Africa Tours Adventure - Gorilla tracking in Uganda
I was in Rwanda to see my friend for a week and contacted Africa Tours Adventure a month before for a gorilla tracking tour. First I thought to track the gorillas in Rwanda but not enough advance notice for the limited time I had available for my vacation. Nicholas then recommended to go to Bwindi National Park in Uganda. He organised a tour for me only - single person - private tour - excellent choice! All staff at Africa Tours Adventure were extremely responsive to all my queries, knowledgable in preparation of the trip and guided me professionally through the whole tour. I am extremely happy with my gorilla experience! Thank you to Nicholas and Harrison at Africa Tours Adventure!

Amazing experience
We choose Africa Tours adventure for our Uganda, Rwanda trip out of several companies and we couldn't do better.
With great help of Nicolas we had tough but amazing itinerary visiting Bwindi NP and Volcanos NP seeing gorillas and golden monkeys, crossing Equator and ending in Kigali. Our driver Barnabas was very nice and helpful all the time despite the demanding drive.
I would definitely recommend Africa Tours Adventure to all my friends and i will fir sure use them again when in region.
Thanks a lot for all you help and advices Nicolas.

15 unforgetable days in Uganda
In December 2017 I spent 15 days packed with events and activities in Uganda.
Africa Tours Adventure gave me a great chance to see all those wonderful animals and birds inhabiting forests and savannas in Uganda. And I'm really grateful to Nicholas (the head of the travel agency) for assigning an amazing person named Barnabas as my driver/guide.
I'm an independent loner and used to solve all problems myself. It was a very unusual and pleasant experience for me to have somebody by my side who always knew how to keep the situation under control and find solutions to all difficult issues.
Barnabas is an extremely kind, caring and helpful human being. He did his best to make my trip comfortable and protect me from all possible and impossible dangers in the unknown world.
It's enough to just mention a seemingly insignificant (but actually very important) problem with my hiking shoes soaked with water and covered with dirt after unfortunate attempts of finding golden monkeys.
Barnabas helped to clean and dry them (first asking for the services at the hotel and then tying the shoes on the car's roof under the hot sun), and I could return home in presentable and dry shoes (which was necessary in freezing and snowy weather in Moscow).
Also, Barnabas taught me to love watching birds and taking pictures of them. He can identify any bird sitting or flying hundreds of meters away. And he infected me with his passion.
He truly loves wildlife and traveling and is ready and willing to share this love of his with other people.
I do hope that dozens of future clients will enjoy his services for many more years.
I should also mention the fact of highly competitive prices (I tried 6 other agencies and they offered similar itineraries and worse cars for about 3 thousand USD more). Besides, I enjoyed dinner at 6 out of 10 hotels though I made payments on Bed & Breakfast basis.
My itinerary included: - rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, - Murchison Falls NP (a visit the top of the falls, morning and evening game drives, a boat cruise to the bottom of the Victoria Nile falls, a small boat cruise to the delta area), - Kibale NP (Chimpanzee tracking habituation experience), - a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary, - Queen Elizabeth NP ( a visit to Kasende crater lakes and Katwe salt mining area, evening and morning game drives, an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, chimpanzee tracking in Kalinju forest and a nature walk to the bat cave in Immaramagambo forest, a game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions), - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP (1st Gorilla tracking in Ruhiga sector, 2nd Gorilla tracking in Rushaga sector), - Mgahinga NP (3rd Gorilla Tracking, a short walk to caldera, Golden monkey habituation and tracking – that habituation experience was a total fiasco – don’t try to repeat it), - Lake Mburo NP (an afternoon boat cruise and game drive, a morning nature walk).
Overnight stays at 10 hotels:
Pakuba Lodge, Primates Lodge Kibale, Park View Safari Lodge, Bakiga Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Mutanda Lake Resort, Mount Gahinga Safari Lodge, Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, Mburo Safari Lodge, 2Friends Resort Hotel.

Nicholas was informative, extremely helpful & efficient. Bernard our guide was #1, above & beyond!
Communication with Nicholas was top notch, best ever, answering every situation! Our stays were wonderful accommodations & even better than we expected. The gorilla trek was what we thought And beyond. Murchison Falls was the frosting in the cake. It was romantic and exhilarating

Awesome 6 Day tour of Uganda seeing Gorillas and chimps and more!! :)
My girlfriend and I just got back from an amazing 6 day tour of Uganda with this company and it was AMAZING!! :) From the very start Nicholas was easy and extremely prompt to communicate with and made all our preparation so easy.
Unfortunately we missed our flight from Nairobi to Kigali and so our amazing guide Chris was waiting all day for us at Kigali airport. He must have been so tired when we finally arrived but didn't show it and quickly got us to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking the next day. The whole experience and the whole tour was incredible, both thanks to our incredible guide Chris (who has an amazing personal story) and to Nicholas. It was a once in a lifetime trip and it was awesome from start to finish. Thanks to Chris we even saw 3 male lions in QENP which no other tour saw that day. What a spotter that man is!
Couldn't recommend this company highly enough and if you can get him try and request Chris as your tour guide as people say he's the best in the region, and after our trip we believe them! :)

Nicholas is the only person to book with (ATA). You will not be dissapointed. He is the BEST
Nicholas has been amazing right from the first email i had sent him. We booked aprox 6 months ahead, and i would send him millions of emails, as I have never been to Africa, and I did not know what to expect or even plan to do for our Safari. Nicholas was always prompt at emailing me back, day or night.. I dont think the man sleeps. He helped plan the best 13 day Safari, and it was truly a trip of a lifetime. The whole experience surpassed any of my expectaions. It is the most beautiful country, and the people are so friendly. All the kids would come running to just give us a big smile and a wave as we drove around the countryside. We had an amazing guide named Harryson, he knew everything there was for us to know about the animals, the country, the way each community lives. He took such great care of us the whole time, down to the tinest details.
We owe a hige Thank You to ATA (Nicholas) and Harryson for making it a trip that we will never forget. There was no hiccups along the way. The trip was perfect. They personally care about every detail, and making sure your have the perfect vacation. I would highly reccomend this company to anyone. They are the BEST...

Personal attention: from beginning to end.
The customer service is unbelievably good with this company. Through out the process of planning my trip, the owner of the company worked closely with me, as I continued to add more and more stops to my trip. In the end, my trip was a jam packed fifteen days.
The guide selected for me, Rogers, took wonderful care of me. He made it clear that he was going to make sure I saw, heard, and tasted Uganda! I saw lions, elephants, several species of monkeys, zebras, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, shoebill storks, chimps and GORILLAS. I visited a tribe of pygmies and met families of ex-poachers. Rogers found me a school where I donated some school supplies I brought with me. Rogers introduced me to some Uganda delicacies; matoke, jack fruit and ground peanut sauce.
As I travelled through Uganda, I posted photos on Facebook. I have inspired several friends to plan their own Africa adventures. I recommend this company to everyone, not just my Facebook friends!

Excellent service from beginning to end.
I had a 10 day Solo trip in Rwanda with Africa Tours Adventure and could not have been happier. The owner, Nicholas, was very helpful in customizing my trip. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had and he had great ideas for my trip. My guide, Barnabas, was knowledgeable about the country and the wildlife. He also was very good at anticipating my needs and keeping me on schedule.
I was able to see everything I wanted to at a reasonable price. Nicholas gave me lots of options for activities and accommodations that worked with my budget. In the end, my trip included 2 Gorilla treks and a golden Monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park, colobus monkey and chimpanzee treks in Nyungwe National Park, a game drive and boat ride in Akagera National Park, a stay at Lake Kivu, museums, nature hikes, and more. I felt like the accommodations were well represented to me and were of good value. The vehicle assigned to my guide for the trip was a good Land Rover. Overall, my trip with Africa Tours Adventure met or, in many cases, exceeded my expectations. I would travel again with them in a heartbeat.

Amazing Trip
We arranged a 3 day tour in Rwanda with Africa Tours Adventure. We were picked up by Gervis, our driver, on time at the airport in a professional, clean vehicle. We stayed at the Da Vinci Lodge near Volcanoes National Park - about 2 hours drive from Kigali. The accommodation was very good with great services, friendly staff and a wonderful cook. Gorilla trekking started nearby and was above and beyond our expectations. The trek requires good physical condition and proper attire as it can be wet, muddy and slippery. Seeing gorillas in their natural habitat supported by skilled and knowledgable local staff was an incredible privilege. We also highly recommend seeing the golden monkeys and the bamboo forest in which they live. We felt safe and well taken care of by Gervis and made it back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. We highly recommend Africa Tours Adventure in this region!

Wonderful tour company and experience in East Africa!
I received quotes from several tour companies but decided to go with Africa Tours Adventure for several reasons: 1) They gave the most comprehensive itinerary of all the tour companies. They even included additional activities like community and nature walks that the other tours companies did not offer 2) Their selection of hotels was the best compared to similarly-cost itineraries 3) Nicholas is extremely flexible and accommodating; he really worked with us to create an itinerary that best fit our interests. Furthermore, he offered suggestions and insights that we did not consider which really added to our experience. While on the tour, we could not have asked for a better guide. Rogers was extremely patient with us and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He made sure that our 7 day trek was seamless. And also with his animal luck, we saw everything we wanted to see and then some (except for the leopard, but that's expected). I would definitely recommend Africa Tours Adventure to my friends and family!
