3N Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth
5/5

Flew to Entebbe the night before the Gorilla trek. Accommodation at the outdoor tent (budget trip) was very nice! We stayed in that place for 2 nights. Following morning we began the trek early morning, suggestions for clothing, long pants to avoid the ants from crawling in, good camera, decent walking shoes, (sneakers with a good sole are okay). The overall experience of the trekking was amazing, a bit rigorous if you're out of shape, but very beautiful scenery. Dan was overall a great leader, very attentive to satisfying our needs. The third night we stayed at a different location. For a budget trip, the place was okay, it's a small lodge and the fan wasn't that strong for the room, the bathroom situation was also a little odd, but it's understandable for budget. The fish we had for dinner that night at the small lodge was very good though. From there we drove to Queen Elizabeth National Park and we were able to see a lion. There was a lot of driving involved which we were aware of, so for those who'd rather cut out that time, I would suggest flying into Kigali if visiting Bwindi. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the gorilla trek the most, and the packed lunches for out trip from the tent/lodge were very good. Dan is also easily accessible when you reach out to him with questions which is a plus.

Amazing trip- planned efficiently, with timely and friendly communication and passion for Uganda.

Kisoro tours helped us plan a wonderful 8 day trip with gorilla treks, chimpanzee trek, a drive through Queen Elizabeth NP and a 3 day trek of Rwenzori. Plans had to be changed in the last minute due to troubles in Congo which was also part of our itinerary. Dan was efficient and quick with his emails, adjusting to our needs and the last minute changes were smooth and went without a hitch. Definitely recommend them.

3 Day Trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park
5/5

We had a fantastic trip to Western Uganda with Dan. We saw lots of wildlife - leopard, lions, elephants, hippos, mongoose, buffalo, crocodiles...and loads of bird-life. The accommodation was very good - really spacious and comfortable. The staff were excellent. The food was really good. Dan was a brilliant guide - I would definitely recommend going with Kisoro Tours.

If you get the chance to go gorilla trekking in Uganda don’t pass it up! It is an amazing experience. You get to get up close to these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.

Outstanding and reliable service with very nice guides

I'm just back from a 5 day trip with Kisoro tours.
This trip was over 6 months in the planning with me talking to several companies before i selected Dan from kisoro tours.

I was looking for a specific trip that would be interesting for me.
After numerous emails,Dan and I worked together to form the perfect itinerary.
Booking was simple and Dan provided exactly what we agreed-plus more.
My main guide for the trip was Milton who was outstanding. An educated and honourable man,Milton was a pleasure to be with.He is a wealth of information with an infectious sense of humour-he loved to share the adventure-he loves life.

Another shout out to Innocent who is another guide from kisoro tours.I met him briefly and had a great time.

In conclusion,my trip with kisoro tours was 100% success and cannot find any negative things to say about them or my trip.
I am happy for anyone to contact me with any questions.

Enjoyable safari vacation.

We had a good time visiting Uganda. We saw the chimpanzees in Kibale, lions and other animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and zebras in Lake Mburo. The highlight was our time with the gorillas in Bwindi. Dan - thank so much!

Dan is a capable driver and a very entertaining travelling companion.

I was visiting an agricultural project that my organisation supports and Dan drove us from Entebbe to Mbale, then around the area and back to Entebbe. He is very reliable and knows all the side roads to ensure that he gets you there on time. Dan is a very good planner and he is always happy to accommodate his clients' needs. He is knowledgeable and entertaining and he also knows when to just enjoy some quiet moments which made him a great travelling companion on a rather long and not particularly adventurous ride. Highly recommended!

Incredible Service and Attention to Customers
5/5

We booked gorilla permits through Kisoro Tours Uganda and we could not be happier with the experience. We elected to drive a rented car ourselves from Kigali to Kisoro, but were unaware that the Cyanika border closes at 8pm everyday. We reached the border at 8:45pm and were informed that we could not cross the border until the next morning at 5am, which would have put us in danger of missing our gorilla trek at the Rushaga gate of Bwindi National Park (Check in starts at 7am and Uganda's time zone is one hour ahead of Rwanda's). Dan at Kisoro tours is extremely responsive on what's app and made sure that the Uganda Wildlife Authority was not only aware of our issue, but also that our permits were changed to nearby Mgahinga National Park. We could not be happier with the switch. Mgahinga is a much quieter park than Bwindi and not as inundated with tourists. What's more the largest silverback gorilla in Uganda, Mark who weighs over 250 kgs resides in Mgahinga. We were fortunate enough to see 2 adult silverbacks, 1 juvenile silverback, 2 females and 2 baby gorillas (4 and 6 months).

Kisoro Tours and Dan in particular were extremely helpful in ensuring that we had a great trip.

Dan the Man
4/5

Dan, the owner of Kisoro Tours is someone I met several years ago. I help run a charity based near to the town of Mbale, 7 hours by road, from Entebbe.I book Dan to drive me there and once in Mbale, to drive me around locally for a few days. He is an excellent, safe driver, and a most pleasant person to be around.
Dan has never actually planned an itinerary, nor booked hotels/lodges on my behalf, since I already know exactly where and when, I am going.
As far as his vehicle is concerned, it's a 7 seater jeep, comfortable but not especially luxurious.
I would certainly recommend Dan as a driver.
Dan's prices are high, he charged us $170 per day, I think the going rate is nearer $100 per day excluding fuel.
