Our Guide James was very kind, patient, generous, knowledgeable, highly experienced,&professional
5/5

It was a unforgettable experience! I absolutely loved it. It was our first Safari ever and it didn't disappoint at all. It was a 5 day Safari trip to Masai Mara, Nakuru lake, and Naivasha lake. Our Guide James was very kind, patient, generous, knowledgeable, highly experienced, professional and an excellent driver. He also had great communication skills and was really good in English. The 4×4 land cruiser jeep was very comfortable and spacious. While in the jeep, we could easily take breathtaking pictures from sitting or standing. We went with a a tiny group and we all wore masks. I highly recommend going with a group because you get to know new people and it's cheaper. Seeing the animals in the wild is 10 times better than seeing them in a zoo. You get to see them hunt, eat, and nap without disturbing them. We saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, wildebeests, ostriches, hippos, hyenas, rhinos, all kind of exotic birds, turtles, Buffalos, warthog, jackals and impalas to name a few but not all. We went in the rainy season in May but that didn't stop us from seeing the animals and it does not rain all the time and not every day. They are a very straight forward, clear and honest agency. Everything we needed was provided from food to accommodation without any extra payments. They offered the best price in the market and they also offer safari trips to all of Kenya's destinations. We contacted them from our country via whatsapp and they provided us with all the info we needed and and answered our endless questions. If you are visiting Kenya, we highly recommend Jocky tours and Safaris and to ask to have Hames as your guide.

Good organized all-inclusive safari to the Maasai Mara!
4/5

We had contact by email and phone. Both worked quickly and were informative. We booked a budget private tour and were glad with our choice! The whole Toyota Land cruiser for ourselves was pretty nice and worth the additional money.

Jack was a great driver and good tour guide. Especially inside the park; he knew the animals, gave informative facts & background and he tried his upmost best to find the wildlife! We felt save on the slippery tracks and comfortable at times to look at the animals and taking pictures.

Due to COVID-19; Jack was wearing his mask correctly and consequently at all times and there were a lot of places where you could wash your hands.

The accomodation was fine, don't expect too much however, it's sober. Bed and bathroom were clean. Kitchen and security staff at Lenchata camp were friendly and supportive. The programm was in line with the proposed itinerary and lived for sure up to our expectations.

7 days full of fascination
5/5

Amazing experience with Jocky Tours. A friend and I opted for a 7-day safari that included Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli.

Our guide Josh was really amazing and explained us everything! We've been very lucky with our game drives - we saw almost all big five and even a lion even a lion that killed a hippo.
We saw al lot of different animals and I was able to take amazing pictures! Thank you so much.

Additionally the view and scenery in Amboseli with the Kilimanjaro in the background was amazing on our last day. And all those elephants crossing the roads in the morning and evening was impressive.
Amazing!

The only somewhat annoying experience was the stops for food and bathroom breaks along the way with the souvenir stores included. I am absolutely not a shopping type and found the salesmen a bit exhausting.

In any case, I can highly recommend this tour.

Thank you Josh and Jocky Tours again for this amazing experience.

Excelente choix

Amazing experience with Jocky Tours. I friend and I decided for 7 days safari including Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. Our guide Josh was really good. Patient all time when we wanted to have photos, good driver, and he could found some animals trails, which allowed us to see all the animals we wanted from really close. And all of that, with good price and a private safari with land cruiser. Eric from the company gave us all support for our questions and the lodges were just excelente. Good food and good stay. I recommend.

Unforgettable experience!
5/5

Our safari was an amazing experience!
Our driver was Evans, he picked us up from our place in Nairobi. We got to Masai Mara around 3.30 PM, we put our bags in our tent (which had a separate toilet and shower) and went for an evening drive in the park. On the very first day we saw lions, giraffes, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, Thomson gazelles, and hippos.
On the second day we got up very early, and after our breakfast we went for a whole-day-long game drive in the park (at 7 AM we were already watching cheetahs). We saw lions from only a few metres which was amazing. We also saw elephants, leopards, ostrich, and so many more.
Evans is a fantastic driver, who knows a lot about animals, and could tell us interesting facts about them. He was very friendly all along. He did everything he could to make this trip unforgettable.
On the last day we got up very early and left to visit Naivasha lake which we requested in advance, and we took a 1-hour long boatride (30USD/person, optional, not included in price). The lake is beautiful, and we could see hippos and a lot of birds. After lunch we went to Hell's Gate National Park, ticket was included in the safari price. We rented bikes (10USD/bike, optional, not included) and we were cycling in the park where were giraffes, zebras and buffalos around us. It was very beautiful.
We saw pictures about the canyon in the park, but guards there told us it would cost and extra 20USD to go there (short trip, longer was 40), which was very frustrating because we already paid the price for the ticket and it felt like an extra ripoff (it is on the park, not the whole safari). We were already cycling 6km-s, but we just turned around.
First day lunch, dinner, second day: breakfast, lunch (picknick), dinner, 3rd day breakfast, lunch, and bottled water for every day was in the price. I am vegan, and I had quite a few options. I was always full after the meals.
We paid 400USD for the whole trip/person. I booked it via email with Jockey Tours. It was totally worth it, I loved every minute of it!

6 day private safari- an unforgettable experience!
5/5

Me and my girlfriend went to our first Safari with Jockey tours in 2021 March. Upon asking for offers from around 8-10 tour companies, they have sent one of the best (and cheapest) offers, so we decided to go with them.

Communication, payment: we mainly communicated via email, and they were always fast to respond. They did not require any deposit, we only had to pay on the first day of the safari.

Program: We decided to go on a 6 day (5 nights) private tour. Our guide, Joshua (more on him later) picked us up at our accommodation in Nairobi, on time. Then we drove to Masai Mara, where we spent 2 nights, after that came Lake Nakuru for 1 night, then Amboseli for 2 more nights. They were quite flexible regarding the plans, and recommended some alternations in the program that suited our needs better. This program contains some long drives (3*6 hours), so be prepared for that, but we felt like it was well worth it. Our favorite was Masai Mara, but Amboseli is also a great experience, and a totally different landscape.

Car: We decided to go for the Jeep instead of the minivan (it was only a little more expensive), and was very happy with our decision. The car was in excellent condition, very spacious and comfortable, and offered some amazing viewing options. Later in our stay, we also tried a minivan (just for 1 day) with a different provider and that was quite a downgrade in our opinion compared to the Jeep, so definitely recommend going for the jeep, especially if you are a bigger group.

Accommodations: We've opted for the budget options, but in reality our accommodation were at least mid class, which was a great surprise. other providers only offered budget accommodations for much higher prices. All of them were comfortable, and we've received in most cases the biggest, and best rooms in all of them (this might have been because of COVID, and the lack of guests).

Food: Food was surprisingly good, but it mostly depends on your accommodations. The packed lunch (when you're on a game drive during lunch) was a little underwhelming, but we didn't really mind.

Guide: Probably the most important factor to have a great safari is the guide. Our guide Joshua was simply amazing. An extremely kind, knowledgeable, caring person. We had great talks during the long hours of drive to the parks. He was able to just about answer any of our questions (we had a real life Wikipedia :)) regarding both Kenya, and the animals, landscape etc. He helped us tailor the trip so it fitted our needs best. He made sure every time that we see all the animals we wanted, and also that we had the best photos possible! He really went above and beyond to make our trip perfect, and we are extremely grateful for that!

We went to another 1 day safari with a different guide and company later in our holiday, and it was a huge difference, which made us just appreciate Joshua even more.

Overall we were extremely happy with our experience with Jockey Tours and Joshua, and would recommend them for anyone looking for a trustworthy operator in Kenya.

Fantastic Tour
5/5

Awesome safari at a fantastic price. We had Robert as our guide and I couldn't have asked for better. The food and hospitality were both excellent and Robert knew exactly where to go to give us the best experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an amazing experience at a lower price.

Fantastic Masai Mara experience
5/5

We booked the budget 4 day Masai Mara / Naivasha tour - it was a fantastic tour. The four day program was exactly what we needed. Our driver was great and drove us very safely through the difficult road conditions, also the accomodations were very comfy. We saw a lot of animals in the Masai Mara. The information about the animals and the landscape was, from my point of view, partly a little minimal. Driving on the difficult roads and at the same time telling something about the animals is not easy either.

The tour is absolutely recommendable.
