An Amazing Safari
In 2013 my girlfriend and I decided to try something different for Christmas and booked a Safari with Msafiri Travels. It was a fantastic experience - we were flown to the Safari park on a tiny four-seat plane, where we were the only passengers. We were then met by the camp crew at the landing strip and taken to the camp, which was located right on the river shore nearby. The view was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the accommodation was better than I expected it to be in the middle of nowhere, away from civilization.
There were numerous tours available, on all of which we were the only passengers, so it really felt like a romantic getaway instead of the usual packed-beyond-recognition zoo experience. We were able to see all the animals we wanted and even get very close to some of them.
All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and felt like a real adventure, while still being a great couple's getaway.

Best of all safari holiday
We fly to Africa with friends almost every year. We visited Kenya, Uganda, northern Tanzania and southern Tanzania this year. We contacted several tour operators, but because we have demanding requirements, we were not satisfied with offers. Finally, we found Msafiri Travels. Very shortly, we had a program from them and were excited. Upon arrival at our hotel waiting for the owner Msafiri Travels, everything she explain us in detail and described. Safari was amazing, we had a great driver and cook. Accommodation on the banks of the River Ruaha is unforgettable, nature, Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Mikumi and Selous ...... Animals were anywhere near us, just wonderful. Just a pity that we have not seen hunting dogs, so next time :-) For us it was the best vacation and up again the next time we go to Africa, so only with this travel agency.

Wonderful trip Kenya/Tanzania
With my best friend, we had the chance to travel for 2 weeks to Kenya & Tanzania via Msafiri travel agency. It was simply a lifetime experience that we fully enjoyed. The trip itself was well organized and customized perfectly to what we were looking for.
Msafiri listened carefully to our expectations and came back with some proposals and after filtering them we finally agreed on one package.

We did a VERY last minute booking over Easter travelling with a three year old to Zanzibar. Our inquiry was handled very efficiently. The trip was very smoothly including transfer from the airport to the hotel and the hotel was fantastic for families. The trip was also excellent value for money.

Msafiri Travels organized us the trip of a lifetime! We had a fantastic Arusha-based guide, Charles Benjamin, who knows where to find wildlife, has great informative insights, and a great personality--which is a great asset when you are together for a multi-day safari. We saw every wild animal we imagined we might see with Charles's insightful leadership on a 7-day safari. We stayed in luxury tents, with bed, western toilet, showers and high-quality meals. The leopards, cheetahs, and hippos were most memorable. The rich array of birds in Serengeti was also a treat. The rough roads were made bearable by Charles's competent driving skills and underlined the fact you are in East Africa, removed from your normal world, experiencing the majesty of a sanctuary for wildlife. Msafiri and Charles were great communicators, and they were very responsive and willing to accommodate our interests--essential elements in making each day of this memorable week a true, unique treat. We highly recommend Msafiri to anyone seeking a personalized experience seeing bountiful wildlife with competent commentary.

A wonderful day at Ngormongoro Crater!
We had one extra day in Tanzania after a conference and wanted to make the most of it. We put together a day safari to the Ngorongoro Crater and it was a spectacular journey! Charles, our guide was really wonderful. He spoke English very well, took a lot of time to point out the different animals and explained a lot about the history of the area. He was very knowledgeable and patient. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and he knew she really wanted to see elephants so hunted around until he was able to find a great viewing spot for them that day. His pace was unhurried and his love for his job was evident. We LOVED our day at the crater with Charles. We hope to come back in a couple of years for a trip to the Serengeti and will definitely book it with Msafiri Travels.
Safari Njema in Selouz Game Reserve!
Msafiri Travels arranged 3 fascinating safari tours, a walking safari, a boat safari and a full day jeep safari. This safari-package provided a complete insight to explore the Savanna from three different perspectives.
We traveled from Zanzibar in the early morning to catch the first ferry going to Dar Es Salaam. Over there, our two tour guides from Msifiri Travels already waited for us to start the drive through Tanzania. After 5 hours drive, we arrived at our base, called the Hippo Camp, where we slept 2 nights in huge comfortable tents. We were provided with delicious full nutrition meals at breakfast and dinner and get abundant lunch packages on our tours during the days, to be ready to visit the home of lions, crocodiles, hippos, monkeys, elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and more.
The boat safari went on the Rufiji River, which is full of hippos hailing with their ears towards our boat. The crocodiles were more shy and hided quiet under the surface. After two hours boat drive, we went on a sand bank to look for the sunset. Back in the camp, our first safari day ended right next to a warming campfire. The next day started with a walking safari in the early morning accompanied by loud shoutings of monkeys. A tour guide in traditional decor taught us a lot about how to survive in the Savanna by using its natural resources, which can be found in the bush. We also saw a massive nest of termites that clear up the area. During our walk we were protected by a local ranger. After this safari, we get an extensive full breakfast at our camp, until the jeep safari started.
We passed the old German Mtemere Gate to enter the Selous Game Reserve, one of the largest faunal reserves of the world and the largest in Tanzania. With an area about 50,000 square kilometers it covers 5% of the total area of Tanzania. All of the big fives are living in this area and many other animals as well. We spend this day together with lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, gnus, and warthogs. While the lions were sleeping in the bush, we ate our lunch packages right next to the crocodile lake, watching elephants drinking water on the opposite shore, a really exciting experience for all of us.
After two full exciting and informative days of safari experiences, we were brought back to Dar Es Salaam and finally reached Zanzibar with a huge bunch of life-experience giving impressions.
