Everything we asked for at an affordable price, great service!
Just came back from our 10 days African experience. Heidi, our consultant, was beyond helpful to accommodate our wishes around our time and budget constraints. She is attentive and always responded in a timely manner to all our questions and changes requests. Every transfer, activities and accommodation was as described in the proposal. Tour guides were knowledgeable and professional, and the tours groups were only 4 people, almost private, for the most part. Thanks to Pembury's planning we covered a lot in the short time we had. Visiting Victoria Falls was a bonus and the two reserves she recommended were different but equally amazing. The lodge that she booked for us at Sabi Sands, Arathusa Lodge was excellent and a great way to finish our holiday. Great value for the money!

All tour arrangements met our expectations. Tour operators, drivers etc were punctual, courteous and helpful.
Accommodations were good and at Ngala tented safari camp and Simbambili were excellent. Included meals were top notch. And safaris exceeded expectations. We have excellent pictures of the big five and many more.

The Trip of a Lifetime
I've been dreaming of a trip to Africa since I was a child, with great expectations, and I was not disappointed.
From the very first email to Pembury Tours, everything was handled promptly and completely. Our personal tour consultant, Tammy Harding, patiently answered every question we asked, researched areas we were interested in and provided us with the confidence to move forward with the trip. Our stays at the Sanctuary Camps in Botswana and Zambia were exceptional, from the knowledgeable guides, to the camp staff, to the daily drives and the outstanding meals. And, each time we moved from one camp to the next, friendly and competent employees were there to take and receive us. Everything went off without a hitch. This indeed was my trip of a lifetime! We just got back from a trip to Zimbabwe and South Africa. I started planning this over a year ago with Kerry. Since we visited a number of places and we had a mix of wildlife and citylife as the focus of this trip, our itinerary had a number of moving pieces. Kerry took care of all aspects of this trip; be it an airport transfer, day tours with guides, safari bookings and air transfers. Everything that she helped plan was delightful. I am impressed with her excellent customer service skills, knowledge of the area and simply working patiently with clients to tailor the itinerary. We originally planned to go in 2016, but we had to change plan quite late on and then reorganise. Throughout it all Laurette at Pembury could not have been more helpful. We have been on so many holidays over the years, but this has probably been our best. The mix of locations, hotels, travel arrangements, varied scenery, experiences, people, safari, wildlife, city, service..... This is mostly due to the highly experienced, professional service from Pembury. Laurette, quite simply, is a master at what she does.

Adventure of a Lifetime
From the very beginning, I knew we would use Pembury to book our 2 week Sabi Sands Safari/Capetown/Winelands/Victoria Falls vacation. Tammy responded within 24 hours to any and all of my questions in great detail, and customized our trip based on our desires. From beginning to end, our visit went off without a hitch - including our various transfers between hotels and airports, meals, and air travel. The pacing was also perfect for my husband and me - we felt we had ample time to rest in between activities and never felt rushed. Tammy booked our safari at Idube in Sabi Sands Game Reserve - an experience that exceeded our expectations. By day 1, we had seen the big 5, and each subsequent game drive was thrilling. If you are seeking expert advice and individualized attention for a private safari vacation (and not have to worry about details), I would recommend Pembury in a heartbeat!

I was introduced to laurette through the staff at lalibela game reserve to help with planning the second part of our first visit to South Africa. She has been amazing! Her organisation and communication has been second to none and although British airways changed one of our flights at the last minute which meant our connections didn't work she rebooked our flights and hotel without us having to do anything! Excellent Customer Service and Customization
We were impressed with Pembury Tours from our first interaction with them, and our positive impression remained throughout the whole process of putting together our vacation up through the trip itself. At an early stage of planning to travel to southern Africa, we had a vague idea of what we wanted to see, do, and where to stay, and we thought we could plan this trip on our own. However, we were struggling on putting key pieces of our trip (especially the safari part) together. Thus, we decided to reach out to multiple tour companies for quotes.
Anya with Pembury Tours helped us put our small ideas into a grand plan, which ended up being a roughly 2 1/2 week trip through South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. At the outset, Anya put together a highly customized itinerary for us, and she worked with us to make small changes to it to make it our own. Through multiple emails, she asked us various questions and we provided her with an idea of what we wanted. Anya was always responsive and patient with us throughout the process, and ultimately planned a phenomenal vacation for us that started in Victoria Falls, continued on to Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Vilankulo in Mozambique, and finished in Johannesburg. Anya and Pembury Tours were also cognizant of our trip budget, and were willing to work with us to maximize our experience based on what we were looking to spend. For example, given that we had a lot of hotel points, we decided to use those for our hotel stays in the Cape Town region. Given this, we were not expecting Anya to help us out with the Cape Town leg at all. However, Anya was receptive to this, understood that we wanted to save some money, and recommended various tour options for us in that area and helped us book them. She also provided us with additional, helpful information for Cape Town, the wine lands, and Hermanus. A really nice thing that Anya and Pembury Tours did was to put together a book for us which included our itinerary, recommendations on what to see and where to go for each leg of the trip and for each day, animals we might see while on safari and on our whale watch in Hermanus, driving directions and maps, and a little bit of history on each place visited. This book, which was hand-delivered to us by one of our tour guides, was a very nice gesture from Pembury Tours that made us feel confident that we were going to have a great trip, very early on.
Our trip was memorable, relaxing, and exciting, all at the same time. We have Anya at Pembury Tours to thank for that. Should we decide to return to Africa in the future, we will not hesitate to reach out to Anya and Pembury Tours to help book our next trip there! We also plan to recommend Anya and Pembury Tours to our family and friends that are contemplating visiting Africa.

Awesome safari!
Tammy Harding from Pembury Tours took care of everything and exceeded all of our expectations. Fabulous itinerary and prompt communications leading up to our trip were expected, but Tammy followed up every question with a full, timely, and direct explanation to eliminate all our worries. Awesome. Melanie did a fabulous job!
We spent three nights in Victoria Falls, four nights at safari lodges ( eight game drives and saw the Big 5), four nights in Cape Town and a night in Franschhoek (wine country) . Everything went perfectly. Even the weather cooperated!
Melanie always responded to our emails promptly, we loved our hotels, our transfer drivers were always waiting for us on time at the airports and the guides throughout the trip were patient and knowledgeable. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.
