Once in a life time experience
4/5

Our experience was excellent. From the beginning the communication with Erick was quick and he answered all my questions. The itinerary was followed perfectly and our experience was amazing. Next time I would probably skip lake Nakuru. The trip was too long for the time we spent in there. The guide was ok, I would have liked a bit more explanations though. Overall, Masai Mara exceeded our expectations and having done it with Jocky Tours allowed us to enjoy it a lot.
Apart from the safari, we did a city tour in Nairobi as soon as we landed. The driver was waiting for us on time, and the last day they dropped us at the airport.

I had a really great safari experience with Jocky tours. We were very lucky to get close to animals and had some great photos. Many thanks to driver Martin, he was great.

Jocky Tours - Very Good Value Budget Tour
4/5

After a lot of search for Budget Tours to Masai Mara, I chose Jocky Tours .I chose their 3 day Masai Mara Tour. I chose them because they were the cheapest tours available. I kept my expectations low. On Day one, We were picked up from a residence in Nairobi around 8am and was driven in a Toyota Van. The Van driver / Guide was an amazing driver. The roads in Masai Mara are a bit treacherous as they get very muddy during rain. Van is not a four wheel drive and one has to be an expert in driving in those conditions. We got to Masai Mara around 4pm and was immediately taken around for an evening game drive. Next day it was a full day game drive. On day three we left for early morning game drive and then headed back to Nairobi.
The Van: There was lot of mud in the seat. The tour company should clean up the van very well before picking up the guests.
The Camp accommodation: We stayed in a tent. It was clean, It had comfortable beds , mosquito nets. Electricity is available only for 4 hours between 6pm and 10pm and for about 3 hours in the morning. In night it is pitch dark. One should carry lights. The water in the camp is horrible. We were forced to skip shower for couple of days. Buy big can of drinking water from outside.

The Guide: The guide hardly spoke about the geography, the animals etc. However he showed all sorts of animals including a leopard which is hard to spot. All the drivers have radio and many tour operators share the information about animals with each other. The guy was very brave. He parked the van very close to cheetahs, lions as if he was parking them close to a dog. We infect took a selfie with a lion.

Food: Food was okay.

Great animals and sights!
4/5

I took the five day tour and had companions on the standard 3-days to Maasai Mara and was by myself for the last 2 days. Of course, Maasai Mara was wonderful (the optional visit to the Maasi village is highly recommended.). The intriguing part of the trip is Hell's Gate national park where you can bike and hike, a pleasant change from being in the van. Nothing like riding right by giraffes crossing the path! Yo kinda have to go with the flow. I'd recommend bring along some sealed snacks.

An excellent trip with friendly people and good service.
4/5

The Safari was excellent and our driver was both knowledgable and an excellent driver. We saw a lot, enjoyed the company and had a very fun trip. We were picked up close to the advertised time and dropped off even before the scheduled time. We had plenty of food and loved eating lunch with the giraffe. Our camp was neat and clean with meals on time and quite tastey. We would use jockytours again.

One of the reliable safari operator in Nairobi Kenya
5/5

I have joinned with Jocky Tours and Safaris by 2times in Massai mara(Nakuru/Amboseli) and done 2times private safari in Sampure/ Sweatwator and Amboseli since June 2012. Last time I have experienced the safari with Jocky Tours and Safaris was in Feburary 2016 this year. This time I had to go to Arusha Tanzania and have
tried this private safari in Amboseli and finish safari in Namanga border tranfering to the shuttle to Arusha.
Jocky Tours and thier driver have doned this iternary as I have talked with Minneh in advance by E-mail.

First of all , Jocky is Minneh 's company who is a founder of this company and her husband Alex who is also
a very nice man with always smile and warm heart is now doing a car service company in Nairobi to help
us foreigners to visit a sightseeing places in Nairobi.
Not only the Jocky's founder Minneh 's continous efforts but also thier familiar atmoshere in her staffs in this company are the my impressive points in this company. I have been able to remember thier each faces and names even now in Japan because most of all the staffs are no change even for almost 5years. This is same as thier safari guide and drivers in this company. I remember also their names in Jockys driver even if I could not designate the safari driver in advance.
Every time my safari driver in changed but their quality in safari guide and driving techniques are maintened more than the standard levels in this safari field.

I have been introduced Jocky's name by my Japanese friend and I have now explained by myself every time when I have chances to talk about Kenya/Tanzania safaris in Japan.

Last to mention is :; my English is not good but Jocky Minneh can understand my japanese English well
and this is my most important factor to select the safari company to start with safari planning. propriate
comunications and understanding thier rquests and backgroud each other is the most important even
their cost is not the cheepest. There is one japanese speaking woman in Jocky office who I have not yet met but this is also one of the familiar point for our japanese safari lovers in Japan.

So ,I strongly recommend Jocky Tours and Safaris in Nairobi Kenya among many safari companys there.
