Machame 7 Day Kilimanjaro Trek
5/5

We had a fantastic experience climbing Kilimanjaro with Mega Adventures. We turned up in Moshi unsure of which tour company to use, and the owner of the Kilimanjaro Grand Hostel (Mandela) sorted it all out and we left the next day. The equipment they use is top notch and was either near or brand new. The food was incredible and they catered for both me (flexitarian) and my partner (vegetarian). The walking was tough but you're encouraged to go pole pole (slow). Our guides were great and very patient with my super pole pole pace. Our assistant guide, Ramadan, carried my bag without complain when I was tired. All of the staff were welcoming and just plain lovely. Special shout out to our assistant chef Izack, who was wonderful (and will be an amazing guide next year). We can't thank Mega Adventures enough for the adventure of a lifetime and a huge highlight of our holiday.

Mega safari with Megaadventures
5/5

We had a great time with Megaadventures, since they managed to plan for us a special and adventurous safari as we had dreamed about and asked for. The experiences we lived are unique and most of tourists we met there could never image what they lost choosing another agency for their safari (e.g. walking safaris for hours, tents in the middle of nowhere with wild animals going around)! And Ally was the best guide & driver ever!!
Ps. Delicious food with our chef Masawe!!

6-day Kilimanjaro route & 6-day Safari...the most unforgettable and amazing experiences of my life!
5/5

Me and my friend Cathy showed up at Kilimanjaro Grand Hostel with the idea of looking for and compare tour operators to do the Lemosho route in Kilimanjaro, and our dreamed-since-childhood safari. After meeting Mandela, the owner of the hostel, and Mohamed, the manager of Mega Adventures, we were convinced that they were the perfect people to trust and to arrange our big adventures with them. Not only they devote their lives to offer the most wonderful experience ever, but also part of the benefits that they obtain are dedicated to Komboa organization, founded by Mandela. This was one of the main reasons to choose our trek and safari with them. Also, they gave us such confidence that we didn't even look for another option.

We started with the trek, and got the best possible guides ever, Mathey and Roy, probably two of the most experienced people at Kilimanjaro. The main guide, Mathey, has summited more than 400 times! They, and the rest of the team (cook and porters) took care of us as if we were family. Even if we couldn't have lunch or dinner all together, we enjoyed the interaction that we had with all the team. Thanks to them we achieved our goal with no problem! Initially we were shocked by the luxury at the mountain, that we were not expecting at all, like the amazingly elaborated food that we got every day.

After coming back from Kili, we started our 6-day safari (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro), with Ally as driver and guide, and Massawe as cook. If we thought that the food at Kili was good, we had no words to describe the cuisine of Massawe! He really has a talent! And Ally is a wonderful guide, and his skills driving are beyond expectations. Everything was perfectly organized! We had two walking safaris that were amazing, we enjoyed tea around a campfire in Tarangire, we camped in Lobo (an astonishing location at Serengeti), we saw the gnus crossing the Mara river in the border with Kenya, we saw hundreds of animals...it felt like a dream come true! Everything was just perfect and beautiful. And on top of this great experience, what I also took back home was the certainty that I have now good friends in Moshi (Mandela, Silvia, Mohamed, Ally...) that I'm looking forward to seeing again!

Incredible experience, more than we expected
5/5

We enjoyed every minute in the safari
Our guide was superb, and also, the cooker
Both trying every time, things easy going.
Acomodation was good, in beautifull places.
We liked also the activities, quite different from other safaris, as people told us.
The guide made a great effort, to show us the big five, and finally we got it.
The best Safari company

A fantastic trip to Northern Tanzania
5/5

Mo and his team at Mega Adventures were really accommodating. Having travelled though East Africa a lot with work over the past few years, it was a pleasure to be introduced to this company. I travelled through the Northern Highlands with the team and all I can say is, great food, great guide, great experience. Would recommend Mega Adventures to friends and family in the future. Very well organised, nothing was too much trouble. The team looked after me and my friends the whole time and we left relaxed and happy. Brilliant value for money too for such a high quality experience. Cheers guys!

5 Day Safari
5/5

We were advised and chose the 5 Day Safari as it gave us a chance to go to three parks Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoru and spend a decent amount of time in them taking into account the amount of time it takes on the road to go between the parks and Moshi.
The guide Ally was fantastic and managed to push in wherever possible so we managed to see an amazing amount of game , including the Leopard and the Leopard Tortoise. He taught my Daughters swahili so well that they knew more after a week that I did after 10 weeks. The converted Landrover Defender transport for 4 was very comfortable and gave a great view especially when the roof was open.
The rates were good , head office staff gave great advice as to where to go afterwards and rented us the Landrover for another 7 days.
All in all my family had the trip of a life time from to vastness of the Serengeti to the beaches of Pangani.
