Mini safari
5/5

Feb 2017 I was in Uganda for a small getaway and decided last minute to go on a local safari. Kisoro tours were recommended. I told Dan what I would like and he put forward a couple of packages, taking into consideration my timeframe and budget.
I chose Lake Mburo national park with overnight accommodation . We went on safari the first day and saw a variety of animals in there habitat, then finished off with a boat trip on rage river and was amazed by the wildlife on and around us. The evening was spent in an echo friendly lodge , the food was delicious and the individual cottages were outstanding, waking up to monkeys on your porch is something else. The day was finished off with another safari where we tracked down the elusive giraffes and then back to Entebbe. All in all the whole adventure is something I will always remember and was well worth every penny

It was OK

I booked my tour with Dan from Kisoro Tours Uganda. The safari itself was good, I enjoyed the trekking and the gorillas, however, I did not like how at the last moment before our arrival Dan tried to raise the prices of our safari (250 USD extra per person, because he had to organize additional car - rental of additional car with the driver for 3 days is less than 200 USD in Uganda), which did not happen, but still the move left bad aftertaste in my mouth... I also was severely disappointed with the Broadbill Forest Camp - truly a terrible accommodation! Still not completed - 6 years after initiation, old tents, water trickling from the shower, no water in the toilet the last day, personnel without any idea about how to manage the camp and not familiar with the hospitality concept whatsoever, electricity only until 10 PM and then overwhelming darkness, microscopic food portions, on the trekking day we were served rice and vegetables as it was raining so nobody in the camp felt like going down to the village to buy some much needed proteins etc. Initially we were thinking we should have stayed in the forest longer than just 2 nights, but after seeing and experiencing the camp, we were glad that we didn't cater for longer stay. 2 other persons from our group were staying in a different location, which judging from their descriptions was much more liveable. Maybe Broadbill Forest Camp is comparatively cheaper to the organizers... My advise: go for Kisoro tours, but avoid the Broadbill Forest Camp!

It was an amazing trip

We did 3 days gorillas tracking tour in Bwindi National park in Uganda. Booking was done through Dan from Kisoro tours. Everything was perfect for this trip and it was organized so well. Our guide and driver- Paul, was such a helpful and nice guy. The forest is beautiful, something I miss now somehow.

Book with Dan!
5/5

If you're thinking of traveling to see the mountain gorillas in Bwindi then I would highly recommend booking through Kisoro Tours Uganda. Dan, the main guide, was incredibly kind and helpful. I was a bit apprehensive sending money online at first, but he acquired the permits himself and we simply paid upon arrival. He met us at the Entebbe airport and from there it was a really incredible trip around Uganda. We ended up staying at the Bakiga Lodge, which I would also highly encourage as they are beautiful lodges that over look the forest with a fireplace and bar (beats a rainy tent!). The lodge also uses the money to help get clean water to the surrounding villages. I'm trying to think of any drawbacks that we had, but we were just really happy with how it all worked out. If you have any questions you can email me. Best of luck!

Super friendly and sorted everything out for us. Will be using Kisoro Tours again
5/5

Dan from Kisoro Tours was absolutely amazing. He speaks great English aswell as the local Rwandan language. We would recommend these guys for any age group, as we know they will look after you. We will definitely be back in the near future to do another one of their tours - maybe a safari or white water rafting next time. Thanks again, we had the time of our lives!

Fascinating, educational and enjoyable tour - Dan was excellent
5/5

Dan was excellent in his ability to find places no other guide has taken anyone. Meeting farmers and understanding their challenges was the most insightful part of the tour for me
Everything was organised and ran exactly to plan
Accommodation, food and the tours - excellent
A very rewarding and enjoyable insight into Uganda - all down to Dan and Kisoro Tours

5/5

All arrangements went according to plan we met many Beekeepers at their sites who were pleased to show us around.Dan is very well known in the Kisoro Distict and we were shown places many people would not get too.
For people who are interested in Beekeeping this tour is a must. I shall definitely recommend this tour to other Beekeepers.

Exciting way to see nature in the raw.

Being with a guide Dan who knew the area and exactly what to look for added to the experience. They say knowledge is power!

Dan Ngirabakunzi is a great driver and travelling companion.
5/5

i was on a business trip and Dan kindly agreed to drive me around Kampala on my appointments and then drove me to Masaka and back to Entebbe. He is a good driver - even in difficult driving conditions. He was always on time, always cheerful and always made sure that I got to where I needed to be on time. On top of that he was pleasant company with a good knack of knowing when to talk and when to just enjoy some moments of quiet.
