friendly, knowledgeable and educated
All of the guides were well educated, friendly and accommodating. When we went to Kruger, Rocky did a great job working with other guides and knowing where the animals were. He organized the afternoon and put us in front of many animals we would have never spotted on our own.

Incredibly engaging team with a world of experience and knowledge.
Viva Safari’s made out entire stay feel like we were with family. Our main guide was Rocky and he was amazing! He taught us so much about the animals and their habits as well as provided us with personalised tours to suit us. Rocky even sat with us at dinner for a chat which made us feel like more than just tourists. The whole team were amazing. Would definitely join Viva Safari’s again.
An unforgettable experience, that involves new friends, fulfilled expectations and unfulfilled ones.
The people are very nice at viva safaris, although people from different cultures will have to get used to life in africa. They were very helpful wirh palnning the trip and would always have an open ear for you. Super nice staff that prepares lovely meals is provided, and you will definitely get your moneys worth if you want to see wildlife, yet you are away for modt of the time, so you cant really enjoy the beautiful accomodation that they have built. The tours were amazing, especially the bushwalks, because every ranger has different knowledge and abilities. Overall, I would recommend this experience with my eyes closed!

Everything was fine. All guides were kind and provided great knowledge. Lodge was fine, like in a small family.

Pat was incredible. Knowledge, informative and very pleasant. Very quick to respond to questions.
We booked a 4 night, 5 day, safari experience and arrived with very high expectations. Our expectations were met and even outdone. From the first pickup from Sandton, we were greeted warmly by a great driver by the name Welcome 😁. Then a pleasant drive to the park (with a yummy lunch break), where we were again welcomed warmly and straight out into the action. Our very first exciting viewing was a pride of lionesses. And from there, we were overwhelmed with incredible sightings. By the end of day 2, we were lucky seeing all big 5. An unforgettable rush of adrenaline following a leopard must be mentioned too. The following days were no less exhilarating with sightings of wild dogs and black rhinos. Every delicious breakfast and dinner was served by an amazingly warm team whom deserve a lot of credit. The guide team, Luke, Rocky, Victor, Raymond, Nadine, Quentin ....words do not do justice, you guys are the best of the best. Your knowledge, passion and friendliness shine bright. Thanks for an incredible time. We will be back, without a doubt.

Efficient, Organised, Friendly
Hello all, my partner and I spent 6 days in Kruger with Viva Safaris and it was a wonderful experience! From pick up, to drop off, to stops made along the way to Kruger (to change transport etc), it was very well organised. The lodge is situated in an excellent area for game viewing, with majority of good sightings being done on our more local morning and evening game drives.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly, special shout out to Smiley who was with us for the majority of our trip. WOW! He made sure our needs were met, and tried his absolute best to get us the best viewings. Thank you to all the staff from the kitchen, as well as Luke, Nadine, Rocky, Raymond and Victor also. The days to Kruger are long, driving there is 1.5 hours roughly, and same back. As this was the highlight of our trip and many other guests, I would really like to recommend that vehicles leave a lot earlier. You arrive at Kruger around 10am, and by this point, a lot of viewings have already taken place. We saw all of the Big 5, as well as painted dog and many more wonderful animals. The food was good, we didn't go hungry at all, and the schedules were well planned. Again, just if there was one change, we would have loved to have actually spent 'full days' in Kruger if this was possible. We would highly recommend Viva Safaris overall.

An unforgettable experience
There are no words able to describe the emotions we felt during the three days at the Tremisana Lodge. Experiencing the wildness, looking for the animals in the bushes, stargazing one of the clearest night sky in the world. Those are experiences that make you feel alive.
The sunset cruise was an incredible adventure. Having dinner in the middle of nowhere, with the company of an elephant and just a fence dividing you from the wild life was awesome.
The day at Kruger? It felt like being in one of those National Geographic kind of documentaries, but in first person. Our ranger was very professional, always trying to let us take the perfect shots of the wild life, as well as keeping us safe. We never felt in danger during the safari.
The sunrise cruise was quite a rush but worth it. You can see the animals awakening and starting their daily routines. We were lucky with the weather and manage to observe an outstanding sunrise. Do you know the opening scene of The Lion King? That is the kind of thing you will experience.
The lodge was the best compromise between comfort and wildness. There isn't much choice for the food but one have also to keep in mind that the village is literally in the middle of nowhere, so one should never expect to have a restaurant-type of experience in such case. The room was clean and the shower provides hot water. The people working at the lodge, as well as the rangers, are all very kind and professional. They properly take care of you.
Totally recommended if one wants to have a safari experience.
