Very professional and reasonably priced
We are from Australia. We wanted to do African safari at a reasonable price and did some online research and found Adventure Africa Expedition run by Dickson. We were met by the driver in Nairobi and everything exceeded our expectations. We had a great safari trip to Masai Mara. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend this company based in Kenya.

fantasic experience!!!
We had a 4 four days trek to climb Mt. Kenya early this July, the program was run by Adventure Africa Expedition. we really enjoyed this trek. We have 5 people including my 7-year-old son and the operation team includes 7 people, one master guider, two cookers and four porters. they are very experinced and very considerate, everything is this trek was organzied preperly.
When we reached Shipton Camp at the 2nd day, some of us felt very tired. The original schedule was to start climbing the Lenana peak from 1:30am and go back to Old Moses Camp by the end of day, we decided to start the ascend from 7:00 am and stay at Shipton camp in the evening so that we can have more rest. The master guide took every measure to help us, he tried many times to call the company to confirm this change, there was no signle in the mountain, we tried to call the company at many places during our way to the peak. We got the confirmation from company, I appreciate the flexibility, they rearranged the rest of the team based on the updated schedule so that we can have food and accomodation at the 3rd and 4th day. Finally, everything went very well. My 7-year-old son reached the summit and probably, he is among the yonngest who reached the Lenana summit. All of us really appreciate the service by the operator.

Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro combined
I made a combined trek to Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro with Adventure Africa Expedition in August 2019. Both treks have been well organised. Dickson was always available to provide helpful information and the crew was professional and friendly. The food and the service whilst on the treks have been very good. I also appreciated the flexibility to make some changes in schedule on the go.

Mount Elgin with quality comfort
Comms were excellent throughout. Slight acceptable delays when the staff are in the bush but more than acceptable. Chef and tour leader were provided and did an excellent job - food was outstanding in an austere environment. A good company providing a good, honest reliable service.

Can't recommend highly enough - brilliant from start to finish!
Our group had a brilliant experience with Adventure Africa Expedition (AAE) climbing Mount Kenya over 4 days. The logistics were seamless and support was fantastic from start to finish. AAE responded to my multiple queries clearly and quickly and made me feel fully confident about the challenging experience. The guides were not only expert at knowing the terrain but were amazingly fun, friendly and reassuring. The cooks literally worked miracles with the resources available and made consistently great meals that were varied and filling - a real morale boost! I can't thank AAE enough for making the experience so amazing and being so supportive the whole way through.

Memorable trip of a lifetime - for all the right reasons.
Exceeded expectations. Superb driver (Paul) who expertly managed many challenging tracks, and a great cook (Kata) who served up good food in some basic conditions. Both were attentive to the group’s needs and wishes. It was a fantastic safari experience (getting to Lake Turkana isn’t easy) with a perfect pace and variety of experiences and good value for money.
Missed out on the Turkana central island... next time!

Excellent
This was a 10 day road trip to Turkana. Adventure Africa planned and executed an amazing trip. The logistics were well executed and where there was hiccup it was quickly and efficiently rectifed. Communication with directing management before the trip was excellent keeping me informed and very responsive to enquiries. Had best deal as well good value for money.

Very good safari, but had problems at start and end of trip
I went on a trip with Adventure Africa Expedition in November 2019 in Tanzania (through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro). Whilst we had a fantastic trip, and I would recommend booking with the company, we did have a few problems on occasions throughout the trip.
Whilst booking, Dickson from Adventure Africa was very communicative, explaining exactly what we were booking. He was very accommodating and willing to change our tour based on what we wanted to experience. Whilst this changed slightly whilst on the trip (only the order of areas visited), we still visited all the places we wanted to.
On departing day, the tour owner was very late (nearly two hours). After he finally arrived, after trying to contact Adventure Africa many times, it was evident that the company that would be taking us on the tour, was different. This company was called Martial Eagle Safaris. This wasn't communicated during booking that.
We still had a small balance to pay upon the tour owners arrival, which we all had the money for (in cash) and had been communicated to us, at the time of booking. However, when paying, the owner of Martial Eagle Safaris was adamant that we had been quoted the incorrect amount and demanded that we paid another $100 USD each to start the tour. Upon managing to speak with Adventure Africa, Dickson told us that they had miscalculated and given us the wrong exchange rate. This meant that we had to fork out. I'm not sure if this was a scam or a genuine mistake, but I was extremely annoyed by this as we spent the morning trying to sort this out and it meant that our trip started badly.
After this, we stated our tour with our safari guide named China and our cook name Wiz. Both of these guys were fantastic and I couldn't fault either of them. China went out of his way throughout the trip to keep us happy and to find animals in the bush. He was an expert and we saw everything with his guidance. Wiz cooked up some brilliant food given the very basic facilities he was using to cook. If I was going on another safari, I'd want these guys to take me.
We had some fantastic days, seeing great wildlife. We camped in some great locations - including two locations that wildlife came through the came. These places were basic (and the bathrooms we not for the faint-hearted) but this is what we were expecting. All of our tents were also made for us upon arrival which was an added bonus.
Unfortunately, despite the amazing time we had on the trip, it ended on a low. On our final day, upon exiting the Serengeti, we were stopped from leaving as the owner of Martial Eagle had failed to pay the park fees. This meant we were stuck at the airport for over 5 hours. After China spent a lot of time negotiating, we managed to get out. This delay meant we arrived back in Arusha at about 10pm (and we were not able to see the town at all). This meant we ended our tour on a low.
Overall we had an amazing time on our trip, as the bulk of it whilst on safari, exceeded expectations. But the problems at start and end had a negative impact and were extremely annoying, putting a downer on our trip. Anyone booking with either of these companies should be aware of this.
Also, if you are planning on visiting the Serengeti area in late November, it's a really good time to go. It wasn't particularly busy and we saw everything!
