Found them to be very easy to talk to and they were very helpful on all counts.
Started off being late picking me up from my hotel, but once i got in contact all went well. The places we stayed were better than i expected, and the staff all friendly and helpful. The tours were great and the guides very knowlegable, over all a great experience.

One of the most profound experiences of my life was spent with Viva Safaris!
My daughter, who had recently graduated from college, and I spent six wonderful days with Viva Safaris last July. We both were impressed immediately with the correspondence leading up to our trip, the arrangement to be picked up at our hostel in Joburg, and the perfection with our entire trip. The accomodations were clean and comfortable, the grounds were beautiful, the food was great, the guides were friendly and knowledgeable and took great care in making sure we saw as much as possible. We took advantage of every drive offered...even 5am drives that we weren't scheduled to take, if there were extra seats! I loved seeing not only animals, but birds too, and the guides were more than happy to point them out and stop to let me photograph them. On one day in Kruger we saw the Big 5 all before noon! We just can't say enough about the great experience we had and highly recommend it!

An amazing experience I won't forget in a hurry...
I was so pleased with the correspondence with emails keeping us up to date with a wealth of information. There was always someone on hand to answer any questions and very quickly too. I felt they were very professional and left nothing to chance. Deposits were paid in advance and I had no qualms whatsoever and the balance for the trip was paid too without any problems.
I found the staff very friendly right from the start of our journey from the airport to the very end. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Every meal was well cooked and superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The guides were very friendly and smart with a wonderful sense of humour. I felt very safe even on our short walk away from the vehicle, trying to find the elephants that were near. My biggest thrill was stroking two cheetahs who had just killed and were very full lying down almost asleep. They each had one eye cocked ready for anything and then we come along! I could almost see them yawning and thinking, oh! it's them again. I must admit we were all pretty cautious going in one by one, for these were real wild animals with the carcass of their kill just behind them. The guides certainly know their stuff and it was an absolute joy to see all the wildlife. It far exceeded my expectations and the night safaris were a real bonus. The sunrises and sunsets were incredible. I have no hesitation whatsoever going with them again. We are planning to go in 2018.

Brilliant experience with good service and rangers.
My wife and I did a 4 day package and really enjoyed our time. Rangers Eva and Sam were particularly very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Rex was moody at times which was disappointing.
The lodges are safe and decently furnished. The meals provided were fantastic and great quality. Especially the morning breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen staff always happy with a smile on their faces. The morning drives and sunsets drives were eventful and animals plenty. The bush walk was good fun (aside from Rex who was moody).
We found the owners a little strange as they would appear for dinner and then avoid sitting or saying at least hi to the guests. Quite grumpy to say the least.
I would urge Viva to include a tshirt in their price or charge $10 extra as this is required on bush walks (most people we noticed didn't have camo clothing and got shouted at by Rex - very embarrassing.
Overall we would recommend Viva as good value, good staff, lovely lodges and food and good effort overall!

Fantastic
My husband and I have just stepped out of van of viva safari our driver delivered us back to Johannesburg airport at time as promised. We have had an amazing three days with viva safari. With our guide Sam we indentified 32 species of wild animals and discussed 6 birds native to Kruger park. Victor at tree house lodge was very welcoming and informative with sharing his local knowledge. Our evening guide Eva also gave us an exciting and amazing tour of private park spotting kudu elephants giraffes etc in dark. Thank you to all staff at viva safaris for giving us such an amazing adventure....well worth the long distant travel from Australia!

Amazing visit to South Africa / Kruger
I am not a rich person. But I enjoy rich experiences: viva safaris allowed me to have an amazing experience in South Africa, make our group feel special, see the big 5, eat incredible meals and not have to spend a lot of money to do so. We stayed at several of Viva's properties: Marc's Treehouse, Tremisana lodge, and the wonderful and luxurious Katekani Tented Camp. The latter made me feel like I was a millionaire it was so luxurious. Piero cooked the most amazing meals for us and we had the whole place to our selves. Tremisana is a wonderful place to start a safari as it is comfortable and immediately you feel immersed in Africa with Warthogs and Monkeys roaming the property! Viva is a well put together safari company that is extremely well coordinated across complicated logistics. It feels seamless, but obviously must take a lot of work to coordinate across so many people and activities and have it feel effortless! I highly recommend this company and its various properties. Do make sure you know what you want in terms of accommodations: we signed up for "budget" at the tented camp and while it was great - our older members wanted a bit more luxury so we upgraded to Katekani from Marc's Treehouse. Viva was incredibly accommodating and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you Viva Safaris! I will recommend you to many others!

Very reasonably priced and well run
My husband and I wanted to experience a safari that was not outrageously priced and I found Viva Safaris. We had a wonderful experience with them. The guides were great and the food was excellent. They had activities all the time, which was included in the price. We definitely recommend them.

Great Experience!
My fiancee and I booked a three day lodge safari tour including a day at the Blyde river canyon.
We were really looking forward to an experience of a lifetime and we weren't disappointed!
The whole tour was well organised from the pick up at our hotel, to the daily long drives deep into the savannah up to the drop off back to our hotel again. All the drivers and guides were extremely friendly and provided plenty of information throughout our tour. The river canyon trip, while short, was worth the visit and provided stunning views of the river down below!
We didn't manage to see lions and so we are planning to use viva safaris again to complete our big five game!

Family friendly and budget friendly - a great sampling of all that the area can offer!
We felt secure in the organization of the program - did not have to worry about tiring organizational details as we felt that we were looked out for and informed when needed. Our kids were treated with patience and kindness- means loads when traveling in rustic conditions like meeting an elephant in the bush!

Incredible experience!!! :)
We had an amazing experience! We spent 4 nights with them: 1 in Tremisana lodge and the other 3 at Katikana lodge. I want to point out Elias as guide and the quality of the services in Katikana. Joanne and Mira were very kind and generous with us. They help us with everything and the food was incredible every single day. Thanks for this fantastic experience! Kruger Park game drive was grate as all the other activities. We were able to see a lot of animals very close! An experience to be repeated, no doubt!
