Knowledgeable, communicative
4/5

Migration Venture Africa was very communicative, and they offered a good value for money in their offer. We initially compared a few and went for MVA as they had the number of days we wanted (5 days). The driver/guide picked us up in a clean car with water, we had a great introduction about the days ahead and we went off. The first two days were lovely, a lot of information was shared about the surroundings and habitat of animals, which I love because I'm a curious person. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti 2 days, Ngorongoro and lake Manyara. The days are intense but well organized, there's always water and lunches are good. Noel is a great guy and very knowledgeable, just ask him whatever you want to know. We stayed in Octagon Lodge, which was OK and the staff is lovely (they have the best Swahili samosas). However, in Serengeti we stayed at Baobab and that exceeded our expectations - lodged camps were luxurious, the food was good, there was a campfire with an amazing view on Serengeti and the sunset, I wouldn't mind to come back to this one. We were lucky to see the big 5 quite soon which also of course sets the tone. And we did the hot air balloon, which is a unique experience, however in hindsight it's more interesting to do it when the big migration is happening. For me Ngorongoro made the biggest impression because it's the versatile nature (lake, mountains, clouds, lush trees here and there) combined with mixed wildlife living together (all except for giraffes, and rhinos if you're lucky to see them). Lake Manyara was OK but I wouldn't go back, we saw there elephants and lions but as it's the nature you have to be lucky (which we were!). For all others - Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoror - amazing destinations! On the way from Ngorongoro to Serengeti you'll be passing by an archeological site (Laetoli footprints) which is worth a check. I'm blessed by this safari experience and we ended our holidays on the beach in Zanzibar.

Very nice operator I can recommend!
4/5

I can definitely recommend the safari tour! The landscape is amazing and you can see a lot of animals. We lost our baggage at flight and got it two days later. Migration Venture was very helpful in coordination to get it back at airport. Unfortunately because of the delay of the luggage we had to make a different route and had to pay 100 USD extra to Migration Venture which was okay for us. Our guide was very nice and as it was a fully private tour we were quite flexible.

Wonderful safari with Noely
4/5

Very nice 5 day/4 night safari thanks to our guide Noely, who knows where to find the animals. The accommodations were very good. We were amazed in each of the 4 parks, especially at Gerenti. The only problem is the lack of a French-speaking guide, just a not very efficient guide/translator! But the main thing was to see all these felines (numerous lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes...) in very good conditions. Thanks again to Noely

Good services
4/5

We choose Migration venture for a safari after a week of climbing Kilimandjaro with them. A friend of mine recommends this company at the beginning. It was cheaper with other tour and the service was good. They made a mistake with our departure date but everything was modified very quickly. Our guide Bonnie was really sociable, kind and always smiling. He paid attention at everything to make these days perfect and unforgettable for us. Thanks for everything! It was a pleasure to make this safari with you.

Thanks!

We had the best time on our safari, our guide josez was really friendly and we saw so many animals
4/5

We did the 6 day safari and saw so many animals, up close as well. Tour guide josez was really friendly and helped us spot lots of animals, especially the ones we particularly wanted to see. He was always punctual and accommodating. Food and lodges were really nice, Josez always provided water. Nice vehicle too. Our guide sorted out all our documents in between parks really quickly, so overall a really smooth and enjoyable safari

SAFARI? HABARI!
4/5

Just returned from an exciting private Safari with Migration Venture.
Denis is a dynamic young tour guide with an excellent sight able to spot animals from miles...4 on 5 of the bigs!!!
Also from Lake Natron to Olduvai Gorge we could rely on the support of other local guides very knowledgeable regarding flora and fauna copiously present all around us.
Tented accommodations are an absolute must if you truly want to experience the authentic safari, especially in the Serengeti, and game drives quite exciting!

Thank you Migration Venture, I had an incredible birthday celebration!

Fantastic place for a safari, with a frindly guide!
4/5

We have been on a 6 days, 5 nights safari and saw all the animals we wished for! We booked our safari months in advance. The initial communication was fast and smooth. After the first payment is was a bit difficult to get a confirmation. All in all the communication before the safari was ok, but it was not always fast and clear.

About our guide I can only be very positive: Bonny was professional, helpful and listened to our wishes, even when we didn't explicitly told him. Two friends of ours decided to join our safari and were avid bird-watchers. Bonny catered to their wishes as well. The driving he did was solid and safe.

About the car: it brought us everywhere, but compared to most of the other vehicles around us this seemed to be an older model. Apart from a cracked windhield and a window that could be barely opened, it was also not possible to use the charging stations in the car itsself. The armrests were not functioning at its best as well. So for the four of us (reasonable fit people in their thirties) these were not big issues.
I have material for comparison since the other couple did another safari in the South right after this and also my parents were on a safari a week later. It's best to ask questions about the vehicle beforehand.

About the lodges: most of them were good. The Kankari lodge on the first day stood out, this was luxureous. The same goes for the Ngorongoro forest tented lodge. The Tukaone Serengeti Camps has two campsites, our guide told us that in the park you get assigned a place. What we did not like was that we had to wait an hour at the entrance of the Serengeti because something was wrong with our permit. It was all resolved, but when you pay this amount of money you expect this to be arranged accordingly. We missed an opportunity for a sunset because of it. The octagon Lodge was our least favorite, it didn't live up to our expectations considering the first two lodges.

All in all we've had a great time in all the national parks, and I would totally reccomend doing a 6 day safari! And if you decide to go with Migration Venture Africa it will be a delight to go with Bonny!

Professional, well organized, and honest.
4/5

We undertook the climb of Kilimanjaro but due to illness could not complete the endeavor. We felt that the entire team was supportive and protective. Both Yusef and Ruta, guides extraordinaire, did yoeman's work to guarantee we were safe. We did discuss with Amos (director) that the tip system is cumbersome and unclear and awkward with all potential beneficiaries in close proximity. It also requires carrying large sums of cash for an extended period. Credit cards and a simple percentage up front would be much simpler. I would gladly have accepted the 3% cc surcharge.
