Great impressions
5/5

We were seven persons company travelling with Karumuna Safaris and it will remain as unforgettable experience during Christmas time in Uganda. We travelled from Kampala to Kibale than Qeen Elizabeth (Kazinga chanel with great hippos as well) Bwindi Impenetrable forest with amazing gorillas, lake Bunyonyi and lake Mburo National park. Mr Richard Kisembo head and owner Karumuna safari was very interested in organisation and managing our safari. Moses, our guide and driver worked good and was an excellent assistent. Many thanks to rangers in Kibale, Bwindi and Mburo for competence and assistance. Gorilla tracking was something absoluttely wow! We tracked Rushaga, Kahungye gruop and Big Papa (silverback) was in very good mood. We were too.
Hope it wasn't my last Uganda trip.
Many thanks and I feel absolutely free to advise Karumuna for other travellers. Good service and fine prices.

Karumuna Safaris The way to go
5/5

If you are thinking about travelling to Africa, most especially Uganda, Karumuna Safaris is the right way to go. Not only is Richard (Karumuna Safaris) a friendly man but a very trustworthy one at that. We booked and travelled with him in November for a 3 day Kibale Chimps trekking tour and we still talk about the experience right now. While we were in Uganda, he took care of each and every need of ours and he is a person i would gladly book with again. We saw chimps, birds, baboons and had a crater lake experience like no other. He has a vast knowledge about the parks and animals, has good connections with park rangers and hotels. Beautiful communication, beautiful country, beautiful people. This trip exceeded my expectations. Thank you Richard, thank you Karumuna safaris for the best holiday me and mybfriends have ever had.

It was a breathtaking experience one that will overide every interesting moment of my life.
5/5

It was on Sunday the 18th of December 2016 when my trip, the adventure of my life started . I had been to many African countries even Uganda its self, but it looked like I was here for the first time. You actually do not know anything about Uganda until you travel with Karumuna Safaris because you get a true definition of a safari in Uganda "the pearl of Africa".
I nearly saw every wild animals like Chimpanzees, Gorillas, Giraffes, Monkeys, Lions, Zebras, Antelopes, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, Hippos.
When it came to culture its like you are visiting more than one country at once because there are over thirty tribes and each of them has a different culture which u get to experience only with Karumuna Safaris, the people are amazing perhaps the most friendly and social people i have met so far.
Karumuna Safaris took care of me well for they new what i needed even before i asked, there services are immense i would say from the time i arrived in Uganda every thing was on point.
I will say the two weeks trip with Karumuna Safaris in Uganda will always stand out as my most exciting most, audacious and hipped time of my life.
So I highly recommend any one who wants to visit Africa, to visit Uganda do it with Karumuna Safaris.

Amazing safari with Karumuna Safaris
5/5

It was so easy to plan our safari with Richard, the owner of Karumuna Safaris. He answered all of my questions (and there were many) in a timely manner. The whole safari was planned by exchanging numerous emails. You are in good hands with this company both pre-safari and once you are in Uganda. He arranged everything in an efficient manner, and was always very punctual. He works hard to make sure his travelers are happy. Plus, he is just a really nice person, from whom you will gain a lot of insight into life in Uganda. Uganda is a beautiful country that offers so many varied experiences, from horse back riding along the Nile, hiking, and of course, many national parks. It was an experience of a lifetime to see the gorillas and chimps. At our request Richard even contacted a guide when we decided at the last minute that we wanted to spend more time chimp trekking. Do not hesitate to book with Karumuna, an honest and very reliable company. Highly recommended!

We would definitely recommend to travel with them.

Excellent Experience with Karumuna Safaris
5/5

I highly recommend Karumuna Safaris. The service they provide is impeccable - whether it's communication leading up to the tour, guiding during the tour itself and beyond, this company is top-notch! Our guide went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many animals as possible on the tour as well as had a comfortable journey. Plus, and importantly, the financial cost is affordable. If ever I'm able to travel to Uganda again, I will look no further than Richard and his team at Karumuna to arrange another excellent experience!

Uganda safari? Don't doubt, go with Karumuna. You will not be sorry.
5/5

Experience of a lifetime. Karumuna Safaris (Richard Kisembo) arranged everything perfectly and our guide Ashadu was great. He knew litterally all the roads in Uganda including the paths in the Nat.Parks, he knows all the wildlife and birds, he has a good network with the guides from other touroperators, including the more expensive international touropertators (which are mainly more expensive because of the international middleman) whom stay in touch to keep each other informed what can be seen where. Our guide, Ashadu, was also very flexible, very friendly and trustworthy (very important).
To be honest we were a bit reluctant at first to book directly with a touroperator from Uganda, cutting out the expensive middleman, because of 'the big unknown' for us. But Karumuna Safaris, Richard Kisembo and our guide Ashadu came through and delivered in a big way.
So if you are planning to go on safari in Uganda I can definitely recommend Karumuna Safaris. If you want to see the real Africa, meet friendly people, see the Big 5 and have the privilege to see chimpanzees and gorillas, go! Go to Uganda! Go with Karumuna Safaris. They are also cheaper than the (more) international touroperators and the money stays where it should, in Uganda instead of the pockets of middlemen.
Karumuna Safaris, Richard and Ashadu we (me and Jeannette) would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. We will never forget and we hope you get all the business you deserve.

An excellent tour company
5/5

We used Safari Bookings when we searched for tour operators with office in Uganda and who had budget tours. We contacted 40-50 of them and Karumuna Safaris gave us the best offer. The company had some good reviews and a good web page but you never knew how reliable the companies are on Safari Bookings.
We were however very lucky and got a fantastic 7-days safari with a good guide/driver, Ashadu, who spoke perfect English.

We also got to know Richard Kisembo, the owner of Karumuna Safaris, who is really nice. Richard did many extra things for us which we appreciated very much. They were not included in our itinerary. He, and his family, invited us to a dance show before the safari. He transferred us between two hotels in Kampala free of charge. He came to our hotel after the safari and wondered how it had been and then he also gave us two t-shirts. He drove us from Kampala to a hotel in Entebbe. We only had to pay for the petrol. It was good to know that he care for his customers not only during the safaris. I am sure that he would have helped us if something would have happened to us in Kampala.

We really recommend Karumuna Safaris. They have three safari cars beside at least an ordinary car used for transferring customers between hotels and to/from the airport. They have around 10 guides. Almost all guides in Uganda are so called ”free lancers”. They prefer to get paid when they are contracted since they don’t get much if they get paid monthly. Richard informed us that Karumuna Safaris will most likely be a member of Association of Uganda Tour Operators ( AUTO ) during 2016. It cost 100.000 Ush and it has a yearly fee of 300 USD if I remember correct.

We would of course use Karumuna Safaris again if we return. I better say when we return since Uganda is a very lovely country.
