Safariline fully delivered on an the expectations I had and more - great value for money
Best Safari I've been on.
Safariline Defender Tours Provided a Thrilling Opportunity to Explore the Maasai Mara. Our guide did an amazing job, both getting to the park and driving through the park. He was able to find all Big 5 as well as a cheetah hunting a wildebeest (Whoa! What an alluring experience, Looked like in the "The land of Big Cats - Disney"), hundreds of giraffes, zebras, hippos and all kinds of antelopes, all in the same day! The accommodations exceeded our expectations with a good hot water shower.. Rose and her group have my deepest gratitude.

Great 7-day safari
I did a 7-day tour with Safari Line Defender covering Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park. It was a fantastic and positive experience. Rose was quite helpful as soon as I booked, constantly keeping me informed and asking how she could help. She even got me a discounted hotel booking and arranged all the airport taxis. The safari itself was busy and well planned. We had a very good guide, Patrick "Papa". He was knowledgeable, warm and very patient. All the arrangements worked well. The main issues in my safari were the state of the roads leading to the Maasai Mara and the traffic jams to Amboseli (between Nairobi and Mombasa). These need to be factored into all plans, but they are Kenya Government issues rather than the fault of the safari company. The campsites (at Maasai Mara and Amboseli) and the hotels at Nakuru and Naivasha were as expected for a budget tour. This was my first time in Kenya and it is a beautiful country, blessed with great wildlife and natural resources. Thanks Rose and Patrick for a great experience and I would definitely recommend this company.

23 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking and Safari in Tanzania and Kenya
We had booked an 8 day Kilimanjaro trekking on the Lemosho route followed by a safari trip across Tanzania and Kenya. For the Kili part of our trip Safariline subcontracted to a local Tanzanian operator (Seven Wonders), who did an amazing job. All five members of our group made it to the summit, and we felt very well looked after throughout the entire experience. We also very much enjoyed the friendly and good natured atmosphere they created around us.
For the safari part we had asked Safariline for budget accommodation, so we could save a little money. They picked a variety of campsites, fixed-tent camps and hotels, which - with a single exception - were all quite good and allowed for an attractive price. I particularly enjoyed the Nyati Safari Camp at Amboseli which was very comfy and had a gorgeous view of mount Kilimanjaro.
Organization was generally good. Rose, the manager, was always easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to any questions or requests we had. There was a small hickup when they changed the schedule in Kenya without notifying us. (They only rearranged the order of things. Nothing was left out.) For a while that had me worried I might not catch my flight back home. It all went well in the end, but I could have done without the added suspense.
The heart of any safari is of course the game viewing. For us that was more than excellent, which to no small part was owed to our two drivers. They took us to all the major parks of the region. Both of them were highly skilled in the art of finding the best spots and then positioning the car in such a way that we would have the best possible view. The animal encounters we had far exceeded my expectations.
I would recommend Safariline to a friend any day.

Top notch tour company with excellent communication!
Seven of us booked a two week safari with Safari Line Defender Tours. We started in Arusha and ended in Nairobi, visiting all the significant parks in northern Tanzania and southern Kenya. Our accommodations included a variety of tented camps and hotels. For the entire trip we were provided with sturdy Land Rovers and several guide-drivers, all of whom knew the best locations in each park for locating wildlife. By radio and phone the guides stayed in constant contact with the other guides in the parks so they knew immediately where to take us to see the most exciting sightings. This usually involved the big cats but also included the mass migration of wildebeest and other great wildlife scenes. Over the course of the two weeks there were really too many highlights to mention.
We spent a full year getting this trip organized and throughout that time I was in frequent email/WhatsApp contact with Rose Muthoni, the company co-founder. Her communication was always fast (within hours or less) and helpful. All details were easily attended to. Aside from wildlife viewing, the food was good and abundant throughout.
One detail to pay attention to when booking is to make certain that the maximum number of passengers in the Land Rover is seven and not eight so that every person gets a window seat.
From start to finish this safari was smooth sailing! I highly recommend this company for quality and competency.

Safari line defenders, especially our driver, Freddie gave us an incredible experience!
Safari line defender tours were amazing for us. My husband and I did a 3 day private safari at Amboseli. We asked if they could pick us up from Diani and then drop us off afterwards in Nairobi and they were happy to do so! They organized every part of the travel, got us a driver, booked us train tickets, and had our driver waiting for us when we arrived to drive us to Amboseli. Before the trip, they communicated with us well and clearly and responded very fast. Safaris are just expensive, but we felt like this one was a little more affordable while still providing everything we wanted! We were more than happy.
We had Freddie as our driver and he was incredible! He helped us find everything we wanted to see and did an amazing job getting us to the front of the group when there was a crowd looking at something. He was relaxed and not stressful and helped us feel right at home. He was what made our actual safari experience amazing.
We stayed at Nyati camp, and had a great experience there as well! They were flexible to give us meals when we needed them and packed us lunches on our full day safari.
At Amboseli, we had a great experience! We saw every type of animal you could see there. We saw Lions and Cheetahs (and 5 cubs!) multiple times. We saw such magnificent elephants and giraffes.

Well-organised small business who coordinated all our transport and accommodation in a hybrid tour
Rose made all the arrangements, ensuring we were taken care of from our arrival to our departure. We were collected at the airport, taken to the office to finalise payments, then driven to Nakuru via Lake Naivasha for the first two days as a private tour (just the two of us and our driver/guide, Joseph). After an overnight in Nakuru we drove to the Maasai Mara, joining up with several others on the way. We spent two nights at Miti Mingi camp and enjoyed game drives in the Mara before continuing on our itinerary. We travelled via Nairobi (on the day of protests - as seen on world news), with a change of vehicle and driver/guide (Moses) to Amboseli. We spent two nights at Nyati Safari Camp and had game drives in Amboseli. We were then driven to Namanga border crossing and assisted with exit from Kenya and entry to Tanzania before being driven to Arusha where we stayed at the Charity Hotel. Next morning we were collected by Amani and, together with a small group, drove to Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We had game drives in the Serengeti and in the Ngorongoro Crater, spending one night at Shuhudia Adventure Camp and the next at Rhino Lodge. Both were excellent. Finally we returned to Arusha and our last night at the Charity Hotel. Next morning we were collected and put on the shuttle back to Nairobi and our flight home. Despite a few small hiccups (such as the shuttle breaking down about half way back to Nairobi) and the disturbance caused by the protests against the proposed finance bill, we had a good safari and saw plenty of animals and birds. The guides were informative and helpful and the whole thing was well-organised by Rose in Nairobi.

The Big and Ugly 5
We were incredibly lucky to see the big and ugly 5 during our trip to Kenya and the national parks. Caleb “KingFisher” our tour guide is an amazingly friendly and knowledgeable person. I don’t think it would have been possible for us to complete this wonder feat without him. Communication before and during the trip was smooth and reliable. At the end of every day we knew exactly what we had plan for the following day. I would recommend this trip to friends and family 10 out of 10! Thanks for a trip of a lifetime!!
