Sublime richness of the Okavango Delta... with a little bit of rain thrown in...!
Its been a good year since we travelled to Botswana, but in our quieter moments we remember it as one of the most exciting times of our lives.
There's really not much more to add other than if you are thinking of going on safari then Botswana rocks!
One tip is that November is a great time to visit, as Safari Lifestyles did advise... the costs are way less... the little buzz planes they use to get to camp are interesting and quite expensive but the camps are much less expensive than earlier in the year.
Thank you Safari Lifestyles... not a single regret and many memories.
Excellent help was given on this safari... very happy
We had only been to Uganda before to visit the Gorillas so this was our first animal experience anywhere else. We are birders as well as being interested in the animals you may see.
For 4 days we had a private camping safari in the Delta area and then we were met and flown to our first of 3 lodges. I would say that our experiences were just wonderful and we got very good advice from Dee at the Safari Lifestyles office.
We are very particular about what we do and we did send them many emails and all of them where answered within 24 hours. We would recommend them as a very good company to use for your holiday.
Wildlife right at our door, a well serviced safari
Its great to go to a place for once which is not as hot as where we live. We wanted a bit of a mix in that we knew what to expect in Botswana but were unfamiliar about the areas.
Safari Lifestyles came back with several options as to where to stay and gave us the opportunity to see copious amounts of leopards and lions on game drives (we didn't expect to get so close), but we also spend quite a lot of time on the water and even did some fishing. Being quite tired after our flight we were met by them at the airport and quickly flown into camp which was the start of a gorgeous tour.
You soon learn to relax and just enjoy the wildlife although I would say that the crocs aren't as big as ours! We had no problems at all and Roger even met us at the airport again when we finished. He has also kept in touch with us.
We really had a great time and would say that everything was very well organised.

Quick and sweet with no fuss, and a wonderful surprise gift!
The only time we had been on safari before was in Kenya a few years ago. I was on business in South Africa recently and took advantage of this by bringing my wife along for a trip to the Okavango. We wanted lodges and we ended up being very pleased with the choices given.
Botswana is an expensive destination but well worth it... especially to see those toothy painted wolves. We know we got a fair price from Safari Lifestyles and a great gift! (I'm under a promise not to mention what it is though). Would we use this company again?... that's a resounding yes.

Family trip of a lifetime!
This was an amazing trip. I don't think any of us expected quite such close contact with the wide variety of animals and birds along with the fantastic surroundings. We loved all aspects of this safari and we didn't have to worry about organising anything as everything was meticulously planned by Roger (Safari Lifestyles). He organised it so we could experience water and land based activities. The food was unbelievable considering we were miles away from anywhere and all camp staff were so friendly and welcoming to us, especially to the children. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Safari Lifestyles as a tour operator and would definitely use them again.

Great safari and a great experience
My husband and I had never been on safari before and chose Botswana as we wanted to visit some very good wildlife areas and stay in Lodges. Safari Lifestyles seemed very knowledgeable about all the areas and gave us great advice.. We chose to book our 10 day lodge safari with them as they were very quick to respond to our questions and didn't hide anything with great prices. Our daughter now wants to go and we have recommended them to her.... Thank you for a great trip.

Excellent Northern Botswana Classic Mobile Camping Safari
I booked a Botswana 10 day classic mobile camping safari with Safari Lifestyles, running from Maun via Moremi, Khwai and Savuti, and ending up in Kasane. It was an excellent safari, with a top notch guide and crew, good food and comfortable tented accommodation. The safari lived up to all my expectations, and we saw a lot of wildlife, including all the big cats and the wild dogs. This was my 5th and so far best African safari, after earlier trips in Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana. We were lucky, and had a fabulous guide who could spot even the best hidden bird and animal. The guide knew all bird species in the region, a plus for birders. The trip was also great for photography. Safari Lifestyles was very professional, and quickly answered all pre-tour questions. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Safari Lifestyles as a safari operator.

Mobile Camping and Lodge Safari in Botswana
We used Safari Lifestyles for a safari to Botswana for 6 people about 12 months ago… we combined a privately guided mobile tented trip with a lodge extension to Kwando Lebala and Jacana Camp for 5 nights.
With all the questions we asked I think Roger picked it up personally and dealt with the itinerary himself. What made us choose this company was his knowledge of the country and his attention to detail. Our mobile was well staffed and took us through Moremi, Savuti and Chobe with amazing sightings!!!, then on to Kasane for a night at a lodge in the town, we then had charter flights to the Safari Camps which he chose for us.
There were no real negatives other than a hyena stealing a friends knapsack on the tented section, never to be seen again. Initially we were hesitant to go to a water camp like Jacana as our interests lay in wildlife photography and we were concerned about the lack of game there. However it proved to be a real highlight as it was one of most relaxing of places to end a trip. Kwando Lebala was fantastic and we had unbelievable sightings, it was as exciting as it was described to us.
Its really difficult to say which part was best, the mobile camping section was closer to nature and we had our own group, but we did love the accommodation of a big tent and huge beds in the lodges and these private concessions were magic.
I would have no problem in using Roger and Safari Lifestyles for another trip.
