They've got you covered
Edison was on top of communication prior to the trip and Herbert went above and beyond during the trip and even after with my extra day in Entebbe and Kampala. (Wouldn't have been half as enjoyable with him.)

Honest and trustworthy company run by compassionate local people.
We made our last minute decision to book our Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking tour. We contacted 5 different tour organizers and chose Bamboo Ecotours! The reason that we decided on this tour operator was because the quote we received was precisely laid out and it was very easy to compare from budget to midrange price lodges and from a driving option to flying option. Edison gave us complimentary upgrade to Rushaga Gorilla Lodge! He was always on top of everything and explained to us thoroughly regarding our concerns of current COVID travel restrictions. He made sure everything would go smoothly. He also programmed our PCR tests in our itinerary so we could have the results back on time for our flight home. We arrived Uganda from Kenya on August 31 and the next morning, Herbert our guide picked us up from our hotel in Entebbe. Because of current travel restrictions, tour companies cannot pick up their clients from Rwanda and cross the border into Uganda so he had to drive out of his way (which we believe it was a long distance) to meet us in Entebbe. As soon as we met him, we got along very well. He has a sweet and friendly personality and is passionate about his profession. He speaks English fluently! He drove us from Entebbe to the trekking location, which was Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way via the equator crossing, we stopped for lunch. The buffet lunch was very nice. We loved the chicken soup, freshly squeezed passion fruit juice, and some local dishes. All of them were delicious! We wished we had stopped there one more time on our way back. The next morning we did gorilla trekking. The trekking took about only 2 hours, and we could see a family of Silverback, mom, siblings, and baby gorillas. My partner is 67 years old who has a pain in his abdomen and back resulted from his surgery two years ago, but he made it through with a help of a porter. It only costs $15 (before tip) and makes a huge difference! The porter was a young person from the community and he carried his backpack and took his hand to help him climb the steep up and down. After the trekking, Herbert took us to Batwa community where we took a tour around the village. Elias was the guide of this community. He was very passionate about his local community and help them raise funds for their necessities. The performance by the whole member of the village was very special. Chimpanzee trekking at Kalinzu Forest was another great experience. We could see and hear many chimpanzees and were able to take pretty close up videos as well. We even saw them walking on the trail paths. We can say that we recommend both of our lodges Rushaga Gorilla Lodge and Engiri Game Lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park. All of the staffs were very friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed our boat cruise at Kazinga channel. We came from Kenya and Tanzania before Uganda, but we saw nothing like this prior to Uganda because we had never seen the forest elephants by the lagoon with hippos surrounding on the lake. We saw so many hippos there. We already miss our guide Herbert! He picked our PRR COVID test results from the lab and took us back to the airport. He is an excellent guide with a kind heart. We recommend Bamboo Ecotours for everyone that is looking for a honest and trustworthy tour company in Uganda!

Excellent and complete service !
Traveling in these times has become an ordeal thus the importance to rely in trustworthy service providers.
Bamboo Ecotours and his owner, Edison, is just one of the few tour operators in this part of the world that combine quality, fair prices, overall care, kindness, patience and , most important, making you feel safe.
From selecting the “right” suppliers to accommodating dates and changes, having exceptional guides, taking care of travel related COVID assistance and being one step ahead of my needs.
Congratulations to Edison and his team, in particular, my very careful and knowledgeable driver - guide Fred !
Thanks !!!

Incredibly responsive to all inquiries, excellent organization
If I could award a rate higher than 'excellent' I surely would.
Bamboo Safari manager Edison was incredibly responsive, answering every e-mail the same day it was sent. He put together a 7 day adventure with mountain gorillas, chimpanzee trekking, river cruising, overland safaris, bush flights to several parks, great lodges, especially Kwringa Gorilla Mountain lodge. Our patient and expert guide, Fred persevered over some difficult terrain in a sturdy Toyota Landcruiser. Best of all and compared to other safaris, Fred came to every meal and entertained us as opposed to being relegated to some 'staff' table.
We found Uganda safe, the people excessively friendly, and the children wonderful.
Finally, photos and film cannot possibly do justice to the magnificence of the mountain gorillas. 'Awesome'

Absolutely trustworthy
We had a 12 day tour of Uganda with Bamboo Ecotours. The company adapted to our wishes, answered all our questions before we started and managed to give us an unforgettable experience.
Godfrey was our tour guide and we were very happy with him. He is from Uganda and gave us a lot of information about his home country, the animals, people etc. The tour was very professionally organised and we felt very well looked after! Thank you very much!

I booked a last moment private tour in Mgahinga NP with Bamboo ecotour. They are very responsive (Edison answers within hours) and flexible, everything went well as planned. I recommend them if you want to discover the Kisoro area, as they know everything (and everyone) around there!

Exceptional Service from a Company that Cares
Gorilla trekking has always been a high priority on my bucket list. My friend and I began our research for a trip to Uganda in October. After corresponding with several companies it was obvious that Edison, the owner of Bamboo Ecotours Ltd., was the first person to go above and beyond answering every question (and there were many) that we put forth. He suggested we search for the best price for airfare and he would then suggest our itinerary. He did not disappoint ! A major hurdle at the beginning of the trip necessitated overnighting in Amsterdam as our flight from Newark was delayed by three hours to Brussels. We were delayed by one day and Edison managed to rearrange the complete trip. Just the task of moving permits for the Gorilla trek was a huge task not to mention our three other treks or hotel accommodations.
Finally arriving a day late and standing in line at lost baggage for over one and a half hours our adventure was to begin. As luck would have it the lost bag contained clothing I had sent to bring to the Batwa Village so my personal items were with me. Edison to the rescue again. When the bag finally arrived four days later he retrieved the bag from the airport and managed to deliver it to us along the route.
Everything from this point on can only be described as magical.
From the time we met our driver Fred at the airport to the night he returned us luggage and gifts in tow he stood by until we had passed through the strict Covid testing procedure. The company scheduled our test and made sure we were taken to the sight. Just one of the many gestures that made the experience stress free.
From trekking to see Rhinos, Gorillas, Chimpanzees and the most beautiful Golden Monkeys in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (where the Gold meets the Silver) every day was a new and exciting adventure. Safari drives, boat cruises and excursions by canoe to the Mabamba wetlands to discover the elusive Shoebill. When we weren’t accompanied by a ranger our driver Fred was an excellent spotter and pointed out so many wonderful bird species as well as wildlife. The first beautiful view of 1/1/2022 over Lake Mutanda with the mist topping Mount Muhabura, Mount Sabyinyo and Mount Gahinga will forever be
etched in my memory.
Every thing Bamboo Ecotours Ltd. promised was delivered and more so much more. Thank you so much Edison and Fred. The people of Uganda are gentle and welcoming. This was my fourth trip to Africa and I have to say do not miss a chance to visit Uganda - “The Pearl of Africa”.

All encompassing
I have always wanted to trek to see the gorillas, and Bamboo Ecotours made that dream possible. I had looked at several companies, but Edison, the owner, was the only person who responded quickly and was able to answer all of my questions. He was even more amazing when my friend and I missed the connecting flight to Entebbe and arrived a day late. Edison was able to change all of the accommodations by a day. My only regret is that I didn't realize that I could have customized the tour a bit more. I would recommend spending an extra day at Lake Bunyonyi, as we didn't have time to explore the lake. Plus, it would have been nice to have a day to relax a bit. We had upgraded to the moderate accommodations which were wonderful, many with fantastic views. We were provided way too much food though, and I noticed that they catered for vegetarians. Fred, our driver, was great and was willing to accommodate whatever we needed. The appropriate Covid testing was arranged for our trip home, which was much appreciated. As for Uganda...what a fantastic country! I had no idea that it would be so beautiful and have so much to offer. I was amazed at the number of animals and birds that we saw, and I was pleased that the insects seemed to be at a minimum. I would love to go back and see some of the museums and visit some of the birding areas. If and when I do, it will be with Bamboo Ecotours!
