Kerry Ririe is outstanding in every way
This is our 6th trip to SA and all thanks to Kerry Ririe at Pembury Tours : to say Kerry is exceptional, is the understatement of the year.
We have raved so much about out trips that family chose to join us this time and they too returned home ecstatic. At work people are always eager to hear of our adventures.
Kerry quickly forms an idea of the style of holiday experience you may wish to consider and gives many options and helpful suggestions, with various budgetary options. Kerry's first hand knowledge of SA, having lived in so many places and her incredible people skills ,make organising a trip a fun filled experience, which you can not wait to commence.
From extra tyre insurance in Namibia (which we were so grateful for) to the amazing travel itinerary with directions and selecting the type of accommodation that best suits your needs. The meet and greet at the airport is a lovely touch after a long flight, with guidance to the seamless car hire and the handover of the beautifully presented itinerary, in a locally made printed cotton satchel.
In Kruger, we stayed in the most amazing camps and on this trip, we stayed at Arathusa Safari Lodge as Kerry knew we were keen to see
leopards and it is renowned for it's leopard sightings. We were not disappointed .
The internal flights were a breeze with excellent transfers to and from our various accommodations, something we would have struggled to arrange and all of our accommodation exceeded our expectations .
Our vacations with Kerry's assistance are always unique and as a result our trips become amazing adventures with life enhancing experiences. Sitting on the edge of the Victoria Falls at Devil's pool in Zambia, a morning helicopter trip over the Falls, off road Safari Trips in Sabi Sands, experiencing a 3 month old southern right whale calf exploring our small boat, photographing southern double collared sunbirds in Kirstenbosh and enjoying cocktails at the rooftop bar at the Silo in Cape Town.
Food in SA is amazing and everywhere Kerry suggested was spot on.
Having corresponded with Kerry for over 8 years we were so lucky to meet her in person on this trip and she's even more wonderful in real life - I didn't think that could be possible. Her enthusiasm and love of what she does is captivating and Kerry is now busy helping us with a trip to Botswana/ Kruger/ Zimbabwe for 2026. The suggested itinerary is already flowing.

Super knowledgable, friendly and efficient company
Just returned from our 2nd safari trip once again organised by Tammy at Pembury Tours. This was a complicated itinerary, visiting Zimbabwe, Zambia and Sabi Sands, which ran perfectly due to Tammy's excellent knowledge, planning and organisation. As soon as we arrived in Johannesburg, we felt we were safely in her hands. All the lodges she recommended were great and the transfers ran like clockwork. Amazing viewings everywhere, we couldn't have asked for more. Tammy is always available should a client need her, both before and during the trip and we would highly recommend her services.

Fantastic Holiday in South Africa with Kerry at Pembury Tours
We have just returned from a 4 week holiday in South Africa and Victoria Falls with superb assistance from Kerry Ririe at Pembury Tours.
Kerry gave so much time to all our queries and requests and always came back to us very promptly and was so patient with us. All the bookings and arrangements she made on our behalf were faultless and it is especially pleasing and reassuring that all the transfer drivers were always there in plenty of time and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. She provided so much invaluable information through an online portal as well as in hard copy on arrival.
We were really grateful for the advice she gave which made the planning so much easier and prevented us from making some illogical decisions and mistakes.
It was simply an unforgettable holiday and the memories we have together with the hundreds of photographs will allow us to remember it all.

Above and beyond
Third time using Pembury and working with Anya. Once again, everything that was promised - transfers, flights, accommodation and tours went as exactly as planned. Thanks again to Anya for her insights and ideas in putting the trip together over three countries and several different stops. Also appreciate the time, patience and effort put in from a starting date of two years ago right up to and including the time of the holiday. Fantastic service. Could not have asked for more
We feel very lucky to have found Penbury Tours for our South African holiday. From the moment we contacted them for a quote, for one of thier standard iteneraries, Heidi was able to provide us with a fantastic bespoke service. She was able to accommodate all our requests to fine tune the timetable, she made great recommendations for places to visit, and spent time with us exploring different options for our trip. She was always happy to facilitate our "just one more thing" emails, and always responded quickly.
The trip it's self, was fantastic and every hotel we stayed at was exceptional and totally exceeded our expectations. Our only concern was when returning our hire, the company would not agreed there was no damage, untill it was taken away and looked at after cleaning, which made us uneasy. Albeit they did not find any. They also charged us incorrectly for an "included" drop off fee. I let Hiedi know and she was able to organise a refund immediately. I'm very glad Penbury had made the booking as I'm not sure we would have been able to agree a refund on our own.
Altogether a great experience, before, during and after, and we very much look forward to our next African adventure with Penbury. We could not recommend them highly enough.

South Africa Trip 2024
Our trip to South Africa was a trip of a lifetime, and we cannot thank our travel planner, Tammy Harding, enough for putting together a great itinerary of accommodations and sightseeing tours! From the initial inquiry, Tammy was thorough and responsive. The trip details were outlined and communicated well. During our stay, all was taken care of, it was seamless! The different accommodations were all wonderful - with amazing service, particularly at Ilala Lodge, and Elephant Plains. Our favorite experience was at Elephant Plains, Game Lodge - the personalized service, to the beautiful accommodations, and of course, the ultimate experience with the daily game drives. The staff at Elephant Plains were wonderful - so attentive, so welcoming, and our Game Ranger, Darrin, was so knowledgeable, funny, and made it so memorable. Loved every minute!
