Kilimanjaro via Machame Route & 3 days Safari
5/5

We had phantastic two weeks with TaiTraveller in Tansania. We spend 7 days climbing Kilimanjaro via Machame Route as well as we had great 3 days on a Safari Lake Manyara National, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. Prior to our tour Tai Traveller provided all relevant tour details and supported us with our individual travel planning. They offered a full package with transfer from and to the airport and have been very flexible and supportive during our stay. We felt very comfortable and safe during the tour and had a great time with the team with unforgettable memories,

Great Experience withTai Travellers
5/5

My girlfriend and I organized much of our activities in Tanzania through Iddi at Tai Travellers. Iddi was awesome. He was always attentive and outgoing. Iddi makes it his personal goal that travellers in Tanzania get the most out of their visit. I even observed Iddi going out of his way to assist tourists and guides from other travel companies simply because he believes in providing everyone with a good experience when they visit Tanzania. Iddi is very experienced (he has summited Mt. Kili hundreds of times), well trained and wilderness first responder certified, well connected with people around the country and just a genuinely pleasant person to be around. Whether you're looking to go on Safari, climb the mountains or are just open to suggestions (like an easy day trip to some hot springs) Iddi and Tai Travellers are a great option.

An amazing experience
5/5

We came to Tai Travellers through a friend who climbed with them the Kilimanjaro. While this operator may not be among the most famous yet, we had a wonderful experience with them. The communication in English beforehand was no problem. As we looked for a less expensive option we were free to add and take off days and really created a very personalized experience. We stayed two days in Serengeti and one in Ngorongoro and had the full package. We saw the big five, giraffee, zebras, hippos, prairie fox and various other animals (of course this is more part of luck than about the quality of the operator). Especially nice was that our guides were very relaxed. When we asked for a shared BBQ with another group we met in Serengeti they opted in quickly and bought half a goat in a nearby village - you can imagine the evening was memorable. While they did everything for us to enjoy the safari, they also sticked to the rules of the parks so that we really had the feaeing that we actually contributed with our tourism rather than unnerving the beasts. Thus, service and especially the food was really excellent! We were picked up from the airport and brought back, learned a lot about animals, Tanzania and other things from our guides/cook Iddi and Suri who were amazing people. At the end, most of the company came to take us to the airport and say good-bye. All in all a wonderful experience which we wouldn't have made without the Tai Traveler crew. So if you look for an economic provider for personalized wild life safaris in Tanzania, make sure to consider Tai Travellers (While the name may sound strange in European/American ears, Tai in Swahili translates to eagle).

So in short: It was amazing and it completly lived up to our expectations. The camp sites were wonderful, the food was very good, communication was perfect. 5 stars - totally recommended operator!

Great experience - great company!
5/5

My girlfriend and I did a 6 day Safari visiting Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Conservation Area!

Communication
Yassin did a great job with the communication before the Safari started. He informed us well and replied fast. Also the flexibility with organiaing our Safari was great, because we had to move it back one day and later we had to move it again.

Price
It was indeed a bit pricey but in hindsight it was well spent money. If you want comfort and a bit of luxury during your Safari, be aware that you might spend a little more money than expected, but you will not regret it.

Accommodation
The first lodge was Kitolie Home, a low budget hotel. After that it got a lot better. What we really enjoyed was the Tanzania Bush Camp in the Serengeti and also the Endoro Lodge. Great tents and great rooms there. Well picked Yassin!

Flexibility
Tai Travellertz did a great job of adapting to our needs and wishes as mentioned before. Our flight departed late at night, so they offered a free tour around Moshi and a short visit to the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Also on our second last day of the Safari they changed our Programme and we had a great Tour in Mto Wa Mbu with bycicles, visiting tribes and plantations. That was instead of visiting a minor national park with not much to see.

Driver
Our driver was Manyama, request him if you book with Tai Travellertz! Friendliest and moste helpful person I have met in a long time. Even stopped the car for other Safari Guides with car problems and helped them out. Great person and a very warm heart! Made our trip special! Besides that, he knows a lot about animals and plants, and also does a great job of spotting animals. We saw the BIG 5 and much much more!

We do recommend this company!

Excellent Safari with Tai Travellers
5/5

When I was searching for a safari company, I asked for a some recommendations from a friend living in Tanzania. He suggested Tai Travellers (amongst others) as one that I should look into.

I had some specific requests about my safari: it must be three days, it must visit Serengeti, it must be a camping safari, and I must be able to travel alone at a reasonable price. Tai Travellers was the only company that would meet those needs. Many of the other companies said that it was impossible to go to Serengeti in three days or estimated the price at much higher than Tai Travellers. Tai Travellers was also the most prompt and clear when communicating.

My safari was excellent. I had a great driver who was knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants life around us. He had a knack for spotting animals. I was able to see the Big Five (although the rhino was further in the distance than one would hope, but thats nature). The chef was excellent, cooking up delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Both my driver and chef were also seemed very well educated. Car and dinner conversations spanned topics like politics, social services, anthropology, cultural icons, and of course, wildlife and plant life.

Excellent service, competent guide
5/5

I did a 7 day Machame hike up Kilimanjaro and successfully climbed the mountain thanks to Tai Travellers. The email communication from the beggining was clear and responses were quick. They took care of me from the moment of my arrival to the time I left. Everything was exactly as we agreed in itinerary. No hidden costs and no unwanted surprises. They are very helpful and proffesional. I was satisfied and I would warmly recommend them to anyone thinking of doing the trek.
