A trip of a lifetime with every objective overachieved!
From the communication before departure through to the final farewells, African Tours Adventure exceeded our expectations (which were high). The tour was well thought out and the gorilla and chimpanzee trekking were truly unbelievable. The lodges chosen were perfect as was the transportation and vehicle. A special mention must go to our driver and now friend Kaye. His knowledge, attention to our requirements, flexibility and sense of humour were awesome. If you chose to do a trip with ATA, then ask for Kaye and you will very happy you did!
From my families experience, ATA are highly recommended and we will not hesitate to book with them again next time in Africa.

A once in a lifetime experience and an eye opener which has helped me to progress as a person
Everything was perfectly organized. I came alone and had Kiganda as my personal guide. Great person.
Thanks to him I have learned a lot in such a short time (3 day visit). We've done a lot of driving: luckily Kiganda is one of the most responsible and conscious persons I know so the drive felt safe and not too tiring.
It was amazing to see the gorillas from so nearby but to be honest, the best thing I take back from my visit to Uganda is, apart from having gained a friend for life, the eye opening effect my visit to the community next to the Bwindi park. Especially the visit to the orphanage has had a big impact on me, very positive, as those of us who are lucky to live wealthy lives have a large responsibility to help and support others to live better lives.
In exchange we will gain knowledge about life, self consciousness, energy to make a difference and joy.
It was a short visit and hope to come back as I am impressed with Uganda and want to get to know it better.

Every aspect of our tour exceeded our expectations!
After contacting many tour companies to put together a tour including Gorilla trekking, QENP and chimpanzee trekking in Uganda, we decided on Africa Tours Adventure based on reviews, communication and the ideal itinerary and value for what we wanted. We started in Kigali and ended in Entebbe. Every aspect of our tour was just fantastic, from fast responses and communication via email from beginning to end; easy pickup and drop off at beginning and end of tour; a very comfortable vehicle; a great itinerary; and lodging, food and service that far exceeded expectations. And, above all, there was our tour guide, Rogers. Let's face it the guide can make or break a tour. Rogers was punctual and extremely organized, but also very flexible and personable! We always had what we needed, we always knew what was going on and what to expect, and we enjoyed his company as well! Also, he was an excellent driver, which you will find is a big deal because there is a lot of driving when you tour Uganda. If you do a tour of Uganda with Africa Tours Adventure, which you SHOULD, my recommendation would be to take your time. We did a 4 night/5 day tour (at our request) which included everything we wanted, but this is a beautiful country with really great people, and if I did it again, I would add an extra day to just relax and enjoy it!

Uganda beyond expectations!
Great time and adventure in Uganda. It was far beyond our expectations, landscape, kindness of the people, Gorila trekking out of this world! include in your bucket list! Benon our guide is a safari Superman! Knowledgable & so diligent: making sure we were ok, rooms ok, enough water to drink. But most of all he always kept a smile and good sense of humor, so necessary in long trips to cheer us up as we got tired. He explained to us that in his culture, whenever you have a visit at home, you have to achieve a feeling of comfort in your guests. He is a good ambassador of the Uganda culture!! Will be the spokespersons for the beauties of Uganda.

Excellent service
I hired the services of this company to go to Bwindi - the Impenetrable Park to watch the Gorillas. They organized a 3 day private tour. The driver picked me up at the Hotel in Kampala. It takes about 6 hours to go to the Park. We made two stops. The first one in the Equator where one can purchase some handcrafts at more or less reasonable price. The second stop was for lunch. The place - which I cannot remember the name -- offers a reasonable buffet. The package included the driver, transportation, lodging and 3 meals. It did include wine, beer or any other alcoholic beverage. At the Park we stayed at Bakiga Lodge. The surrounding are beautiful. It has a combination of solar panels. The water is heating burning wood which it is not very environmentally friendly. The bed is quite uncomfortable. The food and the service is very good. The experience to watch the gorillas is amazing! The walk is challenge and something that one must do. I recommend to use gum boots instead of sneakers or hiking boots. Gloves is a must. Plenty water. The park offers people who can help you to carry the water, the food and maybe can help you in the walking. The help in the walking can be less useful, but the help in carrying things is quite important. The rangers open the way using machete since there is no path. I would recommend to bring cash and low denominations. The rangers seem not have money to provide change....The passport or any ID is needed to register in the Park. Plastic bags are needed to protect personal items including the cellular. It rains. Long leaves is recommended to protect from insects. The second night I stayed at Bunyonyi Rock Resort. This lake is gorgeous. The hotel uses solar panels for all (heat and water). The food is very good and the rooms and bed are excellent and so the service. This is a place to stay longer. So beautiful. Now, lets talk about the company. The car was in very good conditions. They send a picture of the car and copy of the driver license of the driver. Robert, the driver was excellent. He drives very well and carefully. He is very respectful and well-educated who can entreating with well-informed conversation. On the return we stopped again at Equator, but this time for lunch. The place offers poor food. Almost all is fast food. I hired this company talking to Nicholas one of the managers who is quite efficient and accountable. I will probably use this company again. Enjoy the beautiful sightseeing of Uganda. The country side is amazingly beautiful.

Excellent!
We just returned from a trip of a lifetime, thanks to Africa Tours Adventure! Nicholas planned the itinerary, and booked fantastic accomodations for us. He is very responsive, and we had a lot of questions so that's saying something.
We had limited time, so went to Kibale (stayed at Primates Lodge), Queen Elizabeth Natl Park (Mweya Safari Lodge), and Bwindi (Bakinga Lodge). All were clean, excellent food, and unique and lovely rooms/cottages and beautiful settings. Our guide & driver for the trip was fantastic, top-notch. Harrison arranged everything, looked out for all 6 of us, and safely drove us hours and hours. He was warm, friendly, and his knowledge of the country, customs, animals, etc is encyclopedic. The chimps in Kibale, and gorillas in Bwindi were the highlights--once in a lifetime travel experience, highly recommend Africa Tours Adventure--thank you!

8 days Uganda
I contacted ATA for advice on a roundtrip through Uganda. I had basically no idea, just wanted to do the gorillas. Nicholas and his team (always very responsive) put together a very compelling itenerary (that was also priced competitively). Ziwa/MNP/Kibale/QENP/Bwindi/Lake Bunyonyi. I'm glad I followed their advice regarding the lodges and things to do - it was a memorable trip. It would have been a very good journey even without the gorillas, but of course they were the icing on the cake. The schedule was well timed - we covered a lot of ground, but it made a lot of sense. In hindsight, the suggestions for particular lodges were always spot on. Kaye, the guide, was knowledgeable and a safe driver. One thing I regretted: I should have chosen one leg of the flights to/from Kigali instead of going both times through Entebbe. This might have saved some time.
I'd gladly recommend ATA to friends.

Great 9 day trip to Uganda with a focus on primates.
My friend and I took a 9 day tour with Africa Tours Adventure to Ziwa, Murchison, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi, Mgahinga, and Lake Mburo starting and ending in Entebbe in January 2019 using their budget accommodation option. Nicholas was very responsive over email was great about working our requests into the itinerary. My general starting idea was to do gorilla, chimpanzee, and golden monkey tracking, and he suggested several possible itineraries.
We both really enjoyed the trip. Our guide David was great; without him, we wouldn't have spotted nearly as many animals. The vehicle was also comfortable and had a removable roof for the game drives. We have no major complaints about any of the lodges, and they were generally nicer than we anticipated for being on the budget tour. One thing we liked was staying on the north side of the river in Murchison NP so we didn't need to queue for the early ferry on the morning of our game drive.
As for the tour activities themselves, we enjoyed all of the parks we visited, with the gorillas and chimps being the highlights. We thought it was worth going to Murchison as well as QENP; there seemed to be more animals there, and this detour allowed us to see rhinos (at Ziwa) and giraffes. Our short detour to Mburo was also worth it to see zebra and impala, which we didn't see elsewhere. We did an optional night walk in Kibale NP and enjoyed it, but the company's advice about it being hard to see animals was accurate. I think the only activity we didn't really enjoy was the a community walk that we did in the afternoon after driving to Bwindi from QENP. We enjoyed the Bigodi swamp and community walk near Kibale much more.
Some overall thoughts: Murchison and Queen Elizabeth didn't seem quite as good for traditional safari wildlife viewing as the parks I've been to in Kenya and Tanzania. However, the ability to combine that with the primates and other activities like boat rides was great. My friend who'd never been to Africa before was happy with the wildlife we saw, and we did have some really impressive sightings like a leopard at QENP. My friend commented that he was glad we went to Murchison for the giraffes and Lake Mburo even if only briefly for the zebras. My friend is also a birder and was really impressed with the number of species we saw.
Also, our schedule seemed to build in a lot of time for variable road conditions. It didn't rain except the last day for us, so the roads were generally decent. But I imagine some of the drives could be a lot longer if the roads were muddy.
Overall, Africa Tours Adventure did a great job of making this a fantastic trip.

Beyond expectations
I found "Africa Tours Adventure" in safaribookings website, I contacted them to arrange very short safari in Uganda, I really did not expect much, the planned trip was very short and for a solo traveler, but I found them keen to help, and I let them arrange everything from the arrival to the departure, I took their advice and stayed at Bwindi lodge which was really fantastic, Their guide was knowledgeable and helpful, it was great holiday in every aspect.
