Joshua was professional, knowledgable and his enthusiasm for his work and the animals shined through
The food and accommodation was decent and comfortable and as expected for a budget safari. There was plenty of food at every meal and opportunities to buy snacks on the road. The schedule was well organised, with maximum time spent in the parks and reserves, timings were all very well communicated.
Our guide, Joshua, strove to give us the best experiences in animal sightings, we saw the big five in the first evening game drive!

Wow, a dream came true
We went on a safari with James Gichina, and it was a truly wonderful experience.
James was incredibly kind, patient, and always available whenever we needed something. He shared his deep knowledge about the animals and the parks, made us feel safe and comfortable the whole time, and went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying every moment.
There are a few small things that could be improved:-
1) at the tented camp - there was tow lizard on our tent, there’s a whole a bathroom that can insects gets in.
2)we ran out of water the last day
3) there’s no variety in food in the camps always the same.
Over all, Jocky is great choose and if you can pick your guide pick James Gichina

A week full of everything we wanted and more
We had the best week with Jocky Tours! We went to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli, each was very different from each other and offered so many beautiful sights. Our guide Dickson found us the big 5 and was always telling us about the animals and able to answer any questions we had, he made the trip a fun and always made sure we were ok! We stayed in tented accommodation as part of our safari and although we were hesitant about this, it was absolutely fine and we were able to hear the elephants in the night and woke up to being able to see them just outside of our camp! This is one of the best trips I have been on and we would highly recommend!

Excellent experience
I recently had an unforgettable safari experience in Kenya with Jocky Tours, and I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude to our incredible tour guide, Sir Charles. In my opinion, he is absolutely the No.1 guide! Charles is not only an excellent driver but also a skilled tracker and "hunter" (in the best sense). He has an extraordinary ability to find the perfect spots for us to capture stunning photos of wildlife. Thanks to his professional expertise and keen instincts, we were able to witness some truly remarkable moments, including a lion hunting, spotting Simba, and even observing male and female ostriches switching shifts to guard their eggs.
One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the rare black rhino, which we were told is incredibly difficult to spot. This was such a special and memorable experience, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Charles’ expertise and dedication.
As for Jocky Tours, I must say their service is highly cost-effective and offers great value for money. The accommodations were well-chosen, and staying at Kibo Safari Camp for the last two nights was absolutely fantastic—it was the perfect way to end our trip.
That said, I do have one small recommendation for improvement. I would have appreciated receiving the driver’s contact information a few days prior to the safari. In our case, we only received Charles’ WhatsApp contact at 8 PM the night before our departure, which felt a bit last-minute. I had to call the company to request the information, and they shared it with me afterward. I hope the communication process can be more proactive in the future to make the experience even smoother.
In conclusion, this was a truly amazing safari experience, and I highly recommend Jocky Tours to anyone planning a trip to Kenya. And if you’re lucky enough to have Charles as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional adventure!

From start to finish the tour was excellent!
I am sure that we had the best driver in all of the Masai Mara, John Mwangi is his name, if you want to watch all the animals, make sure you are fir him by name! He really went out of his way to make sure we watch all the animals and as close as possible! Thank John, you helped me live a lifelong dream!
Overtourism and disrespect for nature
I join Theo to say that as wildlife conservationist, we wanted to experience our first ever Safari and what better place than the Massai Mara ?
we decided to trust the good reviews this Tour Operator has and booked a 6 days safari through the Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli.
That was a mistake.
I don't know how is it possible that so many people are blindfold about what is going on in Mara but Jocky Tour is definitly part of the problem. I never seen so much unethical behavior to satisfy clients on a game drive. It was not just our guide, it was all of them. Jocky Tour is responsible because it pushes those kind of behavior, to satisfy their clients, to have a cool selfie and when I confronted them about it they had nothing to say anymore. We were next to a lioness with 2 cubs, hiding in bush, the car was at less than 2 METERS away, stressing them, phones ringing, two guides from two different companies talking to each other loudly. It was 50 plus cars in front of a lioness with a kill, she didn't know what to do anymore. 50 plus cars again cercling a scared leopard in a bush to get a photo. Loud engines, people talking loudly, cars trying to get in front of one another for their guests to have a better view, it was pure chaos. When I confronted our guide about it, he told me that he'll try to stay discret and keep a safe distance from the animals. But nontheless, one poor cheetah with 40 plus cars around latter during the day was the nail in the coffin for us. All those tour operators are killing the Mara, one of the last wild jewel of Africa, all that for short term profit and to satisfy clients that think it's a zoo. It changes animal behavior and causing so much damage on the land to have so much vehicules with no regulations!
Studies shows that cheetah to have less cubs in the Mara because of the stress caused by all this. Lionesses loose kills, buffalos can't escape anymore, blocked by army of people and let's not talk about the great migration... There is countless and coutless exemple of thoses abuses.
Also, the program was not followed, as we should have had a full day in the Mara but insead it was cut short ta have the optional visit of a Massai village. Which is also a big joke as it doesn't look authentic at all, it is more of a show for tourists.
PLEASE, if you read this, make sure your tour operator is not some kind of money profit, selfish organisation like Jocky Tour that doesn't think about the environnement and the damage it causes. Make sure they are ethical and that their guides are well trained and aware about animals safety. I understand that everybody doesn't have the money for the private experience which is our case at the moment. But we still left the safari at the end of the first day. Even if we're not getting our money back because we didn't finish it (and I don't mind paying the parc fees), we don't want to be involve and witness something like this EVER again. So save a little more money but make sure you go there to respect the place and enjoyed it for it's true value, to keep it as wild as possible.

The experience has been fantastic; it has far exceeded our expectations.
Steven has been our tour guide; his knowledge of the animals, his experience, and his enthusiasm made our safari days truly spectacular. The hotels chosen by Jocky Tours were perfect (specially the Opa lodge in Naivasha), and we especially highlight the excellent service. In addition, the meals were very good with plenty of variety.

Beautifull trip with the best driver
When I saw all the positive reviews I thought it was unposssible for agency to have so many.
But after my trip I can highly recommend this agency and especially driver Stanley. We spend with Stanley 5 days.
Stanley wanted to show us all the animals on Safari. When other drivers stopped we ran to see cheetahs. We were always the first to see something intresting and we had planty of time to enjoy the views.
Stanley told us so many intresting facts about animals.
Thank you Stanley for your smile and for showing us beautiful animals. We had luck to have you us our driver.
If one day I return to Kenya I choose this agency and the best driver again :).

Wonderful experience
Excellent experience. Our guide, Wycliffe, was super attentive, kept us safe, and worked hard to ensure we had the best experience in the Masai Mara and throughout the trip. The Jambo Mara Lodge is also wonderful. Very comfortable, attentive staff, and great food. Everything was wonderful. My suggestion is to check the vehicle's seatbelts. Other than that, everything was great!
