A dream come true for us, amazing gorilla trek and trip around Uganda & Rwanda
We booked a 4-day tour with Bamboo Ecotours with the following itinerary: Kigali-Lake Kivu-Gorilla Trek @ Bwindi-Kisoro Coffee Tour. It was a big group of 7 of us, and we are really satisfied with the company and its staffs and definitely recommend booking a similar experience with them. Our guide/driver was Fred and he's been super kind and informative. The hotels that we are staying too have been incredible, and the highlight is our 2-night stay with Gorilla Leisure Lodge: super attentive and friendly staffs, and the warmer on the bed just really made our day.

Excellent Gorilla and chimp trekking tour
A fantastic 4 day trip with Bamboo Ecotours with gorilla and chimp trekking! Everything was so well organised with Edison quickly responding to my various options for gorilla trekking dates. Amanya was an excellent guide - very funny, engaging and clearly loves introducing us to his country. Will definitely start planning the next trip..

Everything you can asked for during your visit to Uganda-Rwanda.
Bamboo Ecotours exceeded our expectations during our tour. From the very beginning, when planning our trip, Edison responded to our emails promptly. He also showed us the different accommodation options they offer and was very helpful with the visa process, staying in constant contact via WhatsApp and email.
A week before our trip, Edison shared the name of our tour guide, which made us feel safe and prepared. Jackson, our guide, was the best we could have asked for. We arrived at Kigali airport and drove all the way to Uganda for our first stay. Along the way, Jackson pointed out many interesting insights about Kigali, and we even had a coffee stop (by the way, you have to try African coffee!).
On our second day, Jackson took us to Bwindi National Park, where we met our trekking group. One thing we loved about the gorilla trekking, besides the gorillas themselves, is that it wasn’t crowded. Groups are split between 8 to 10 people, and each group visits a different gorilla family. This way, the gorillas don’t experience too much human interaction, and the experience feels more personal. From the moment you see your first gorilla, the one-hour time limit begins. We were accompanied by the guide, two park rangers, and there’s also an option to hire someone to help carry your belongings.
After this, we went to our next hotel (which had incredible views of Lake Buyonyi) and enjoyed an amazing night.
I just want to take a moment to thank both Jackson and Edison from Bamboo Ecotours for giving us the best experience.

An unforgettable experience
Bamboo Eco Tours was really professional and organised from the start. Edison was very quick to answer ALL and many of my questions and so quickly. Being two young females in a foreign country we were nervous however he made us feel really safe and assured.
Our tour guide Herbert was amazing! Such a humble person always with a smile on his face and always happy to answer all of our questions, the guy was probably tired of our questions by the end, but we had lots of fun together. The tour was such an awesome experience. We did the 3 days Queen Elizabeth NP, chimp trekking (Kalinzu) and gorilla trekking (Mgahinga). The tour and accomodation we chose, Buffalo lodge and Lake Mutanda was incredible, we would recommend doing it in 4-5 days so you have time to relax at the accomodation, we felt we were in a little rush as there was a lot of driving to do to get from 1 park to the other not the guides fault however.
We learnt so much and had such an unforgettable experience.
Thank you Bamboo Eco Tours

Herbert was amazing
We had a amazing time and bamboo ecotours were great. Edison in the office was incredible at communication with me and at one point I changed all the dates and he did it no worries. Herbert our tour guide was wonderful informative and went out of his way for us, many times. We could not be happier with the service from bamboo ecotours. Amy Paul

Outstanding!!! Truly Recommend
From start to Finish, Bamboo Ecotours was very professional.
Edison answered all my questions in a very timely manner and made me feel comfortable, with no pressure at any time.
I took my parents and my kids to see the Gorillas, and the experience went smoothly. Herbert (our driver) was amazing!
We met a group that arrived to see the Gorillas but did not have their permits (the company they used did not buy them and vanished).
YOU CAN TRUST Bamboo Ecotours, and on top of that, they were amazing to deal with.
Edison is the owner who communicates with you and request Herbert as your tour guide.

Perfection!
We had an amazing experience with Bamboo Ecotours. From the moment I contacted Edison to the moment that our driver Jackson dropped us at the airport on the last day everything was perfection. Edison is easily the best tour operator I have ever used, very friendly, helpful and extremely responsive. Jackson continued with this great service, he was friendly, kind and very knowledgeable. He was also a very safe driver and the vehicle was very comfortable. Uganda is a beautiful country full of wonderful people and a stunning countryside. Everything on our tour was organised perfectly. All our activities exceeded our expectations, we will never forget our game drives, the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, our Chimp and Golden Monkey treks and of course the Gorilla experience which is hard to put into words. All the lodges we selected with the guidance of Edison were wonderful (Elephant Hub, Rushaga Gorilla Camp and Mutunda Lake Resort). Would highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours! Reach out to Edison and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience and amazing tour guide
My husband and I did the 3 day Gorilla Trek and Golden Monkeys, starting and finishing in Kigali.
We have been so impressed with this tour. The lodgings and the experiences themselves far exceeded our expectations.
Our lodging (Rushaga Gorilla Lodge) was fantastic. The location was beautiful and the staff were so lovely and helpful.
All of the guides, trackers and support people involved in the treks were brilliant.
Our highest regard goes to our tour guide, Jackson. We are so thankful that he was assigned to us. His local knowledge was amazing. He went above and beyond for us, specially catered to our interest in trying local food and could answer any question we could possibly think of. He made us and our belongings feel very safe and secure at all times. In addition, he was such a friendly and nice man who absolutely made this trip even more spectacular.
Thank you so much Jackson, and Bamboo Ecotours.

Best Gorilla Trekking Experience and more
Edison was absoluely amazing in organizing the perfect 10+ experience from Rwanda to Uganda tour for 6 of us. Logistics and itinerary of this trip was efficient and so perfect that we also rate it 5 star+ Our guide Freddy is best in class, knowledgeable, caring and safe. He picked us up in the 1-year new Safari truck at the Kigali Fourpoint Sheraton--which is also a great pick-up point and hotel. All the food and accommodations exceeded our expectations, clean, comfortable and delicious. We had absolutely the most amazing time and thought a need to post great reviews for so other travelers may benefit from visiting Rwanda and Uganda with the best travel company possible so they can enjoy the best possible experience. It was truly the treat of a lifetime to visit the Rwanda and Uganda. Bamboo Ecotour is very good and they deserve 6-star or 7-star. All the Gold Monkey, Gorilla, Chimpanzee and cultural experience are must-see. We can not thank enough or say enough good things about Edison and Freddy and this tour.
Thank You Thank You and Thank You!!!

I wish there are more stars to rate and give to them!!
Since the beginning we contacted Edison, he has been very responsive and provided valuable and truthful information to help us make decisions about this tour... especially related to the accommodations and costs. The design and delivery of the itinerary is also the best in class. Our driver guide Fred speaks good English and is clam, patient, easy going and drive safely. Every time we got back into the 7-passenger safari truck, there is always a bottled water waiting for us in our seats. And the truck even has charging outlets for each passenger. Fred is also very observant and proactively helps us work with the national parks so we could have a shorter hike to see the gorillas. We had a fabulous time for this once in a lifetime experience!! We definitely recommend our family and friends to go with Edison and team coming to Rwanda-Uganda 👍👍
