Pembury Tours was spectacular to work with. We had an unforgettable trip-- all details were arranged with care. Anya, our representative, worked with us to build a trip that highlighted the best of southern Africa. She gave excellent advice about where to spend our time and helped us meet our budget, without sacrificing quality. We made a few edits to the trip during the planning process and Anya made sure all of these decisions were made carefully. She was very communicative throughout the process.
All of our lodging was comfortable with warm, helpful staff, and the food at every location was exceptional (though we also had plenty of fantastic restaurant experiences). We had seamless air/driving transfers between destinations as well. Our assigned tour guides for relevant parts of the trip were friendly and knowledgeable and elevated the whole experience. And in a seemingly infinite pool of safari lodges/experiences, it's hard to imagine we could've been better situated.
Finally, though we rarely needed to contact Anya, she was seemingly always available for any questions or issues that came up while we were traveling.
I cannot recommend Pembury highly enough. When we visit again, there is no question we will be using their services.

We are just getting home from the most magical honeymoon with Pembury Tours! Big thank you to Anya for carefully planning such a special trip. As an LGBTQ couple, we had some concerns about how accepting certain African countries might be towards us, and Anya addressed our concerns with respect and trust, and planned a holiday where we felt safe to celebrate. So many magical memories we’ll look back on for a lifetime!!

Amazing!
Pembury tours was great. Kerry was our agent. She helped us arrange a tour of South and East Africa that was unforgettable. Everything was smooth and well organized and on the rare occasions where things did not go as planned, she was immediately available to sort things out (which was uncommon). We toured through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Rwanda and Tanzania over one month, and as you can imagine, this is quite a journey to map out, particularly with three kids, 11, 13 and 15.
Everyone had an unforgettable time and this trip will be indelibly etched in all of our memories forever. Horseback riding, wineries, penguins, Vic falls, seals, ATV rides on the salt plains to sleep under the stars, campfires, meercats, baobab trees, wildebeests crossing the mara, lion hunts, leopards under our car in Botswana, elephants and wildebeests so close you could touch them, MOUNTAIN GORILLAS (absolute highlight for sure), herds of wildebeests and zebras from a hot air balloon, crystal clear waters of zanzibar - the list goes on. What a trip! Can't recomend Kerry and Pembury highly enough. They were awesome!

After 3 years, finally our perfect trip thanks to Heidi!
Our trip to South Africa was organized by Heidi starting to work with our families at the end of 2019. We defined the tour on February 2020 then Covid started worldwide...we were quite sure to loose all the advanced payment but Heidi/Pembury Tours worked with lodges and hotels to save our money and finally in 2023 our dream came true! Services and locations were simply perfect! Heidi planned every details! We had some video calls during the prepartion phase and she perfectly understood all our different needings as group (4 adult + 4 teenagers and 1 girl 10 yrs old). She took care of every details, changing for instance one location some weeks before the trip because of recent reviews/experiences not so good in her opinion.
We met her personally and I strongly will suggest her and Pembury Tours as the ideal partner for travelling!

We have to say a huge thank you to you for organising such a wonderful trip for us, Anya. All the lodges we stayed in were beautiful, we got to see the Big 5 and had some of the best food we have ever eaten.
Cape Town was just as amazing with the shark cage diving, table mountain and the wine tasting. Every guide, meet and greet and transfer were super friendly and very helpful. The organisation was impeccable - we didn't have to think once!
We could not have had a more special time. We would highly recommended Pembury tours to anyone looking to craft a once in a lifetime trip to South Africa.

Kerry goes above and beyond!
We had the most amazing experience with Pembury Tours. We were a little worried because most of our planning was done over email but when we arrived to South Africa everything was planned and paid for as promised. There were no surprises in price etc. Our trip was incredibly organized and so much fun!! It was catered to our exact requests. We had a private driver who also served as our tour guide while in Cape Town, she was lovely. Kerry was always in touch and quick to respond to us if we had any concerns (there weren't many!). This trip was so well put together that we weren't stressed at all. The itinerary we had scheduled was also flexible day by day depending on what we wanted to do, which was such a nice benefit. We will 100% be using Pembury Tours again and have already recommended it to the people we know who are planning to visit Africa. Thank you so much to Kerry for your efforts in making our honeymoon memorable. We can't wait to come back to Africa.

Fantastic holiday organised by Heidi
We booked a holiday of a lifetime to South Africa with Heidi Bedford of Pembury tours in 2019 but it took over three years to get there due to Covid and my father’s ill health causing postponements, but it was worth the wait. Everything about the holiday was superb. The itinerary Heidi put together ,and the choice of accommodation was perfect. Even though the weather worked against us and we didn’t get to go up Table Mountain or go on the Whale Watching tour at Hermanus, this didn’t spoil things for us as Ian Campbell-White, our guide in Cape Town, made our time with him so interesting and we saw so many whales from the coast at Hermanus from our fabulous sea view room that we had at the Marine Hotel.
We really enjoyed our visit to Franschhoek and our stay at the Avondrood Guest House was lovely. It is such an interesting property, unlike anywhere we have stayed before, and the day spent wine tasting using the Franschhoek Tram was unforgettable.
The two lodges that we stayed at in Kruger, Elephant Plains and &Beyond Ngala Tented, were exceptional, both from the point of view of superb hospitality and the excellent guides and trackers ensuring that every game drive was a new and exciting experience. We got to see so much wildlife and take so many photos and videos. Something for us to enjoy now we are back home again.
We were on a tight schedule for our flight back to the UK after leaving Kruger but Heidi had kindly arranged an escort at Cape Town airport to ensure a smooth connection onto our BA flight home, after flying in from Hoedspruit airport; we really appreciated this additional service as this reduced any stress we might have had if we had been at risk of missing our flight.
We will have no hesitation in recommending Heidi and Pembury Tours to any friends or family who express an interest in an African holiday and should we be lucky enough to be able to return to Africa again for a future holiday we will certainly use Pembury Tours again.

Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to deal with!
Doing a multiple leg journey with various arrivals and departures of our travel party from different countries at different times and dates, Kerry at Pembury tours co-ordinated everything and ensured that we were all well taken care of. She arranged transfers which were were all on time with fantastic friendly drivers and the overnight accommodation that she arranged for our stopovers was a mini holiday in itself! So much better than just staying over at an airport hotel! Our trip involved travel between 5 Countries: United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique. We had an extra special touch of a helicopter transfer from and to Bazaruto Island which was the icing on the cake! We kept making changes to our itinerary prior to finalising, which Kerry just took in her stride liaising with the various hotels and airlines to ensure that our travel plans remained in tact and everything she did was seamless. I would highly recommend Pembury Tours and would certainly use them again! Kerry was amazing!

Amazing!
Tammy Harding is AMAZING! She booked our group of 4 from the USA to Cape Town, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Sabi Sands and Johannesburg. The trip was absolutely amazing! The entire trip was PERFECT. We had no issues whatsoever. She had everything so well organized and was very informative throughout the booking. We had many questions as 3 of us had never been to Africa and she was so patient and kind and answered every question. She is very knowledgeable in what she does. I would highly recommend her and if I ever have the chance to visit Africa again she would be my first call.

Excellent, professional and responsive
We wanted to put together a SA trip incorporating Cape Town, a wedding in the winelands and a safari. Having never visited South Africa before we were keen to get someone else to do the organisation. Tammy from Pembury Tours was just amazing from start to finish. She put together an itinerary based around our budget and requests, one of which was the fact that we didn't want to do self drive, but also had some great suggestions of her own. It was a fantastic holiday - everything ran seamlessly, drivers arrived, trips happened, and although Tammy was always in contact via Whatsapp we really didn't need her as she had organised the trip so well. Highlights for us were Franschoek, a perfect wedding destination and wonderful accomodation at La Cotte farm, and the four nights we spent on safari at Lailebela game reserve, staying at Kichaka Lodge. We loved everything about trip and really hope to return. I can't recommend Pembury highly enough.
