Everything just as expected or better
Evertything went very well, from the booking to the trip. Jackson is a really trustful guide, drives very well and knows the parcs and reserves just like his pockets. The accomodations were stilysh and comfortable. The only thing is that maybe we could have split the trip from Masai Mara to Nairobi in 2 steps as doing so in just one shot is pretty long (>8 hours).
Other than I would higly recommend Tekko Tours.
Bravi davvero!

Amazing Safari Trip, Great Guide
We booked customized private 5-days Safari tour (Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru). Maggie was very helpful and respond quickly to my mails when planning out trip. The price is very reasonable compare to other tour operators. The safari experience was perfect and it was beyond our expectations thanks to our guide Jackson. He did his best to show us the wildlife close as possible. He gave us lots of information about animals, wildlife, national parks and Kenya. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. I think the guide is the key element of Safari experience. And we were lucky that we had Jackson as a guide. I strongly recommend Tekko Tours and especially Jackson for your Safari journeys.

Professional Tour Company
When we decided to book a 14 day trip to Kenya we did a lot of research and had a good idea about what we wanted to see and where to stay. We were very fortunate to make contact with Maggie Kariuki at Tekko Tours and we were very impressed from day one. Maggie was very prompt in her communication and we thought she added extra value to our ideas and gave us other options to consider. Maggie was always very professional and patient whilst we were finalising our plans. Making payments from the UK to Tekko Tours Bank in Nairobi was very straightforward and secure. Upon arrival in Nairobi at 5am Maggie was at the airport to greet us along with Stephen who was to be our guide and driver for the duration if our trip. We spent our first day in and around Nairobi, firstly with Maggie on a walking tour in the city and then later in the day Stephen drove us further afield. After a night in the Crowne Plaza, Upper Hill, which was a very good overnight stay, Stephen picked us up early the next morning to begin our Safari experience which included 8 different parks. Our vehicle was a Land Cruiser and was perfect for us, we did experience a few problems which affected the speed we were able to travel and probably caused a few small delays in arriving at our destinations, a minor point however as Stephen always rectified the problems and to be honest these vehicles work very hard in the conditions so it's no surprise if issues arise. Stephen is a very professional and safe driver which is the most important aspect of travelling such long distances.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Tekko Tours and would most definitely use their services again. Thank you.

Great organization with a super tour guide (Jackson)
Me and my wife arranged our safari only in Masai Mara in order to see the wild life and not to spend our time traveling other locations for 6 nights and 2 different hotels. Maggie was very helpful and responsive in the process of arranging every single detail of our safari. For me, the most important thing in the safari is the guide/driver, what you are going to see is in his hands. Jackson was our guide and I think he is the best. He understands the animal behavior, always listens the radio talks from other guides and always know where and how the animal goes.
Thanks to him we saw 5 big (Rhino was the hardest for our period but he tried a lot and managed to find it), live lions wildebeest kill (if you are with your wife or girlfriend, close her eyes because they are all crying ), live cheeta gazelle kill and every single animal in my Masai Mara check list.
It was totally a perfect experience and decision to arrange our safari with Tekko Tours.

Well organised especially given late booking
From first contact communication was clear and efficient. I had contacted 3 companies as recommended and Tekko stood out on price point and accommodation. They were also the only company I contacted which differentiated on low and high season price and type of vehicle used which meant planning was easier. Maggie responded quickly and efficiently. She also was helpful in answering all my questions. I gave Tekko very little notice of travel but a well balanced personal itinerary was proposed and excellent accommodation was booked throughout. Much better than I anticipated in very nice lodges given the cost, which was very reasonable for 8 nights, especially as private vehicle and all meals were included in the cost. All lodges had pools bar The Ark ( if you go there you will understand why), outside seating and service and food at each was good. The transfer to the hotel in Nairobi was very long due to a local public transport strike but our driver , who had no control over this, was proactive in finding alternative routes and arranged for us to be met en route so we could get help
With our luggage and walk to the hotel. Had he not done this we would have been stuck in traffic for many more hours. The standard of driving throughout was excellent especially leaving Masai Mara after very heavy rains. The road was awful and I heard later that many cars got stuck but my driver got me through with what was clearly a very difficult road ( road being a generous description). He was excellent at finding the animals and I had some very special sightings often the only vehicle there. Also very helpful with shopping and getting medication for a very bad cold. I have been on safari before so have comparisons and I would have liked the driver, who is described as a guide, to have told more about the animals other than just their name. The driver was quite taciturn and it was quite hard to extract information. Also I fedback to him direct that he needs to know more bird names as a safari is about the big and small. He was good at suggesting changes to itinerary. As I had had plenty of game drives during the week this worked well for me but others might not like the loss of the last afternoon game drive , for which there would have been time, so be clear what the changes mean but bearing in mind driving on safari is a tough job. Also on the last day home he presumed we did not want to go to Carnivore as had had boxed lunch en route. This did mean we were at the airport very early with a substantial wait even before we could check in. I appreciate the traffic back to the city was building up badly and this would affect his journey home but we should have been asked. Overall a great safari but the guiding side of what was an excellent driver needs working on. I would recommend Tekko tours.
Amazing safari and a 5-star yurt!
This was an amazing safari on which we were able to see the big 5! In the evenings, we stayed at 5-star resorts with excellent food! We stayed at Osero Enarau Camp for 2 nights in a beautiful yurt with a huge private bathroom! We even saw giraffes from the driveway on our arrival! Thank you Tekko Tours for an amazing honeymoon!

Well organised and worth to recommend
Both Maggie and Lucy, the tour consultants of Tekko Tours and Travel are very nice. They always response swiftly with detailed and clear answers, which made us have confidence in their service. This is our third time to Eastern Africa, so we can compare Tekko's service with other companies, and it is no doubt that Tekko's service is very good and their jeep is the best. Also, our guide Jackson is excellent. He is polite, punctual, knowledgeable and always try to do his best to find animals. We can feel that he really love natural world and it is very important for a good private tour, as the guide can share his view of environment protection to us . We are pleased to recommend Tekko to you if you would like to have in depth safari experience in Kenya. Also, it is no doubt that we would back to Kenya again within a few years and would choose Tekko as our "partner" again.

Amazing experience with everything
Tekko Tours helped us with everything, they are responsive and are professional in what they are doing. We were able to have a customized Safari itinerary in Kenya created with the help of Maggie. She gave us a lot of options with our requests for our 10-day visit and we were able to arrange the Safari itinerary perfect for us. The driver William is an amazing driver in many regards. He drove us safely between the national parks, and his extensive knowledge about spotting the animals made sure we got to see everything we wanted on the game drives. He puts the clients first and makes sure you get a wonderful experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Safari to Masai Mara
We used this company for our safari to Masai Mara in December. It was great that they organized everything, but it was expensive for 3 nights. Once we got to the hotel, we couldn’t figure out why it was so expensive because our camp wasn’t too great. The safari was amazing though, the guide and driver were amazing and made our trip, but they were more affiliated with the hotel rather than this company. We were told there would be WiFi, but there wasn’t. Only a few hours of electricity each day. Carol was great, and I asked her to reschedule my trip many times, but I think the company is charging too much. If you use credit card you also have to pay a large fee. We had a lot of fun though. You need to have a positive attitude though, like expect to get stuck in water. We stayed 3 nights at the same place which was great because we got to do more, and weren’t so exhausted moving around. We also flew on a small plane which was interesting but I’m happy we didn’t drive that far. We saw the buses that people who drove in had, they didn’t look as great as our land cruiser, more like a van.
