A really nice and interesting trip with a professional guide.
The trip was really nice and full of interesting activities. Roger is a great guide and a real professional.
He tried all the best to do the whole itinerary and we really appreciate it.
The accommodation and meals were also really good.

Coolest trip to Bwindi with Moses!
I went on a solo trip to Bwindi with Africa Tours Adventure and it was the best! I had been dying to go gorilla trekking and had to fit in several activities during a weekend because of my work, but Africa Tours Adventure planned the whole trip for me and it was an amazing experience! They were very accommodating and Moses, my guide, picked me up at another town since I was not stationed in Kampala or Entebbe. I visited the equator, passed by Queen Elizabeth, visited Bwindi, and rested at Lake Bunyonyi. I paid for budget accommodation since I am a student, and they surpassed by expectations! The lodges were beautiful and comfortable and the food was great. But of course, the coolest part was the gorilla trekking! It was a tough trek, but being with the gorillas was an incredible experience and I am so glad I had the opportunity to go! You get to be so close to them and take amazing pictures! I was very grateful that Africa Tours Adventure was able to plan everything for me since I would have never figured it out. Moses was also had the best company on this trip! I had great conversations with him and can say we became good friends! He is all about having a local experience when visiting Uganda, so he made sure I learned more about the culture, language, and food. He in very knowledgeable about all wild life and birds! He took me to the best locations to view the lake and is a great photographer! I would highly recommend Africa Tours Adventure for any trip in Uganda and having Moses as your guide!

The trip of a lifetime
This company is fantastic. They tailor made our tour. The accommodation was fantastic - even better than expected. The landscape was stunning, and seeing gorillas in the world is indescribable. What an experience! Our driver was lovely - very accommodating, kind and helpful.
I highly recommend this professional, exceptional company.

11 days trip in Rwanda/Uganda
In August 2018 we took a very nice 'private' trip in Rwanda, Uganda and initially also RDC with Africa Tours Adventure.
ATA is a very professional company with a high focus on client safety and satisfaction.
Plan B was organized due to the closure of Virunga NP (RDC) in May.
August should have been a "dry" month but this year it wasn't really the case, our guide Kaye gave us his advice "in live" and proposed other options for the planned activities that we had to drop due to bad weather conditions (like climbing the Visoke).
His pieces of advice were most valuable.
If you would like to travel to Rwanda and/or Uganda, Africa Tours Adventure is certainly the best choice.

One of the best times in my live
Nicholas (the guy we spoke to before the trip / with him we made the booking) was sooo helpful, always responded quickly and has so much patience with our 5 changes :)
We had just an amazing trip, everything went perfect! Also William our guide was excellent, furthermore he had a very good knowledge about africa (the animals, the culture, the plants and so on), he could give us always an answer of every question we had. We really liked the lodges, they were very authentic.
All of our group would recommend Africa Tours Adventure again.
Thank you very much for this amazing experience through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, The Mountain Gorillas, Queen Elizabeth national park, the boat trip and the most amazing lodge --> Mweya lodge <3
And the price of our trip was absolutely fair.

Incredible Chimpanzee and Gorilla Visits
We had a late night arrival in Entebbe and got a little shut eye before Moses picked us up from the airport, the next 5 days were an incredible experience. Nicholas organized my custom safari for me, and we went to Kibale national park for chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth national park, then finally Bwindi National park for gorilla trekking. The lodges that Nicholas set us up in were fantastic, and all of them had hot running water and cellular service. Nicholas made the process extremely easy, and the value we got for our money was absolutely top notch. Moses was a fantastic driver, and kept us entertained the entire time. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the areas, teaching us about the local culture as well. I would not use any other tour operator, as I do not think that ATA can be beat. Thanks again to Nicholas and Moses for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just beware that on the gorilla trekking you may want to bring gloves as some of the plants are prickly and can cut your hands a little. And for those looking for a classic game safari along with your gorilla/chimpanzee trekking you may want to see if you have time to do Murchison Falls instead of Queen Elizabeth, as the game there is significantly better. We weren't there for a classic safari, as we've already done those in Kenya and Tanzania, we were just there for the primates which did not disappoint.

Comfortable, lovely experience. Reliable operator!
We had a fantastic time with Africa Tours Adventure. Extremely professional and responsive. We had booked a 4 night itinerary -- 2 nights in Bwindi with Gorilla Mist camp and 2 nights in Lake Bunyonyi with Birdnest.
- Bookings: Very smooth. We always got detailed and SUPER-QUICK responses from Nicholas. We had contacted a number of tour operators but Nicholas ability to provide us gorilla trekking passes for a particular day as well as his responsiveness, made us choose him for the trip. I was also very particular about the hotels we stay. In spite of a lot of to and fro, Nicholas was very patient to accommodate the best possible stay options for us. He was ready to give us what we wanted and was very honest about the prices for the same too. They provide you the band for your buck!
- Accommodation: Stay was very comfortable in both the places with UNBELIEVABLE views. Gorilla Mist camp and Bird-nest - both were second choices but were perfect for us. (Our first choices had some big group bookings in both the places exactly for our dates. Nicholas also offered to switch the dates to accommodate but we wanted to stick to itinerary and hence went with 2nd choices instead.)
- Tour & Guide: There are long drives in this trip which I was prepared for. Our guide, Rogers, was a very sweet person. He was polite, helpful, punctual, professional and always answered our questions. He also helped us change currency and gave honest view of the exchange rates. (He also helped in advance of the drink prices so that we knew how much to convert as the rest of the trip was paid for.)
Overall, a fantastic country with beautiful people. Would love to come back to Uganda to see more wildlife next time.

5 days in Rwanda/Uganda (+Gorilla Trekking)
We had a wonderful time exploring Rwanda and Uganda with Africa Tours Adventure. Nicholas was very communicative throughout the planning process, answering all our questions promptly, and adjusting to our scheduling and itinerary requests with extreme flexibility.
David, our guide for the trip, was very accommodating, personable, and handled everything for us from the moment we stepped out of arrivals at Kigali airport to our heavyhearted departure back home. From long drives between destinations (our mode of transportation was a comfortable Toyota Prado) to making unscheduled stops to point out things of interest to ordering local cuisine that we would not think to order, David made sure we were comfortable and truly enjoying ourselves throughout the trip.
The lodges selected for us (5 Volcanoes Boutique hotel, Mahogany Springs, Katara Lodge) were extremely nice, well kept, spacious, well situated in their respective parks with beautiful views, and the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Almost every meal was arranged for us, including packed lunches for our trekking days.
We made this trip for the sole purpose of gorilla trekking and that day alone exceeded our expectations. It is a bit of a challenging hike, but completely worth it to spend an hour with these majestic animals. For the remainder of our stay, Nicholas gave us the option of additional treks (golden monkey, chimpanzee), game drives, cultural walks, city tours, etc.
This was a trip of a lifetime and we are very glad we chose to experience it with Africa Tours Adventure. We traveled here with sole purpose of tracking gorillas and left with a strong urge to return very soon.
Thanks very much Nicholas and David.
Warmly,
Dot & WenJie

Trekking with gorillas is amazing and Nicholas is phenomenal communicating trip details!
The tour was really good considering how quick of a trip it was. We enjoyed the shopping at the equator and the lunch stops. We absolutely loved the views at Bakiga Lodge and Birdnest Resort; they truly were worth the price and were outstanding both from a service perspective and a comfort perspective. Our guide, Roger, was pretty good; he was a bit quieter than we expected but he always asked us what we wanted and helped meet our needs. The vehicle was okay, it tended to get a little warm and Roger typically did not turn on the air conditioning. We were amazed by our experience with the gorillas and truly loved getting the permits and doing the trekking. You prepared us very well for what we needed to bring and how rigorous it would be. Following the gorillas and seeing them in the wild was what we wanted to come to Uganda for and it did not disappoint!
To improve, we thought it would be helpful to tell us in your itinerary how long each day would be in the car. This would have helped us with the planning of our flights as well as prepared us for the very long car rides. We also would have loved to have some time to do something in Kampala, but simply ran out of it (which was our fault because we shopped for too long).
Thank you very much to Nicholas for outstanding communication and help with our trip. We would recommend Africa Tours Adventure to any and all interested in going gorilla trekking.
