acz safari is the way to go!
jambo John ,the tour operator is a hands on type guy who will do anything(Including offering to by you a guiness) to make sure your safari meets your expectations. From the Nairobi hotel he recommended(I highly recommend the kwezha)The personal tour he took me on in Nairobi(the elephant orphanage, the giraffe shelter and the cultural was great and highly recommended. The night staying with Alex with his family in the Masai village ,eating and sleeping with these precious people, was the highlight of my time in Kenya.I would recommend staying at the manyatta Lodge or the sopa. The budget choice was not worth the savings. If you can get 2 to 3 couples to go with you. You'll make memories to last a lifetime.I was on my own and had a Kansas grad on my safari which was fun as we had just knocked them off in the NCAA's on the way to a national championship ( i told her we'd go easy on them next year;NOT)so either way you'll have a great time.you won't regret choosing acz for your 3 day safari

Great Experience
It was indeed a great experience. Joshua (driver/guide) did a great job showing us many animals at Masai Mara, including 4 of the big 5. John (organizer) was very responsive to my E-mails, accommodated the payment methods I chose, and our last minute reservation.
We took the cheapest option, and the accommodation was not that bad. The tent is elevated, so you're not on the ground; here's an ensuite bathroom; no wifi; electricity is only for a couple hours in the morning and then 6.30-10pm. The tents were clean, bugs free.
Would do it again.

Great safari experience in every way!
We always got a quick reply to questions and were given all the information we needed ahead of time. Our driver/guide (Isaac) was excellent ... knowledgeable, funny, careful with driving and a very nicy guy. We stayed in tented camp because it was an inexpensive option. All the tents are under a solid roof so are protected from any rain. Our tent had 2 single beds with good matresses/pillows and were comfortable. At the back of each tent is an "en suite" bathroom area. It's basic but does the job: 3 sections: toilet/sink/shower. The food is provided buffet style in the dining room with a bar area and a place to charge your phone. The staff were great!!
The safari itself did not disappoint. We visited in the rainy season (but there was no rain!!) and before the wildebeest migration so the grass was high ... but we saw many many of the parks animals ... highlights were being 2-3 metres away from a pair of lions, watching another group of lion eating dinner (a zebra), seeing elephants ambling along, 2 zebras having a playful fight, as well as seeing the giraffes, hippos, buffalos, hartebeest, impala, baboons, warthogs and tons more ... and all agaisnt the glorious backdrop of the parks wide open spaces and beauty.
We visited a Masai village, went into the home of the guide (who was excellent!!) and met his family while he told us about the Masai way of life ... a real highlight!
Overall ... a fabulous experience ... if you get a chance (even in the rainy season which is supposedly the low season) grab it!!! Thank you African Comfort Zone Safaris!!

My experience with ACZ Safaris felt like walking down the red carpet from the booking to my return.
This was my second safari to Kenya after 30 years. I took my friend and 13 year old daughter which was their first safari. The initial contact and booking with ACZ Safaris was so simple online. I emailed what I wanted to do. Jon wrote back with suggestions and prices. I easily posted my deposit and sent them my travel itinerary. They had a driver pick us up at the airport delivering me to 2 nights at our hotel to rest up for our safari and to see some sights around Nairobi. We visited the farm of Karen Blixen, David Sheldrick elephant orphanage, and Nairobi National Park. The driver Martin was extremly courteous, knowlegeable and patiently answered every question we had. We saw the Masai Mara and the beqinning of the great migration. Had wonderful food and accomidations for 2 nights. Then on to Lake Nukuru to look for rhinos. We did and completed the hunt for the BIG FIVE which does not happen on every safari. The rest of the trip was just icing on the cake. We drove down to the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro in Amboselli National Park for 2 nights with a talented private Chef Frederick . The game drive and views were thrilling. We then drove to the famous Treetops Lodge for one night in Aberdare National Park where Princess Elizabeth was notified she was Queen upon her fathers death. The accomodations, food and views of the game were beyond what I expected. It had been nicely upgraded since I last stayed there but still had the characteristics that make it famous. The lodge had their hunter take us on a walking safari not only to see the wildlife but also explained some of the medical uses of the flora. That night they turned the flood lights on the saltlick for the guests to enjoy watching the game comfortably from a lookout. The next morning ACZ took us to Thompson Falls to see the waterfalls and have lunch. They drove us safely to the airport in Nairobi. I can't recommend this company enough. Being from the travel industry myself and being old school for customer service that you don't experience much anymore. This company goes over and beyond any promises they make. I was made to feel comfortable at all times and my safety and enjoyment was always number one with them. Everything was a thousand times better than I expected and I still can't get over their attention to every detail. My friend was so impressed too. My daughter had fun and got an education about another world, animals and travel that I can't provide at home or school.

Unforgettable experience!
These guys responded quickly to my questions via email and offered the perfect Safari for me at a great price. The driver and his colleagues were very resourceful and found plenty of animals at every game drive, we even saw a Leopard and a Cheetah in addition to the usual group of animals. Beginning of June was great because there were few tourists, although we missed the Wildebeest migration by a couple of weeks, but it was still worth it. What an unforgettable experience! Want to go back for more!

This was the best vacation I've ever taken; exceeding all my expectations.
This trip was easily booked online and via email. We chose from a variety of tour locations offered to determine the duration of our stay. We chose a six day tour with an added seventh day at a special location. The price was very affordable, and included everything: airport to airport transportation, all meals, all entry fees, all accommodations, and our private guide(s). I expected to see wildlife, but I was astonished at the variety and numbers of animals we saw.
We started our stay in Nairobi with pickup at the airport and a night in a very nice hostel with rooftop restaurant/bar. We met other travelers there: some coming and some leaving. In the morning we toured the national park outside Nairobi where we were treated to an elephant rescue orphanage, a giraffe sanctuary, and tour of Karen Blixen's estate. A thrilling first day.
The next morning we drove to the Masai Mara, a vast game preserve and tribal homeland. We stayed in a rustic camp in large tents. Not too rustic, as each tent has several beds and a private bathroom with hot showers. The electricity was limited to 5 hours per night. It is funny to watch the tourists scramble to recharge their mobile phones. Meals were served in the dining hall. One family we met opted to stay at a luxury resort/spa nearby because they had 3 and 5 year old children. So, the choice of accommodations is entirely up to you. We rather liked the tents. We spent two days here on photo safari all day. This was the most thrilling experience! Our guide, Martin, was expert at finding game. His skills seemed to surpass all the other guides, even though they all do cooperate when game is sighted. On this plain, the guides are free to drive into the bush to get close to the game, and Martin did. We saw most of the big game animals here, and very close up. No telephoto lenses needed here. I photographed elephants, Masai giraffes, lions, cheetah, leopards, pumba, hyena, dik dik, Thompson's gazelle, zebra, wildebeest, and more. We were so lucky that the great wildebeest migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara began two weeks early, so we were able to see the hordes of wildebeest and zebra moving across the landscape to cross the river into Kenya. It is one of the great wonders of the world.
The next day we headed for Lake Nakuru game park. There we saw the white rhino and Rothschild's giraffes. You will not believe how big they are up close. There was also great bird watching there, giant storks and cranes, and beautiful vistas. We stayed in a nice hotel in town for this leg of the trip. Then we were off to Amboseli Game Park in southeast Kenya. It was a long drive, but one of our group had requested it specially, so we went. It was well worth the trek, as it lies in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Here we saw hippos up close, many very large elephants, zebra, and many more bird species. We stayed in a tent camp again in this park, also very nice tents with electricity and private baths. ACZ safaris brought along chef Frederick to cook for us, so we were really pampered by John and Martin from ACZ safaris. I can't express how much their presence enhanced our stay in Kenya. These guys are very nice people who go out of their way to make the trip spectacular. They are with us every step of the way, and they really know their stuff. They are great game guides, but also know the plants and birds and people. It really adds to the appreciation of all that Kenya has to offer.
On our last night, we travelled back to north central Kenya to stay at a luxury resort. Treetops is a famous British lodge next to a watering hole. Here we stayed in 4 star luxury where you can view game outside your bedroom window as the animals come to the watering hole to drink. If rustic safari is not to your taste, then treetops is for you. My friend woke me in the night to see a pair of black rhino come to drink. They came after the water buffalo and elephants had gone for the night. A pack of 5 hyena also came to drink. I hated to sleep for fear of missing something. As a bonus, on the way back to the airport, John and Martin took us to see Thompson falls. A beautiful waterfall where we were treated to tribal dancers and local shopkeepers.
If the idea of a safari appeals to you even a little, you must go. It will exceed all your expectations many times over. We are veteran travelers of many countries and many cruises, so when I say this was the trip of a lifetime, I mean it. The memories of the sights and the people will last all my life. I highly recommend ACZ safaris. These guys are tops in their field, and very nice people too.
