Very nice and professional tour guide
I have gone on a safari for 10 days in Selous, Mikumi and Ruaha national parks. Davis is an excellent guide and driver. He is very nice and kind, and very knowlegable about the wildlife and the country. The tour was well organized and planned, and he spotted a lot of animals. He is truly passionate about his work. Highly recommended!

Very considerate and great communicator.
Bartazary did a great job of communicating the details of our half-day tour to Mikumi Natiomal Park. He was on time to pick my wife & I from the hotel at 4:30am. He is a long drive from Dar Es Salaam. We did a take a quick break halfway to the park. Once we arrive we started our tour. We saw Lions, Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, Impalas, Zebras, Python, Giraffes, Buffalos, Birds, Wildebeests, Warthogs and Monkeys. We went during the dry season, which many animals are near a source. It made it easier to see all the animals. We had lunch a couple at the park. My wife and I decided to end the tour early since we had seem all the animals. We took the drive back and arrived to our hotel around 8:30/8:45pm. Overall it was a great experience that we’ll never forget. Thank you Bartazary for a memorable day.

Outstanding trip to Selous NP and Kilwa Kisiwani with Davis
Upfront, having been travelling with a few tour providers in Tansania, I just have to state that Nyasi Adventure provided with me with the undoubtedly best experience there and on top, Davis, was a wonderful person, excellent driver and highly knowledgeable guide. Additionally everything went smooth and perfect from the moment I was picked up at the airport until my drop off.
I booked a 5 days safari including Selous NP and Kilwa Kisiwani. I was picked up on day one at Nyerere International Airport and we started our journey to Selous NP. In the evening I went on a boat safari on the Rufiji river, where I saw loads of crocodiles, reptiles and hippos before marvelling at a magnificent sunset over the river. The next day we headed off for a full time jeep safari in Rufiji which was simply amazing due to the knowledge of Davis and his ability to track each animal around. What I loved a lot was the amount of young animals with there mum I saw on this day - and my first lion of the trip. The next day, after a bush walking safari, giving a deep inside into medical plants and feeling the wilderness, as we had to run away three times from being to close to elephants, we headed to Kilwa Masoko into a wonderful lodge on the shore of the Indian Ocean. The next day was dedicated to exploring the remains of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara, both UNESCO world heritage sights (as well as Selous NP). These cities had their peak in the 13th to 16th centuries, when Kilwa Kisiwani was the most important trade city on the Indian Ocean coast trading with gold from Zimbabwe, and the remaining buildings as the Grande Mosque or the biggest palace south of the Sahara were just breath taking. The following day after some last relaxation at the beach we had unfortunately to head back to Dar, where I had to catch a flight for my next adventure.
To sum up, I wouldn't know what could have been better in the organisation of this trip by Nyasi Adventure. Accomodation, food, transfer, guiding and all others were simply great. Beyond that, Davis was such a wonderful guy that it felt being on holidays with a friend. Hence, if you ever consider travelling into that region, Nyasi Adventure should be your choice.

I cannot imagine how it is possible to be a better Tanzanian tour operator than Nyasi Adventure.
Nyasi Adventure: trip of a lifetime! But so good, we went twice. :)
In 2013, our family of four including two early-teenage daughters travelled in southern and eastern Tanzania with Davis. We had such an amazing time that we could not wait to go back (this time to the north, and west), but with one thing and another, we had to be patient and wait until 2023. We had some pretty high expectations based on the first experience, but even then, they were more than exceeded!
Taking the two trips together, we have travelled for nearly 6 weeks with Davis and Nyasi Adventure: in all that time, there was not a single glitch, delay, breakdown or interruption. We always have 100% confidence that things will work as intended, and be safe and fun.
On safari (Swahili for travel - don't picture 1800s guys going hunting!) with Davis, there is never a dull moment. Elephants over there, a leopard in that tree, hey, there's a Little bee-eater, a Martial eagle circling, and those dots are a group of eland - let's go and check them out! All interspersed with great food and lively conversation on a million topics.
Davis and Nyasi Adventure work tirelessly for the clients to make the trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Everything is efficient, comfortable, and can be tailored to individual needs. While the website suggests some tours, these can be adjusted, combined, and otherwise optimized. Flexibility, charm, personality.
Our 2023 trip was extraordinary. After the very long flight from Australia, we started with two days around Moshi, including a fun trip to Materuni coffee village. Then, off to Tarangire for a gorgeous savannah experience with wonderful cross-section of the big animals and a good representation of the smaller things. A vist to Lake Manyara revealed a spectacular wet environment with waterbirds, lions, olive baboons in great numbers, multiple species of hornbills and more. Ngorongoro is world heritage for good reason - the spectacular crater was scenic enough on its own but the plains were alive with animals, including rhinos. Then four days in the Serengeti, possibly the highlight of a trip full of highlights. The main purpose of going there was to see migrations - wildebeest, zebras, buffalo and other species in large numbers were there as anticipated. But as always, so much else going on for those who like wildlife large and small. One of Davis's many super-powers is finding big cats, so we were treated to leopards (whose mating is not completely romantic) and more than one female cheetah with her cubs. And pretty much everything at close quarters.
The next phase was unusual to combine with northern Tanzania - we really wanted to see chimpanzees and Lake Tanganyika. So off to Gombe National Park in the west. The chimps were very much in evidence, and on a day when we had spent a couple of hours of easy trekking to find and watch them, a group also came through our tented camp, providing even more relaxed views. The Lake is very special - large enough to be tidal but then it's weird for it to be fresh. After an extraordinary trip to the wild and remote Katavi National Park with deep waterholes and a profusion of wildlife, we rounded out with some R&R at Lake Shore - wonderful and welcoming accommodation like all the places on our trip. But it was not all sipping cocktails by the water - we made a snorkelling pilgrimage to see the famous Lake Tanganyika cichlid fish.
I'd be hard pressed to say whether I preferred the southern/eastern parks, or northern/western. All amazing! Just more reasons to keep going back to Tanzania. I genuinely cannot imagine how a company could do a better job of Tanzanian safari than Nyasi Adventure does. Along with a decent camera, it's the best use of money I have ever made.

Nyasi has been my go-to safari company in East Africa (esp. Tanzania) for years.
Nyasi Adventure has consistently given me everything I've wanted in my East Africa experience. I work in global environmental conservation and I have been working with Davis and Robert (Nyasi owners) since 2017. I have depended on Nyasi for field work, taking stakeholders on trips, and for my own sight-seeing. The company has never steered me wrong. I have always had a good experience and I never worry once I'm in country and in their vehicles. Davis (and Robert, whom I don't know as well) is fair, easy to work with, and fun to be around. If you are in Tanzania, I highly recommend Nyasi. Even if they are unavailable, they will be able to connect you to other, trustworthy companies in the region.
