wonderful budget camping safari to kenya and Tanzania
we went on a 11 day trip to kenya and Tanzania. the service By Michael and his team was excellent. We were received at the airport. we visited & game reserves, Masai mar, Lake Nakuru, Hellsgate park, Lake Maynara reserve, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire national park.
The driver cum guides Joseph and Ziggy were very knowlegeable and very courteous. They were very patient in showing the animals and birds. We saw all the big carnivores and herbivores from close range with wonderful photogaphic oppurtunities. We also saw plenty of birds especially Flamingoes at lake Magadi In the crater.the 6 nights in tents were very comfortable and the food was very good . As two of the members in my family were vegetarians they took good care of them. the budget hotels were fine except for no hot showers available in Kenya.Overall it is a wonderful game viewing experience and very close to nature and the animals. It is great value for money as it was a budget tour. I highly reccomend it for budget travellers and for persons who are keen on seeing as many animals as possible. The highlights were the tuskers and cheetahs at masaimara, the white rhinos at Lake Nakuru, the gorge and cycling at hellsgate, the lions esp treeclimbing lions at serengeti, the abundance of animals at the creter with breatholing scenery and the elephant hers at Tarangire. Kudos to Michael and his team for this great experience

very well adapted one day trip around nairobi
Ancient Wild Safaris did a great job to propose a last minute one day trip around Nairobi on the way to great rift valley. They did adapt to my request to modify or extend some of the visits and they event brought my back directly to the airport.
If you have one day available in Nairobi before you flight back home on the evening this is the way to go ( for a reasonable price)!

Lake Bogorio to Lake Naivasha
It was my first Safari with AWS, the second with Joseph. All and everything was exactly as planed, dreamed of. (well, the Flamingos went to Tanzania while we were at Lake Bagorio ..:-)) Joseph is the most relyable Driver with knowledge of animals, culture, history. This because I always will contact AWS as soon as I will plan my next trip to Kenya or any neighbourhood. Thank you guyes, you did a very good Job at creating your own tour Office!!! I will recommand you to everybody with very best consience - friendlyness, Fairness, respect - there never was a tiny doubt. Thank you for making trust you all the way. This trip exceeded my husband's and my expectations! We did an 11 day trip exploring the beauty of Kenya and Tanzania. All the drivers, especially Joseph, were extremely welcoming. They were always willing to share their knowledge and did their best to find all the animals for you. We were able to see "The Big 5" within our first two days! Before the trip, Michael answered any questions we had, and he even met up with us a few times during our trip to see how we were doing. He also arranged seemless transitions as we switched from Kenya to Tanzania. We absolutely loved this trip and would book through Ancient Wild Safaris again!

Thank for an amazing adventure
Eight of us boarded a bus at Nairobi airport unsuspecting of the amazing trip that lay before us. We must thank Joseph and Michael for organizing such an amazing experience. I wanted to get photos that will make my friends jealous, what I got we the experience of a lifetime. From the migrating wilder beast, to the hot air balloon ride, this trip was truly one of the best adventures I have been on. My highlight was stopping at the school as we left the Masai Mara and being able to give much needed school supplies to the children.
Thank you for making our trip to Kenya so amazing!

Hell's Gate trip
Trip was almost perfect. Mike (manager, I suppose) respond quickly at all time (pre-booking, appointment, etc.) and follow any my demands. Paul (driver) made his best during trip - comfort and safe driving, detailed explanation through whole journey. But I have one disappointed thing - in itinerary written what boat ride is inclusive - that is incorrect, they charge USD50 for this option.

Ancient Wild was a great tour operator. Michael answered every last one of my questions leading up to trip via FB and was very patient explaining all the details. I normally am very OCD with my vacation planning, but Michael handled everything wonderfully! We spent 12 days touring Kenya and Tanzania and every suggestion and budget lodging was on point. Loved the culture, the experience, and beautiful beautiful Africa! Highly recommend you book with these guys! Very affordable and very customizable !

Very well looked after , kind understanding of our needs .
Mike who is the booking agent , spent a lot of time trying to understand our needs and even changed things when I messed up on the flights . Josef the driver picked us up at the airport in Nirobi on time we were out of the airport and in our Safari bus with no delays , Josef is a good safe driver . He has an amazing understanding for the correct positioning of the veiricle when dealing with the animals so they don't feel trapped and that makes it safe for everyone . He also took us to church in Nirobi as requested , we left Kenya and went on to Tanzania , our next driver was Beckham he also was a safe driver and I could not fault him he also had a good understanding of the animals , his personality was very different he was a more quiet man but nothing wrong with that . We seen more than sixty lions and cheaters. So many Wilderbeast that I can't start to count and so much more the lodges were all different I think the only one I would Change would be the Rhino only because I would have preferred a view over the Ngorongoro Crater but the lodge was OK and the food was good it had its own charm but very basic the staff were also very helpful We then went on to the Royal Zanzibar hotel for a six day beach rest , the hotel is very good the staff were ok they have been trained to be polite but I could have done without saying Jumbo meaning hello every thirty seconds but they are just doing their job , The only problem I had was for me the time in the verecals sometimes ten hours per day was to long for me as I am not that young , I would cut out the lake Victoria part And fly into the Serengeti from the Masai Mara also I would have preferred to fly straight to Amboseli This would put up the price but this is only my thinking in retrospect, Over all a super trip one I will never forget Many many thanks to Ancient Wild Safaris

We enjoyed four days of safari with our private driver, who guided us through the nature concervacy on his personal routes and made us discover much more then expected and learn a lot about these wonderful wild animals through his rich knowledge.
