We really enjoyed our safari trip in Tanzania with Ilmaasai. We had a driver, a chef, and a 4x4 for ourselves, so we got to taylor our trip according to our specific needs. The crew was also very accommodating with all pour requests and the owner was very responsive and on top of everything making sure we were having a great time.

Excellent Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
Being surrounded by many people who were offering tours to us (which was really stressful) we noticed Loth K. Msechu who was very friendly and calm. Together with him we came up with a fair contract that was fulfilled to our greatest content during the trip. Our guide Godson was very friendly, funny and taught us a lot about plants, animals and people living in Tanzania. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. We highly recommend Ilmaasai Expedition!

an amazing experience
A flycatcher brought us to him. First we were a little bit sceptical but he was nice a looked serious. And also the tourist information told us that he has a licence. So we booked the one day trip to Tarangire National Park. We paid the fee by the time he picked us up. Our driver/guide was a pleasant man. So we had a great day. The only bad thing was that the vegetarian lunch pack wasn't vegetarian. But on the pack was vegetarian written. So we think it was the fault of the cook and not of ilmaasai company.

What a great experience!
We are a (relatively) young couple and although we travel the world as much as we can, this was our first visit to Tanzania. We found Loth from Ilmaasai through Safaribookings. After doing an extensive research that lasted several months, we felt that Ilmaasai offered the best overall package for visiting Tanzania, and best value for the price. During the arrangement of the safari, we always felt that Loth would try his best to meet our requirements.
With the help of several guides, internet forums, and Loth's expert advice, we tailored a bespoke safari visiting most of the northern circuit.
The experience itself was fantastic from start to end. Our driver and guide, Bryson, was very very knowledgeable and always looked after us. I was impressed with the care he took to ensure that we learned about nature as well as enjoying the safari. We were also accompanied by Osman, our cook, who was good fun and prepared delicious food! I mention this because spending many days in a car with other people can be difficult, but these guys made us enjoy it. On top of that, both (but especially the guide) were fantastic at explaining every single detail of animals' behaviours and the environment they live in. They are very passionate about Tanzania and they really made the difference to our adventure.
On top of the educational safari, the amazing landscapes and the good company, the trip was organised to include some small excursions that were the icing on the cake: canoeing, hot springs, hiking, etc.
In summary, we don't hesitate to recommend Ilmaasai for a Tanzania safari. We'd like to be back soon, and when we do, Loth's number will be the first one to dial.

We really enjoy the safari tour with Ilmaasai! good people and great guide.
Our guide was Godson, a very nice, smart and funny guy, he have a lot of knowledge about the animals, plants and the tribes in the area, and he was happy to explain us about everything.
The tour was very organized, good equipment, and they didn't miss anything.

Great journey
We had an excellent journey with great guids, amazing cooks and diners and joyful porters.
Excellent Staff, Good Company
We went on a 6 day safari with Ilmaasai. Our driver Bryson and cook Osman were most accommodating and did everything they could to make our trip great. We saw plenty of animals and were happy with this company. It is locally owned as well, we were happy that our money went to support the local people and not a foreign company.

Masai joy
Thank's Simon and Roman for making my 3-day trip to Lake Natron to a
road of joy. One of the highlights was the meeting with all the friendly Masais.
Climbing Oldonyo Lengai with my masai guide Ringa starting in the middle of
night was the greatest. I recomend it to all with good shape.

Unforgettable experience!
5 day Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara -Camping.

Ilmaasia were happy to collect us from our hotel in central Arusha . Our driver (Bryson) greeted us and we were taken to the office to meet Loth and complete the necessary paperwork, he was helpful and reassuring.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable even on the drive to the first national park he was happy to answer any questions we had about Tanzania and local culture.
We then had the most amazing 5 days exploring Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara we saw all the big 5 and had many unforgettable moments.
Our chef really delivered at no moment we're we left Hungry and the quality of food was surprising due to the basic facilities at some of the campsites.
On 2 of our 4 nights we were put up at the panorama campsite, looking over lake Manyara we had a room and all of the facilities we desired. The other 2 nights were spent camping in the heart of the Serengeti and the top of the Ngorongoro Crator . We were lucky enough to see elephants as they walked through our campsite!!!
After our safari we had 5 days exploring Arusha . Our guide was extremely helpful giving us recommendations on things to do locally.
In the future we would definitely use ilmaasia for our safaris . The good price, amazing experience and great guide and chef highlighted our trips, we were sad to say goodbye!

Amazing tour and very reliable and well organised Tour Operator!
We've booked a 5 day Tour with Il Masaai Expedition and had the best time in Tanzania!!! The booking and communication with Mr. Loth was very friendly and he explained everything to us. We were picked up on the airport by himself just on time and stayed one night in Arusha before the tour started. Our driver Bryson was such a nice guy and we felt very safe the whole time! Also our cook Othman did a great job he served delicious food every day, like local meals and also Spaghetti, Pizza.... Tanzania is a fascinating country and we were overwhelmed with all that beautiful nature and animals like lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards, zebras....the highlight was definately Ngorongoro Crater - we started early in the morning and saw all the animals walking in the sunrise so magical!!!! Although we did a Budget safari it was the best trip so far and we travelled to many countries before. I would definately choose Il Masaai Expedition again if I will come back - and that's for sure :) Asante!
