Perfect touroperator in an amazing country!
Three weeks optimally enjoyed many facets in this versatile country. From the hectics in Kampala to quad driving and rafting near Jinja, next to the Nile. Furthermore, we visited tribes in their traditional living environment, saw the most beautiful wildlife parks and went into the jungle to spot chimpanzees + gorillas. It was one big party!
Also the varied accommodations contributed to this, but especially our guide/driver David. His knowledge of business, sense of humor and warm personality we'll Always remember.

No need to look further to find the right tour operator
After I contacted 7 tour operators it was very easy to decide for Grassrootz. Sanders promptness in response, his professionalism and tour layouts spoke for themselves. I am a professional tour guide myself and made my expectations quite clear. We did our 21 day tour with BOB MAGEZI. We couldn't have had a better guide. Bob is an excellent driver and guide with a profound knowledge of Uganda and a deep love for all its parks and wildlife. He doesn't hesitate to go the extra mile and if there are special sightings (like leopards or lions) in a park, he will know it. We started as clients and departed as friends and this trip will always have a very special place in our heart. This tour outmatched all our expectations. I strongly recommend to opt for a longer tour option. It is worth the money and will make the trip unforgettable. Sometimes transfers are long and activities are demanding. Having at times the possibility of a half day rest, allows you to recover, appreciate the beautiful settings of the lodges and let the impressions sink in. Like this you don't finish your tour tired and you can enjoy it to the fullest. In 21 days we visited 7 parks; Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary(Rhino safari walk), Kidepo (wonderful game drives), Murchison Falls (wonderful game drives, boat cruises and hiking to the falls), Kibale Forest (crater lake hike, community walk, chimpanzee habituation experience), Queen Elisabeth (including the channel boat cruise, tour with the lion tracking team and Ishasha with its amazing tree climbing lions and leopards!) Bwindi Impenetrable forest (of course with the fantastic Gorilla tracking experience, but also the beautiful Golden Monkey trekking) and we ended the trip at Lake Mburu. We've met some tourists who did the primate tours in Uganda and were then heading off for safaris in Tanzania or Kenia. There is no need to do that. Uganda has blown us away with its beautiful National Parks, full of diversity and overwhelming amount of wildlife. This country has it all. Thank you again Grassrootz (Sander) and Bob!!

Nice contact, helpful and good prepaid.
It was a really cool experience, nice country and lovely people.
And my guide and driver Paul was also the perfect man for my trip. We had a lot of fun and he knowes many interesting facts about the areas, people and everything else I was asking for.
My highlight of the journey was the gorilla tracking - amazing!
Thanks for all the impressions and adventures.

3 week guided Safari Uganda including 1 week in Kidepo
The general planning process was highly individual and amazing. It was easy to include everybody and their wishes into the schedule.
The trip went great, we kept (in my eyes) unexpectatly well to the tight schedule and had a lot of luck with animal sightings and weather conditions. Our guides were well organized and provided an amazing experience.
Thanks a lot to Sander and the rest of the Grassrootz Family.

Grassrootz exceeded all expectations.
After contacting 7+ operators, we decided to go with Grassrootz. It was an easy choice with Sander's quick responses and a great interactive itinerary that updates with each change, including price. Although there were cheaper options, we felt that Grassrootz would take better care of us. We wanted a completely private, custom 15 day tour and Grassrootz made it happen. Some other operators responded to my request with unrelated, pre-packaged group tours. Grassrootz took my proposed itinerary and worked out what was good, what was skippable, and what was missing or could be improved. We went to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls with chimp tracking, Lake Albert for a night, Queen Elizabeth/Ishasha, Bwindi, and Lake Mburo. Our favorite parks were Bwindi with the Gorillas and chameleons, as well as Fort Murchison with their wildlife. DO THE GORILLAS. It was absolutely incredible and well organized, a great example of tourism revenue benefiting nature and the community. We also stopped at a place called ride 4 a woman, you can them out online, it is a great group of ladies! We ended up doing a Lion tracking experience at Queen Elizabeth and I would highly recommend this to everyone. You follow around rangers with the satellite antenna to track the lions with radio collars. The money goes to help with the conservation fund and you get to go off-road, with rangers, to get up close and personal with the lions they are studying. Our lucky surprise was that the matriarch lion and my mom had the same name. We would also recommend the murchison falls river cruise as well as the Kazinga Channel cruises, amazing wildlife. Our driver, Bob Magezi, was one of the best parts of our trip. He was knowledgeable about everything, especially birds, and if he didn't know an answer he had a book on hand to find the answer for us. He was able to tailor some of our drives/walks to give us the best chances of seeing the animals we wanted, and even getting us in the gorilla group that had a 5 day old baby. He also looked out for the ladies in my group when it came to picking places with better toilets during some of the longer drives. If we return to see Kidepo valley and another visit to the gorillas, we will definitely use Grassrootz again and request Bob Magezi as our driver. You will not be disappointed with Grassrootz, I promise.

Amazing Africa experience with Grassroots adventures
We just came back from an amazing experience in the continent Africa.
We booked this 5 week holiday safari by Grassrootz adventure.
The communication was very good.
We travelled throughout 3 countries.
Uganda Tanzania and Kenia.
We told Sander from Grassrootz about what we want to see in all of this beautiful countries.
He planned the perfect routes for us.
And he also booked the accommodations.
Everything was beyond our expectations.
Uganda was very special with her chimpanzees ,gorillas , and a lot more of beautiful wildlife.
We see so much of everything.
Thanks to the very skilled driver.
Tanzania was very great.
We see a lot of lions in the Serengeti.
The Ngorongoro crater was also one of the great highlights.
Again we were lucky with all the wildlife we saw.
Leopard with a prey in a tree.
Not once but 2 times we saw this amazing animal.
The places where we sleep added also a great experience.
In the middle of the national parks.
With roaring lions in the night.
Our last country that we visit for 12 days was Tanzania.
With the great planes of the Maasai Mara.
Where we see Cheetahs, lions and many more.
Big elephants parades in Amboseli national park.
In Tsavo west we sleep in a very special hotel with a drinking place I front of the lodge.
AMAZING.
Totally we make 20 game drives.
We have travel thousands of miles.
The price that we have paid was worth every penny.
And really affordable comparing with other companies in Holland.
The communication was very good.

Fantastic and perfect organised journey in Uganda with Grassrootz
Very good organised trip all around Uganda. So much to see, such nice people. Our excellent guide and driver Paul Buzinde took us (5 persons) from Entebbe to Lake Bunyonyi and to the wonderful National Parks Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls. Most exciting was the Chimpansee Tracking in Kibale National Park. From the west to the beautiful mountains in the east part of Uganda. Especially the visit of the cattle market in Kotido (Karamoja area) was very interesting. The mountains near Kapchorwa are very beautiful and worth visiting.
Uganda is a fantastic destination.
We really recommand Grassrootz Adventures if you want to visit Uganda.

15 Days Big Five and Primates Safari
The 15 days in Uganda were incredibly beautiful! All the days were perfectly organized by Sander and his driver David is a very friendly and reliable person! He gave us a lot of background information about the country.
Uganda inspired us and put South Africa in the shade. All these colours, people and nature made us happy every day!
We'll come again ;-)

Outstanding tour operator with excellent communication and excellent choice of accommodations
The communication with the tour operator before my trip was excellent. Sander answered my questions at once and finalized my tailor-made tour itinerary with a map and day by day itinerary.
Emma is a fantastic driver, very friendly and made our tough 4 days safari possible.
The accomodations were all beautiful. Lake Chahafi Resort was outstanding - friendly staff, big rooms and beautiful located close to a lake and a volcano. If we had more time we would have stayed there longer.
Hiking Mount Sabinyo was tough but a good decision. The landscape was amazing.
Also the Gorilla tracking in Nkoringo sector was tough but totally rewarding.
Emma drove us to a nice lunch stop overlooking lake Buyani. Furthermore our game drive at Queen Elisabeth Nationalpark was successful, we even saw tree climbing lions. The kazinga chanel cruise with a smaller village people boat was also very rewarding. We could get closer to the coastline than the bigger tourist boats.
I knew that 4days with all those activities would be strenious but it was definetely worth it!!!
