5 Beautiful Days in Kenya with Jocky Tours
We had the greatest experience booking through Jocky. Having selected a 5 days Safari Package covering Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara we were excited for what was in store for us and they did not disappoint. There were a few hiccups with the office co-ordination and the route mapped out for us which I would have done differently but all in all it was well worth it.
Francis, our tour guide was extremely warm and made us feel comfortable at once. Having seen his father do this as a kid and taking over from him, he was just the ideal person we needed for our 5 day adventure. All along our journey we kept bombarding him with different sorts of questions and he had all our answers along with some very fascinating stories ready for us. He went out of the way to accomodate our request of getting a different camera lens and ensured we had what we wanted before we got to Masai Mara. He has a great knack of being at the right place at the right time resulting in us having got to see it all. We spotted not just the Big 5 but the Super 7 and more. He was well versed with the people and hands down the most endearing and friendly guide in Masai Mara. Everyone knew him and he knew everyone. Even though this was his gazillionth trip to the Mara he was as enthusiastic and excited as we were being there for the first time.
If you do happen to be visiting Kenya then Jocky is highly recommended and of course ask for Francis so you're trip can be as memorable as ours.

Unbelievable!
Thank you so much to Joshua, our driver, who made this safari trip so incredible! Joshua was so professional and helpful, he went above and beyond for all passengers and he was so passionate and knowledgeable about all of the wildlife. He knew all the good places and always got us the best views of wildlife without disturbing the animals. You can tell he loves and respects the animals and land.
The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the accommodation and some of the meals provided from hotels. Masai and Amboseli accommodation was lovely but the hotels in Nakuru and Naivasha were slightly uncomfortable and had many mosquitoes in the rooms. Just bring your bug spray or upgrade your hotel for an additional fee if this might bother you!

They were very professional and obviously very experienced. Our tour guide Albert was awesome
Right from our communication via email to getting to Kenya they kept us updated on the plan and itinerary. Our guide Albert was exceptional. His knowledge of the park, the animals was very vast and his ability to meander through the park to get us a better view. Thanks to Albert we saw so much more than other people.

Fantastic experience from start to finish
I received this tour as a birthday gift and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Our driver Solomon was excellent, he alone added a lot of extra value!
Our group was 7 people and we were picked up promptly on the first day in Nairobi, and driven a scenic route to Masai Mara including a pitstop to see the stunning views at Rift Valley. First evening was a 3 hour game drive at sunset followed by an early morning wake up call on day , for a 12 hour game drive experience. Our driver was amazing at spotting animals that 9/10 people would not see, and had interesting facts and stories of all wildlife with a great knowledge in regards to the history of the park. He fielded all of our many questions with ease !
All meals were included with price but lunch on day 2 was the highlight - a lovely picnic in the middle of the reserve which in itself was a once in a life time experience. Also unlimited bottled water was included which added to the value !
Final morning consisted of a sunrise hike with many different viewpoints of the entire park followed by a tour of Maasai village by locals, which was certainly eye opening. From here, we set off back to a Nairobi, a safari tour bus full of people sitting in mostly silence as we all contemplated and took in what an amazing experience the previous 3 days had been. 11/10 couldn't recommend doing this enough.
Only feedback I would have is timings and having more visibility of how long some things would take so you prepare yourself i.e. sunrise hike was sold as 1 hour and ended up being 2.5 hours and many of us didn't bring water !
Great tour with lots of animal encounters
We had great time in Masai Mara and Amboselli. Parks are very different but both interesting and worth visiting! Thanks to our guide Dickson we saw many wild animals up close! He was also great communicator and made sure everyone had fun and took all the photos they needed.
Highly recommended.

Great budget option
Great trip with abundance of wild life sightings. Accomodation was ok, bathrooms and showers available at each stay. Our guide Dickson was very knowledgeable, with sharp eye sight. He shared with us a lot about animal behavior we did not know. Thanks to him we were able to see the big five and much more.

Attentive
Jimmy was excellent. Not only did he do a great job of finding a ton of animals on the safari and providing insights for each, he also really took care of us. I fell I'll during the safari and he was incredibly attentive.

Great service at an amazing value
This is my second time using this tour company.
You will not find better service from any other operator in the Masai ( or other parks). The guides are extremely professional, very knowledgeable and attentive to both the wildlife and the clients.
Before transitioning to "private" with John, I was with a group for 1 full day in the Mara. The group was able to see 4 out of the Big 5, missing only the rhino. Though we missed seeing rhino, we did have a gorgeous male Lion cozy up to our front passenger tire.
NO ONE can guarantee your seeing the Big 5, for example. It takes luck and a skilled guide. You will have a very skilled driver, and luck is the residue of careful planning.
IF you can afford to go privately,by all means do so. Albert, Issac and John are all exceptional as both drivers and eagle eye guides. John did an outstanding job of giving me the best viewing ( photographic) opportunities with my personal quest, cheetah cubs.
I was not disappointed. If you choose Jockey Tours, you won't be either.

a beautiful 7-day Safari
Big kudos to Jockey Tours and especially to our safari guide and driver James! Jockey was the only safari agency (and we requested many) to send us a detailed itinerary of the safari in advance. The contact with Jockey was smooth, courteous and professional. We paid $100 USD in advance and the rest on the spot in Nairobi at the Jockey Tours office. We had chosen a 7-day safari (Masai Mara, Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Hells Gate, Amboseli) in a small (up to 8-person) group with the 4x4 jeep - and the decision was absolutely right, because the different national parks differ not only in the animals you encounter there, but also show you how incredibly diverse and breathtaking the beauty of nature in Kenya is. While Masai Mara is like a steppe, Nakuru is a green oasis at a lake that reminded us of a jungle. Hells Gate shows itself as a canyon and in Amboseli there is a swamp area at Lake Amboseli where birds and of course a myriad of flamingos find their home. Our guide James did an absolute TOP job. He was able to give us a lot of knowledge about the animals as well as about the vegetation and background of the parks. His first words were: "On the next 7 days we are a family and I am the Mom & Dad" - and that's exactly how it felt, like a great family trip with a multinational group with whom we all got along wonderfully, laughed a lot and gained great impressions. In addition, James and his colleagues at Jockey helped us with further travel planning and ticket booking for the train from Nairobi to Mombasa - free of charge!
From us therefore a 5 out of 5 rating and we unconditionally recommend Jockey Tours and James!
