Good value for money
4/5

James was an excellent guide, knowledgable and very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Value for money is also great, however communication around the new safari rules could have been better communicated.

People on the ground are devoted and do an amazing job
4/5

Though due to government hikes the programme was reduced (and office did not a good job communicating this and refused to accept that this business risk was theirs and not that of the customer), the tour itself could not have gone better. The camp was charmingly basic yet reliable, James our guide was a constant source of bubbly energy and knowledge (he knows his birds extremely well) and during the road trips everything was communicated timely and clear. A next time I would happily book again here. During the trip I never got the feeling that we were taken advantage of in a negative way or that shortcuts had been taken.

Our tour operator Jimmy is kind hearted, informative and friendly
4/5

Our tour operator jimmy ensured our well being was good by checking up on us during our rides. During our rides in the safari he enlightened us greatly on the nature of the wildlife in the safari and waited patiently for us as we took our photos. He also greatly informed us on Kenya itself and it’s people in terms of the current news

Best guide and driver
4/5

James was the best guide and driver we could hope for. Very social, explained about all the animals and knew where to find them.
The agency's planning was a little messy as they made some mistakes with our booking, and we're not the most efficient in schedule.
But after all it was amazing and we saw absolutely everything we wished and more.
Big shout out to James!

They are good n delivered what they promised
4/5

We had a great trip of Masai Mara with our driver/guide Mr. David Mwangi. He was knowledgeable and caring. I would say it was because of David we enjoyed the trip. He was patient when we went for the river crossing of the wildebeest and it’s because of his patience that we were able to witness the river crossing. If anyone wants to take a trip with Jocky Tours then i highly recommend David. 5 stars to David.

The Lenchada tourist camp is a basic place but workable as you are there for the wildlife. The electricity is there for a few hours in the morning n a few hours in the evening.

The hotels in Nakuru and Naivasha are also good, although I think Nakuru n Naivasha can be skipped. We travelled hours and hours from Masai Mara to Nakuru for just 60-90 minutes Safari. Go to Nakuru only if you really really want to see the Rhino.

I have given 4 stars because we were made to change SIX vehicles during our 5 nights trip. At one point I felt they were playing passing the parcel, with me being the parcel.

Overall we had a good trip n great sightings in Masai Mara. It would have been an excellent trip had we skipped Nakuru and Naivasha.

If I go again I would use jocky tours.

Functional
4/5

It's a good operator, they give what they say in their package pages. I did 3 days Maasai Mara safari tour with Isaac in September 2023 qnd he treated us well. Beware that water is not included with the meals at the camp so beware to take it with you from the car, there's plenty of it for anybody in the car. We saw almost all the animals we wanted in Maasai Mara, but beware that the park and especially its areas that are very close to the gates are indeed overly-touristic. It's a budget trip and a budget accomodation is provided but still the staff was kind and the premises we stayed at were good. The food is ok and there's also options for vegetarians.

Thank you Isaac for guiding us!

Very good safari, amazing experience with animals
4/5

The safari itself was very good, we got very close to the animals, lions in particular and I really enjoyed the experience. Our guide was John and he was excellent. I got a ride back to Nairobi with Jackson and he was also very nice and accomadating.
I can definitely recommend Jocky tours.
We stayed in the Lenchada tourist camp and it was OK. It was the budget option so I wasn't expecting anything fancy but I got put in a tent that you couldn't fully close both towards the outside and towards the bathroom. A big fly visited me.
And the mosquito net had quite a few holes. I should have let them know right in the beginning though, but still, they should take care that everything is at least properly working before people come. The others got proper tents though and the food ranged from okay to very good.
