Terribly dissapponted by our agent ,from transport, hotel bookings and check in ,he was just off
We were truly dissappointed on our first experience booking with bonfire to Diani Baobab.
1.Transport -
a)On arrival at Miritini 3am ,we had a pickup challenge ,2 different guys having our contacts ,ready 2 pick us up and confusing us .We couldnt reach our agent for clarification. So frustrating .
b)The one transport means we settled for was so old and uncomfortable. This was after making so many calls with differents guys .
3. Checking in-Upon arrival ,we were not able to be checked in since our agent had not communicated to us that the hotel checkin time is 10am and we couldnt access the all inclusive facility as his early communication until checked in .Mind you we reached the hotel 5am ,only to wait at the reception till 10 am.
Having to pay an extra cost to access breakfast yet we could have done flights and got to the hotel in good time with no challenges .Old parents and kids tired after a long trip in the night .Then wait for long hours to check in.
-Clear communication on checking timings should be passed to clients
-Agent should not rush in closing business
- Agent should confirm about laggages and maximum kgs to br carried per person .Some of us had to pay extra for laggage.

Excellent services
We went to maasai mara and booked by Annabel. She communicated very well and followed on us at every step of our journey.
Our guide John was very jovial and very knowledgeable . Went to Maasai cultural village and we lit the fire using twigs.
This is the best safari and Bonfire adventures is the company to book again and again . We have referred our friends to the company

Great Customer Service & Excellent Planning
Kudos Ann, Nakuru Branch for excellent planning. Everything ran as planned to Dubai and back. I highly recommend Bonfire Adventures & Events Ltd.
Excellent & knowledgeable
This was our first time to be served by Bonfire and i would love to be served again by Bonfire. Our driver Jimnah(sp) managed our time and we had a tour the very day we checked in. We had 1st dinner & really enjoyed the good service from the Emayian Luxury Camp staff. Their hospitality from welcoming Masai worriers was super.
Our driver who was multitasking as pilot and tour guides was really good. He made sure that we even featured ostrich eggs Congratulation to Jimnah.

Unprofessional Tour Operator - suspect him of cheating on money
The driver and the guide (not sure if the person was a guide as he did not volunteer with any information or describe any game through the two and a half days) couldn’t have been worse . Took us more than 10 hours to reach Emaiyan Camp from Nairobi , as we were brought in from an inconvenient road - Sekenani Gate is what should have been used , we came through Talek gate (which you must avoid if you are getting to your stay place). As we reached the gate at 5 pm (after starting at 830 am at Nairobi airport - we did breaks of about 60-90 mins total on the way) , the driver took a transit pass - which is free of charge . However , our driver took 100 USD per person (5 of us were there ) - taking money like this is cheating (to me !) .
Emaiyan Camp was great - always out to make you comfortable . And the game sightings were also great - made for a great trip overall , despite bonfire !

Honest, Reliable & Efficient
This was our first time using Bonfire Adventures. As a citizen of Kenya living abroad, I thought I was in a good position to navigate scheduling a tour to The Mara & Diani, but ended up reaching out to Bonfire after encountering a couple of complexities. Bonfire managed my bookings for both resorts including booking the flights via Jambo Jet. They made the process very easy, and sent us updates on the payments. They also made meaningful recommendations based on the experiences we were looking for and our price point.
Moses, our driver and guide to the Mara had a great personality and he was very invested in making sure that we got to see different animals. We really had a great time.
I will definitely be using Bonfire again, let the team with the expertise navigate the process on my behalf. I actually paid less compared to how much the hotels and resorts quoted me directly. Long post alert :). Thank you Bonfire team.

It was a great Masaii Mara Safari. Great Guide, tour agent!Great
Friends recommended Ann in the Nakuru office, she was the best. She really went the extra mile to get us the best driver, the best package for our budget, and the dates we wanted to travel. The driver and tented hotel we stayed at was perfect. Safe, good food, good amenities, and the wildlife driving to and from the camp was plentiful. She managed to get a Masaii guide to travel with the driver and that added to the experience. We saw the big 5, and plenty of other animals. The driver knew exactly where to go to find the animals we wanted to see.

Excellent services
My family and I had a very good time in Africa. Bonfire Adventures planned this for us and we thank our guide James Gechena who went extra mile for us to see all animals we anticipated.
From the planning , to payment and safari itself , it was flawless. Our agent Maureen did a commendable job.
We will recommend Bonfire adventures to our friends in the US.
The highlight was the maasai cultural village where we witnessed the culture.
Also the Big 5 and Jame’s Humour

Unprofessional travel agency
The travel agent I had did not pay attention to details, she got me mixed up with another client which caused delays in payment. Bonfire does not accept credit card payment from foreign travelers, agent also gave me wrong information about Safari itinerary over a phone call, may be that’s the reason why she did not send me an itinerary. I would not recommend Bonfire Adventures to foreigners who live outside of Kenya.
