Great adventure - super reliable - we can definitely recommend it!
We're still overwhelmed by Fleet Foot Safaris.
Our first journey together with them was in 2014. We went to SA, Botswana and Mozambique that time. Everything was planned super well.
We therefore decided booking with them a self driving camping safari in Namibia this year.
On the part of the office an unbeatable preparation and attention. Hennie, Elmor and Elaine quickly and professionally answered all our emails, answering all our questions. They also took care of all our special wishes.
The car, a Toyota Hilux, was in an excellent shape for long drives, poor roads and even some deep sand sessions.
It was equiped with absolutely everything you need for camping.
We can definitely recommend them any time!

Great time!
My sister and I wanted to visit South Africa for a safari. From the beginning, Fleet Foot Safari was the most communicative of the Safari companies I emailed. They answered my questions very quickly and were very professional. They followed up with additional confirmations as well as a final itinerary and when I arrived, a day before we were to start, they sent a welcome email as well!
Our guide was Elmor and he was great! He took care of everything. We stopped for lunch on the way to the first Safari location, had breaks and coffee, etc., too. He introduced us to biltong (South African beef jerky type) and answered our many questions.
The accommodations chosen were really nice as one was a a small private camp and another was in Kruger frequented by South Africans. In the later, it had a kitchenette, which Elmor prepared our meals.
I can not imagine having a better experience than the one we had. It was fantastic and we saw a lot of animals. I can't wait to go again! Fleet Foot Safari provides a worthwhile and memory filled experience.

Adventurous and fun
It was an amazing family trip. We lived wonderful experiences. From elephants in the night near our tent, the roars of lions and the hearing the hippos going out to eat at night. We will never forget the breathtaking sunset. We loved the boat safari on the delta and the many game drives. Hennie and Elmare were the best guides ever!

We would highly recommend Fleet Foot Safari to plan your African adventure!
We can’t say enough good things about Fleet Foot Safaris! Both Hennie and Elmor provided us with the top of the line service from the start of our travel planning to the end of our two-week African trip. They provided us with very detailed itinerary and travel information which was extremely helpful.
We traveled to South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwa, Namibia and Botswana. When arriving in Cape Town, Elmor picked us up and drove us to our well-located B&B. The next two days he was our Cape Town guide. Elmor is very familiar with the Cape Peninsula and the sites of Cape Town. We enjoyed our time spent with Elmor as he is very knowledgeable and fun to be with.
During our trip we visited Victoria Falls, went on safaris in Botswana and South Africa and self-drove through the Panoramic Route.
Fleet Foot Safari arranged all our flights, accommodations and rental car while we were in Africa. Everything went smoothly and as planned. We knew that we could call on either Elmor or Hennie if we ran into any trouble.
We would highly recommend Fleet Foot Safari if you are planning a trip to Africa!

Thank you
We couldn’t be happier with fleet foot safari, they were great and easy to deal with, very professional. The itinerary that was really good, this was our first time in Africa and we really enjoyed our time. We got to spend time with Fleet Foot team for a couple of days while we were there and they were amazing people! We had a great time, tons of laughs, everyone was very personable. At the end of the trip, we didn’t only had a fantastic time, we also have also made some good friends, and hopefully we will get to see you guys again soon! Thank you so much for everything.
Fantastic trip to Victoria Falls and Botswana with Fleet Foot Safaris
We travelled with Fleet Foot Safaris from Victoria Falls to Botswana and it was a fantastic experience. Nature and wildlife were amazing! Our trip was very well organized with a great mixture of nice lodges and bush camping, exciting game drives and relaxed evenings around the fire with a glass of an excellent wine from South Africa. The food deserves special praise. You get your three course top quality dinner beautifully served in the middle of the bushes with all the nature and wildlife around you. Unbelievable! But the best thing I liked about Fleet Foot Safaris was that Hennie and his team brought some special atmosphere and personal attitude which made the whole trip unforgettable.

Kruger safari good but expensive but the Go Self Drive Tour arranged by the same owner disappointing
Hennie was a superb safari guide. He was a fine host and it was a great 3 day safari. His company Go Self Drive Tours provided us with an itinerary driving from Joberg to CT. It was poorly planned with many navigation mistakes; drives were too long and we felt unsafe often. The car provided was inadequate for the terrain as roads in SA are very poor. Throughout our 4 weeks of driving we were warned repeatedly of corruption, theft and being in unsafe areas. We were heavily charged for mediocre accommodation. We have travelled expensively and this trip was stressful and we would not recommend for anyone from a First World country to do a Self Drive tour in South Africa. It is not a safe country. Don’t do it!!
Reply from Fleet Foot Safaris
Posted on Mar 6, 2020We agree that the area this client wanted to travel is not the safest in South Africa and the client was informed of that before the tour started. The problem the client had with the navigation is because they could not manage the GPS after we spend time to process the directions on the system before the tour and explained to them how it works. They were also not comfortable with hard-copy maps and that the client, explained to us herself while on tour with them. We ask clients to download MAPS.ME before coming on tour so to make use of the information off-line as most of the areas they traveled did not have reception or WiFi.
The client chose the route they wanted to travel. All links for accommodation were given before the tour comments and the price for the establishment are available on the web. The client had a budget and though we were trying to persuaded them to go for at least 3* Accommodation they just stick to what they are prepared to pay. The client's in-ability to navigate with the road maps, GPS and detailed Maps was surely the downfall.

Fleet Foot made the trip one of the best trips I have ever done. (team and the natural beauty)
The Fleet Foot team organized a fantastic trip through Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The countries were amazing in their wildlife and the possibilities to get close to them while being in remote areas. The evenings in the lodges were good but especially the bush camping added an extra element to the experience. Sitting around the campfire enjoying great food and wine and that in the middle of the nature and no fences. What a special feeling that was. The team definitely added to the whole trip experience with their professionalism. They became way more than just Tourguides. Will be planning a next trip with them soon.

A truly amazing experience!!
We went with Fleet Foot Safaris on our 2 week Africa vacation with destinations including Victoria Falls, Chobe, Capetown, and Kruger. Hennie, Elmor, Jaco, and Lionel are the best!! They are the best hosts, travel agents, guides, and chefs, all rolled into one. The team worked with us to plan a multi-segment trip for our group of 12. They arranged for our stay in places which were really nice, our activities were well planned , and they were very open to making changes as needed. They anticipated and took care of all our needs, for instance, Elmor stocked our apartments with fruit and water by the time we checked in. And Hennie cooked and arranged some of the fanciest breakfasts and dinners. Their knowledge of wildlife, history, politics and current events in South Africa is impressive. Strongly recommend using their services for your vacation planning.
