Passion and professionalism
We had a really great experience with Achieve! We contacted them in February and we started planning the tour with Jolie, who was super professional and very kind with us. Our tour guide was Elisa, and we could not have asked someone better than him. He made our experience unforgettable. All the hotels were stunning and the organization of the tour was well made! We will definitely come back to Achieve in case we'll join another tour in the future! Thanks again guys!!!

Good Experience
Overall, we had a great experience. Zedius is a good driver and an attentive guide. The Buhoma Community Haven Lodge was excellent, and the bird guide that AGS engaged, Nicholas, was excellent as well. Doreen was very responsive and tailored the trip to our needs. Would recommend AGS to anyone looking for quality and affordable organized travel options in East Africa.

Amazing experience in a beautiful country
We travelled as a family of 4. All of our bookings for the 4 day 3 night tour including the gorilla and chimpanzee trekking was done by communication mainly via WhatsApp and a few detailed emails. Jolie was excellent in quick and patient replies and always very reassuring!
She managed to get special permission for my nearly 14 yr old daughter and the the trekking passes for all of us in Buhoma region for the gorilla trekking when those had nearly ran out! We were given the details of our driver and guide Elisa few days before our pickup from Kampala. Elisa was always smiling and drove the 4*4 safari jeep well. There were some really long drives but we chose a flight back from Bwindi to Kampala which was a right decision.
Jolie had informed the Buhoma lodge (which was an exceptionally good resort, just 5mins walk from the gorilla trekking meeting point) about our special anniversary and birthday in advance and they made a special effort to make a cake for us.
Overall, I would highly recommend achieve Global safaris

Fantastic Experience
We travelled for two weeks trough Kenya with Eric. It was a fantastic experience and we loved it.
Organization and communication with Achieve Global Safaris was uncomplicated. The tour was tailored to our wishes and adapted serveral times, till we were happy with the programme.
Up on arrival in Nairobi, we were picked up by Eric and we did not have to care for anything till drop of at the airport two weeks later. We could relaxe completely.
The tour with Eric was exiting, relaxing and fun at the same time. Eric has a great knowledge of the country and the different parks. Thanks to his experience we did not only saw a lot of wild animals (including the big five and the ugly five), but also in great and special sceneries.
Highly recommend!

Amazing organisation and attention to detail. I would fully recommend Achieve Global Safaris to mana
This was to be a trip of a lifetime. I was returning to Uganda after 60 years absence and dragging my son along for a trip down memory lane. The tour was tailor made to include all the places I had grown up in and places I had visited. Jolie at Achieve Global Safaris was excellent at making all the arrangements at some strange places off the tourist route such as the Mountains of the Moon Hotel in Fort Portal and the Silver Springs Hotel in Kampala. She did an excellent job of making sure the itinerary flowed smoothly, even when my bag was left behind at Manchester!
We had a superb driver Joseph who was completely unfazed by the atrocious driving in Kampala and other major cities and dealt with the crazy boda-bodas with calm, patience and skill. Joseph also put up with my strange requests to visit my old Nakasero Primary School, Port Bell on Lake Victoria, where I used to fish as a 9/10 year old and he seemed to have a sixth sense where the game was located. We saw two leopards, one on an early morning game drive and another up a euphorbia cactus tree. We also had two huge male lions come and slump down in the shade of our Landcruiser for the shade. I could have reached down an scratched them between the ears!
It was a fabulous two weeks and my son has also fallen in love with Uganda and vows to return. I will be forever grateful to Jolie, Joseph and Achieve Global Safaris for their support and amazing kindness. They are the BEST!

Wonderful trip in a beautiful country!
Our safari was tacked on last minute to the end of a business trip and boy are we glad we did! Jolie was great to work with and easy to communicate with as we aligned on the itinerary/dates/lodging etc. Once everything was booked and we were ready to go, we were assigned our guide/driver, Joseph, who by the end of our trip, felt like we hit the jackpot. Besides kind and knowledgeable, Joseph was well versed in finding all kinds of wildlife and was determined to make sure we saw everything we possibly could. He spotted the rare leopard lounging in a tree that I was only able to see with binoculars and most people would have missed. He made sure we had the best seats on our boat ride (actually saved them for us and turned other guests away when they tried to sit there!) and even took us for a bonus drive since we didn't have the best view of the lions on our morning game drive. He used all his resources and network of colleagues to ensure we had the best experience and our bonus drive even included a front row seat with 2 lionesses and their cubs! We couldn't have enjoyed our time/conversations any more and we were genuinely sad when he dropped us off safely and on time to the airport for our trek home. I couldn't recommend this company and Joseph any more and will be forever grateful for such an amazing first experience into our Africa explorations. Do not hesitate to explore Uganda with Achieve Global Safaris!

Poor Quality of Vehicle
I wrote to Jolie about our very poor experience with my group of 8 traveling 5-7 hours every day in a vehicle that was unsafe and has issues every single day and she completely dismissed me, and even blamed me. She asked why I didn’t send her pictures and I told her because our guide was in communication with her everyday it had issues. I asked for a new vehicle three times but he just kept getting it fixed, stating he will let the company know about the poor condition of the vehicle. Every time we shut the door of different bolt or piece of the vehicle would fall off or fall apart. It was very laughable. The vehicle had to be taken in for servicing 4 times. It lost brake fluid, lost 4 wheel drive, was leaking a large amount of oil, broke down 3 times, had no AC, and my seat wasn’t even bolted down. She dismissed me and my complaints and told me there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. One of my guest had to fix the vehicle himself and he said it doesn’t look like the vehicle has been serviced in years and transmission and radiator was caked with mud and dirt and that’s why we kept overheating. It was sooooo uncomfortable being cramped in this vehicle for 8 days breathing in dust and pollution because the company was too cheap to give us air conditioning.
Here is the letter I wrote to Jolie that only came back pointing the finger back to me and completely dismissing and minimizing my concerns:
Jolie,
Thank you for planning my trip for my group to Rwanda and Uganda. Thank you for Joseph - he was wonderful and for picking really great accommodations!
The highlight was of course seeing the primates , which everyone loved. All the trekking excursion were awesome.
The biggest negative feedback is long drive times in a bad vehicle. I feel your company really needs to replace this vehicles. Guests cannot pay what they do and spend 8 days in this vehicle.
I am requesting some sort of refund for our poor experience with the vehicle over our 8 days. The vehicle had no air conditioning so my guests spent 8 days either extremely hot with the windows up or breathing in dust and exhaust with them down. The vehicle is in very bad condition and you really should not be using it for your customers. I am embarrassed and had to apologize multiple times to them. We lost several hours of our tour due to it breaking down. Everyday there was a new issue with the vehicle. I saw several other companies with nice, new, branded vehicles where the guests could have their windows up and enjoy a comfortable ride. I am not sure why your company could not provide the same comfortable experience for us. Being in this vehicle for 4-7 hours every day ( which I was unaware would be the case) made this trip difficult and not the experience I was looking to provide to my guests . I felt like I was going to pass out several different times due to sitting in the front and the heat of the engine on me with no AC. Often times, the vehicle was not safe( no 4 wheel drive, leaking oil, break fluid issue, my seat not bolted down, etc)
I am disappointed you did not let me know in advance that Kigali would be shut down and we would miss the scheduled itinerary for this location on the 1 st day, which many were looking forward to on their once in their lifetime trip to Rwanda. Not planning in advance for this or our luggage was avoidable. Putting 8 people in an old, run down vehicle with space for 3 people’s bag was a questionable choice. Thank you for sending an extra vehicle after the fact though. I have no idea what we would have done if you did not do that.
Please let me know what you feel would be a fair refund back to my credit card for our experience. Thank you
