parks visited. Imagine staying in an 1st class room on a coffee plantation or in tented lodges where the wildlife live

Great outfit to book a safari with.
This is an awesome outfit to book a safari with. Our group was with Face of Africa for 2 weeks. The company has drivers that have been working for them for a number of years. The outings were well planned and the hotel/camps used were beautiful and wonderful. The food always fresh and healthy. Box/Bag lunches provided each days outing. The drivers were so knowledgeable about their country, the animals and birds. There was almost no question of ours that they could not answer. Great communication about what each day safari entailed. We were picked up at the airport, escorted through out several national parks and delivered back to the airport for flying home. They were also able to accommodate various requests. This was a trip of a life time for me and it did not disappoint. It was well worth the money and I would not hesitate to recommend Face of Africa or to book another trip with them.

Excellent, knowledgable, smart, fun guides made this an outstanding experience.
We had an excellent safari experience for a reasonable price, staying in several up-scale lodges and one tent camp that put us right in the middle of the action. Our guides were top-notch. Our guides went at our pace, which can be slow because we're a group of nature journalists doing artwork in the field and geeking out on science. At the end of our safari, we spent two wonderful days teaching nature journaling at the Amani Children's Home and taking 42 children on safari for a day.

Nice, knowledgable and fun, great people for a safari!
Going with a large group of people who nature journal we had a very accommodating trip with Hamadi and the guides Shaffi, Seif, Dixon, and Sam. Hamadi helped out with all the details, while the guides were informative, knowledgable, funny and patient. They did all of their great work of pointing out animals, insects, birds while safely driving the bumpy dusty roads of the Serengeti and all the other wonderful places we went! The accommodations were amazing, even in the bush there was hot showers, beds with mosquito nets and a beautiful dining room! the food was wonderful, especially all the fresh vegetables and fruit. The people of Tanzania are nice and fun! We went to an orphanage for two days and our guides and Hamadi were totally involved in getting the kids to join in the drawing of animals and learning about the nature around them. Very good people.

Outstanding! They were kind, knowledgeable, fun, professional all around amazing!
I joined a Nature Journaling group on Safari with Face of Africa, and it was a phenomenal experience! Hamadi the owner was fantastic to work with before, during and after the trip. His attention to detail was wonderful. He chose fantastic lodging for us, and I really enjoyed the pace of the trip! During our time we visited Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ndutu Plains, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.
The Guides from Face of Africa were amazing! They were beyond knowledgable in animals, animal behaviour, conservation and most importantly passionate about animal safety. They were also incredibly patient with us as we sketched and documented our observations through Nature Journaling. They even ended up joining in the fun of Nature Journaling with us which was so awesome! At the end of our trip, we visited the Amani Children's Home where with the support of the Wild Wonder Foundation, we brought Nature Journaling kits for all the children, supplied busses and lunch for our field trip to Tarangire National Park. On the first day we taught the kids how to Nature Journal. During this time, we invited the Face of Africa to join us, and they jumped at the chance! They were so passionate about sharing their experiences as business owners, guides, and their experience with Nature Journaling. They even ended up teaching some of the session we were running! The next day we took all the students to Tarangire National Park to experience the park and do some more Nature Journaling. Face of Africa was instrumental in this experience, as we had busses and the use of their Safari Vehicles. Again, the guides jumped at the chance to mentor the students. Face of Africa coordinated all the permits for the park as well as the lunches. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company and would HIGHLY recommend them as your choice for Safari!!
