Amazing safari and tour guide
My 5 stars is for 4 day Masai Mara, Nakuru and Naivasha tour rather than the 5 day option which I did as :
From the time of booking initially, then having to change dates due to an emergency, until Moses left me in Naivasha for the 5th day, everything was perfect.
+++ great communication, very polite and caring staff (in the office, the drivers, the guide, helpers), amazing tour guide that looked after us well and made sure we saw the Big 5 and many more.
Accommodation in Mara was at Shankale Camp which was clean and welcoming - if they can fix the water pipes, this will be great campsite. Other hotels we stayed at were good - clean, good food.
I fully recommend the 4 day tour with Jocky Tours and Moses as a tour guide - very good value and great experience.
However, I did the 5 day option with visit to Hells Gate which I think can be skipped unless one wants to see the Gorge and thermal powerplant.
My recommendation is to:
- book directly through Jocky Tours on Safaribookings and do not go through agents
- verify how many people on tour with you and that it is the Jocky Tour staff taking care of you throughout the tour.

Amazing experience
I really enjoyed safari, we saw so many animals and birds. Driver was very friendly and helpfull, hotells/camping were nice.

Amazing experience!
We’ve done a safari during christmas and the experience has been amazing. Our driver John (papa) was very helpful all the time and very friendly. He did all days the best for the group and we really appreciate it. We recommend the experience 100%. Thank you!

They were very attentive and flexible in handling any accidents, allowing me to have a comfortable.
Since it was my first safari tour, I had some worries, but our cheerful guide, Kitutu, created a friendly atmosphere, and I was able to enjoy the trip from start to finish. I’m also grateful to Jockey Tours for kindly answering all my repeated questions. Although there were animals we couldn’t see due to the season, it was still an incredibly exciting experience.
One thing, though, which may be unavoidable, is that the drive from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara Reserve seemed to take too long (I feel we could have arrived at least an hour earlier).
In any case, it was a wonderful experience with safety and peace of mind guaranteed. Thank you very much!

Best guide we could ever ask for and amazing tour!
I went on a safari with my family, 2 of them being my parents who are seniors. I could not imagine having a more smooth, fun, safe, and enjoyable experience than the one we had with Dennis and Jocky Tours. Everything was perfect and we truly have no complaints! Best tour guide I’ve ever had, Dennis, you’re amazing!
One of my bucket list items has been to go to a safari in Kenya! My daughter fulfilled this dream wish and couldn’t have done it in a better way with a better tour experience and guide than Dennis! He was amazing and showed us the Big 5 and the Ugly 5. He was so kind, attentive, drove so well, and we felt so well cared for the entire trip. Best tour and guide of our lives, unforgettable!
Our guide Dennis went above and beyond for us! He really is an amazing person. On our tour we were able to see the Big 5 and the Ugly 5! He went out of his way to give us an amazing experience that was truly unforgettable. He was so kind to our family and made sure to spot animals along our journey, take pictures for us, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Best tour guide ever and most amazing safari!
Dennis was our tour guide and truly he was the best guide we could ever dream of! We got to see all the Big 5 and the Ugly 5! He spotted all the animals for us, was thorough, kind, considerate, caring, and attentive. We loved everything and the food, lodges, everything was top notch! Rodger is an incredible guide who will get you right next to every animal before everyone else!
This tour is the best value for money I’ve ever come across. All meals are included and tasty, the 4x4 is very comfortable no matter what seat you’re in (my friend and I tried them all), and timing is reliable. The park is packed with animals so you’ll definitely see so many amazing creatures but our guide made the whole experience for us. Rodger was clearly very experienced from the moment we began. In the park he got us to so many locations to see lions, elephants, leopards, the list goes on and on. We were always one of the first people at each location and his driving skills are unmatched. I have already booked a second tour with him to Amboseli!!
