Well-organized safari with a skilled guide, offering good value and a flexible approach
We had a very good safari experience with Johnny Jackson as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and his insights into the animals' movements helped us get some excellent sightings. Johnny was also flexible with the itinerary, taking into account our preferences, which was much appreciated.
The vehicle was comfortable and well-suited to off-road sections. Accommodation was simple but comfortable, and the food was decent, though it could have used more variety, as we had similar meals each day (mostly rice, lentils, and meat).
At first, the price seemed high, but after the tour, I felt it was good value for money given the quality of the experience and Johnny’s skill as a guide. Overall, a well-organized tour with a capable guide. Recommended.

Incredible safari experience
We have booked a 6-days budget safari with Jocky Tours and everything was beyond our expectations. Absolutely great value for the budget price.
We have spent the first two nights at the Sankale Mara Camp outside of Maasai Mara. The tent was spacious for two, we had our own bathroom with hot water and also a mosquito net around each bed. Food was fine as well. We have spent the third night in a nice hotel in Nakuru town, which had a pool and even a rooftop bar. The last two nights we were accomodated in the Manjaro Tented Camp very close to the Kimana Gate of the Amboseli National Park, which was excellent. We have received an entire modern house to stay, Henry and his entire team was so welcoming and took a really good care of us. I will never forget those delicious fresh mangos!
Our jeep was a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser with 9 seats and pop-up roof, very comfortable for the safari and even for the big distances (in 6 days we drove cca. 1000 km-s). Bottled water was provided during the entire trip.
We were lucky to have two driver guides during our safari, both Kikitu and James were just amazing. Main features: well organisation, punctuality, safety, knowlegde and of course fun. They both know a lot about the african animals and were always ready to answer all our questions. Most of the time we could drive very close to the animals and could admire their beauty and make fantastic shots. For the final two days we remained just the two of us in the jeep and enjoyed a private safari - we just felt so lucky. To be able to watch the sunrise at Mount Kilimanjaro was awesome. We are just so grateful to Kikitu and James, who made our stay in Kenya unforgettable. Asante sana, guys!
The only negative thing to mention is the fact, that the jeep was not fueled before the trip, so we have spent a half an hour at the petrol station, as oil and the air at the tires had to be fixed as well. There is always space for improvement :-)
Very good experience
John was very good at spotting all animals at that made our experience a very authentic one.

Very quick to answer our questions, the programm was what they promised.
We did a 6 days safari through Masai Mara + Nakuru + Navaisha + Amboseli for 6 days. We were a group of 3 friends and we joined a family, the vibes were super nice. This route takes long time on the road through bumpy roads so be aware of that before you book it. For us it was part of the adventure and loads of fun!
The camps/hotel where we slept had good conditions, the employers were nice and the food was good specially at Manjaro Camp.
Our guide was Leroy Mkok. We were so lucky to do it with him: he antecipated everything, was amazing, very knowledgeable, flexible and patient. He did his absolute best for us to see the animals (we were lucky to see the big 5) and explained a lot of interesting things about them, and also about Kenya and its culture. Hey had a very good English and answered our all questions with interest.
Good value for our money. We highly recommend it!

We saw it all! (minus a leopard)
7 day safari Maasai Mara-Lake Nakuru-Lake Navaisha- Hells Gate-Amboseli.
A great safari choice! Jocky was helpful and accommodating from the booking process thru the end of the 7 day safari.
Be ready to sit in the car for most of the safari. No matter what safari company you choose… buckle up. We drove at least 1,200 km in 7 days. But it’s totally worth it to see everything. I promise.
We loved the itinerary that Jocky offered. All the parks are so different from each other so the change of scenery every day or two was perfect. I also loved the stop in hell’s gate. It was nice to be able to get out of the car, stretch your legs and walk/bike around and enjoy the scenery. The lodging we were given each night was also very nice. For a budget accommodation package we received amazing food and hospitality. We stayed at Lenchada Tourist Camp, Buraha Zenoni Hotel, Chambai Safari Hotel, and Manjaro tented camp. At Lenchada and manjaro camps we were supposed to stay in tents but got upgraded to rooms since it’s the low season and they were unoccupied. So that’s a positive about going in the low season.
Last but not least I cannot thank my driver enough!!! Joseph, you were such a lovely and knowledgeable host. Joseph’s 10 years of experience really showed, he knew these parks like the back of his hand. Joseph knew all the spots to find the big 5. He was able to get us multiple lion, rhino, and cheetah sightings. (You’ll see the rest of the animals no problem). Joseph could spot a rhino laying in the bush from 300 yards away. It blew my mind. Unfortunately we did not spot a leopard but that just gives us an excuse to come back! So close to seeing the big 5!!
Our visit in November was during the low season and we were lucky to not receive any rain on our game drives. I can’t imagine what it’s like to witness Kenya in the peak of summer or during the great migration.
I highly recommend a Kenya Safari,
I highly recommend Joseph,
I highly recommend Jocky Safari
Pro tip: do some research on animals you are going to see. It makes the game drives so much more interesting and you learn what to look for. For example, black rhinos are often in pairs so if you see one there’s probably another close by. Example 2, male antelope herds are far more susceptible to becoming prey. So if you see a male herd, keep your eyes peeled for a big cat looking for dinner. Sorry for the long review, I hope this helps. I’ve traveled to 25 countries and this was by far the coolest experience I’ve ever had.

The best jungle style guided tour with David
The tour guide David was super funny and accommodating, he had great knowledge of the Masai Mara area and provided us with a great safari experience. The lodge was very clean and food was delicious. We heard animals during the night and enjoyed chatting with Masai Mara people by the fire.
