Great Kilimanjaro trek
5/5

Three friends and I just completed a 6 day Rongai route Kilimanjaro trek. The staff was very responsive and helpful months leading up to the trip. The guides and porters did a great job.

This was my first Safari and after having such a great experience I'm already looking forward to my second . The overall experience with Safari Big Five was excellent. I really loved the itinerary. It was well planned and the accommodations were perfect. Everything went very smooth and our Tour guide was unbelievably knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend Safar Big Five for your Safari adventures.

A trip of a lifetime and Safari Big 5 made it a great experience.
5/5

Everything went very smoothly with Safari Big 5, from our initial contact to our departure at the airport. The price was very reasonable, and if you do any comparison shopping, you will agree. We booked a 6 day, 5 night, tour that included one day in Tarangire National Park, two days in the Serengeti, one day in Ngorongoro Crater, and one day at Lake Manyara. Each day was extraordinary. Our guide, Rashidi, was knowledgeable and flexible to our preferences, such as what time we left in the morning and what time we did our game drives. We stayed in two different lodges and tents in the Serengeti. They were all quite different, but clean, very welcoming, and well run. We also booked a hot air balloon ride that was not to be missed. The cost of balloon trips is always a bit staggering, but this one included a champagne breakfast on the Serengeti, not many people can attest to having done that! You can pay a LOT more for safaris, but we noticed they were doing the same things we were. Their accommodations may have been a bit nicer, but we didn't go on a safari to be pampered. You can also pay a bit less, but those people were riding around in big trucks that had been turned into buses. We had a private vehicle and a guide/driver all to ourselves. I would say that Safari Big 5 was a great value for the money.

Our guide was excellent. The hotels were memorable experiences. The animals were amazing.

I suggest going in late November or early December. The crowd is much less and the weather much better. The experience was a once in a lifetime. The only disappointments were limited WIFI and most hotels turned off electricity during the night (while sleeping).

The trip to the Northern Nat. parks and to Kondoa Art caves was very well planned and done, and the drives (guides) were very excellent. Good drive, good info on animals and scenery, good organisation at the lodges.

It was bloody Phenominal
5/5

Going to Tanzania culminated a dream that began in fourth grade geography class. I remember clearly learning about the densely forested Northeast where Mount Kilimanjaro is located- which is, by the way, the highest free standing mountain in the world. Furthermore, my obsessive drawings of three of Africa's great lakes in Art class further showcased my desire to visit this great land. Lake Victoria- one of the biggest lake in the world, Lake Tanganyika the continent's deepest lake and Lake Nyasa. I remember dreaming about the open grass plains of Serengeti which is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. Over the years, as I grew up, I feared my dreams were a bit to idealistic and imaginary until I finally decided to visit the land of my dreams with Safari Big 5 and boy was I amazed. Through the excellent service of Safari Big 5, my experience on February 2016 was truly magical. It was definitely an experience where reality exceeded expectations.

The service offered by Safari Big 5 was perfect. I was in constant correspondence with my trip advisor who marvellously organised my detailed trip. I was cheerfully greeted as soon as I landed and from there everything was seamless. I visited Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar. I cannot explain how wonderful each place was so I urge anyone who is, like me, dreaming about visiting Tanzania to go there themselves and enjoy the experience with Safari Big 5.
