A boyhood dream come true.
Wow!! I have travelled a lot. This was one of my top 5. We saw everything, up close and often.
RAS do the boring things, like organise the trip, exceedingly well. Speedily and efficiently.
Our guide, Jaco, what a hero! He saved our trip and went the extra mile and kilometer to make it
as enjoyable as possible. His enthusiasm was infectious, his knowledge enlightening and his company, thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you Jaco, eat well!!

Great safari and guide
Very knowledgeable and great guide. Personalized experience. The company is very flexible to adapt last minute to anything within what is possible. We saw the big 5 in a matter of hours!

A real trip of a lifetime, for learning, understanding, appreciating wildlife as a natural gift
Highly recommended it anyone. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.. Wouldn't recommended to see Sth Africa and Kruger Park without a guide that has Jaco experience, passion and professionalism regarding wildlife and tourism.
Seen all the important animals in our safari and the guided tours in the way for Kruger was excellent too - ended up in a most beautiful waterfall that I couldn't help myself but has to swim in it.
Looking fwd to Jaco sharing some of the pics he took of our trip.

Organised, reliable and knowledgable and went out of their way to give us a great experience.
The reason I chose Red Africa Safaris above all the other companies was the great communication I got from Amelia who responded to every question (and I had lots) in a timely and professional manner. Our guide for the Safari - Jaco was professional, courteous and supremely knowledgeable. Our safari was great because of all the sights and animals we saw, but also because of his company and the way he shared his experiences with us. I can't imagine how any other company could provide a better experience and I truly hope to come back and many more trips with Red Africa Safaris.
Great Experience
I had a private tour guide with Jaco and I spent the whole five days with him. With Jaco I got a nice cool friend and we connected also through Facebook and I told him to let me know when he will be visiting Europe.
Great experience!

A mixed experience
We opted for a 5 days private reserve tour + Panorama route with RedAfrica.
Overall, we have to highlight that it was very pleasant to spend time in Jaco’s company: he is a highly dedicated and motivated person eager to do his best to share his passion of nature and his knowledge. We greatly enjoyed our exchanges with him throughout the trip and his respectful attitude towards us.
The first part of our tour – the gorgeous landscapes that we saw along the Panorama route – was just great.
However, the private reserve part of the tour was unfortunately disappointing: the area, which was described as located in the Greater Kruger ecosystem and thus hosting the same animal and bird species, was highly affected by the recent draught, which forced the animals to migrate elsewhere; a factor which we were not aware of prior to our trip. During our stay in the private reserve, we thus saw extremely few animals. Moreover, the information and time management by the reserve staff was not entirely satisfying, which added to our overall frustration.
Afraid of leaving Kruger disappointed, we requested Jaco to change the plan for the last day of our trip and spend it in Kruger proper instead of the private reserve. Luckily, Jaco was flexible and accepted this last minute change. This last day trip (although a rushed one) enabled us to see almost all of the Big Five in one day and somehow compensated for the frustration related to the impossibility to see animals during the previous days.

Posted on Apr 29, 2016This Private reserve is in the Greater Kruger Park which is situated on the banks of the Elephants River, where we normally have great sightings, we were there with other clients 3 days before this trip who had excellent sightings from which we received a very good review (like all our other reviews). We’ve had unpredictably late summer rains here in South Africa at the time which caused the animals to hide from the wind and rain and in turn caused less than normal sightings. These animals are truly wild and freely moving in the Greater Kruger Park causing unpredictable sightings.
The river came down in full flood the previous evening that forced the lodge management to postpone the scheduled river safari to the next day due to safety reasons, we had to then do a bushwalk which started a little later than usual as this was unplanned. Unfortunately the walk was also cut short by 10 minutes due to heavy rain, causing poor visibility and a safety risk.
Unfortunately we have no control over nature and it's effects that from time to time causes less sightings because animals will hide from wind and rain and they move freely in the greatest wilderness area in Southern Africa. We and whichever lodge we use at the time may change the itinerary if needed due to safety reasons or changing weather conditions.
We wish all of our clients a good experience and feel sorry if it's not the case, we cannot control nature even if we sometimes wish we can. Video testimonials on our website can testify of the great experiences pervious clients had at this specific lodge.

An awesome, inspiring Safari, lead by a knowledgeable, sensitive and efficient Guide ......
We had looked forward to the Safari , knowing it was a dream coming true, but almost as soon as we met our Guide, and chatted during our first day's driving, we knew we were in for an amazing time!
In the lead up to Departure, the communication between Red Africa and ourselves was very prompt and all our questions were answered graciously.
The service and attention we received was friendly and generous and all our accommodation was of a high standard.
Our safari was built around our original requests, and we found a lot of effort had gone into ensuring our hopes and personal interests were met. It more than met our expectations and we hope to one day plan another Safari with Red Africa! Thank you very much for such a marvelous Safari!!
